For local residents and those seeking an exceptional "camping near me" experience in Indiana, Rockville Lake Park, located at 828 Marshall Rd, Rockville, IN 47872, USA, offers an idyllic lakeside retreat. You can reach them at (765) 569-6541 or +1 765-569-6541 to plan your visit to this highly praised destination. Based on enthusiastic reviews from frequent visitors, Rockville Lake Park stands out for its stunning natural beauty, abundance of recreational activities, friendly atmosphere, and commitment to cleanliness, making it a top choice for families, nature lovers, and outdoor enthusiasts.
The environment at Rockville Lake Park is centered around a "big beautiful lake," which serves as the focal point for many of the park's attractions and activities. The presence of this expansive body of water creates a picturesque setting and provides opportunities for various forms of lakeside enjoyment. Visitors can expect scenic views, the calming presence of water, and a natural ambiance that promotes relaxation and outdoor engagement. The lake is large enough to accommodate boating and fishing, contributing to the overall appeal of the park as a comprehensive outdoor recreation destination.
One of the key features of Rockville Lake Park is its dedicated swimming area. Described as "spacious," this area allows families and individuals to enjoy swimming in the lake in a designated and presumably safe environment. The addition of a pier that is "super fun to jump off of" adds an element of excitement and adventure, particularly appealing to children and those who enjoy aquatic activities. The clean and inviting nature of the swimming area further enhances the park's reputation as a family-friendly destination.
For those who enjoy fishing, Rockville Lake Park offers "many fishing areas," catering to anglers of all skill levels. The presence of boat rentals further expands the fishing opportunities, allowing visitors to venture out onto the lake for a different perspective and access to potentially more abundant fishing spots. Beyond water-based activities, Rockville Lake Park boasts a "big disc golf course that spans into the woods." This feature provides a unique and engaging recreational option for visitors of all ages. The course's integration into the wooded areas likely adds a layer of challenge and natural beauty to the disc golf experience, making it a popular activity within the park. However, it's worth noting that while the disc golf course is extensive, the "nature trails aren't very big," suggesting that hiking might not be the primary draw of this particular park.

Rockville Lake Park Reviews
Rockville Lake is the only place my family and I will camp at. We've tried other camping spots but none of them are as wonderful as Rockville! The people here are always so happy and pleasant, they keep things as clean as they can, the swimming area is spacious and they have a pier that is super fun to jump off of! My family and I always see so much wild life when we come here, it's always so exciting for our kids. They also have many fishing areas and boat rentals so you can fish on the lake. They don't have a little general store inside the park like other camping areas do, but there are stores conveniently located just outside the park, only about 4-6 minutes away. We are definitely loyal to Rockville lake for a reason! It's a GREAT place to camp, and so beautiful!! I have a few photos, but I always have so much fun that I forget to take them!
Jul 27, 2020 · Anna FrenchBig beautiful lake and tons of places to go camping at. It has a small beach which would be awesome in the summer time. It has a big disc golf course that spans into the woods. However the nature trails aren't very big so I wouldn't go there just to hike. Great place to go fishing. It has a big dock you can walk out on also.
Apr 24, 2018 · Marty McMannWifes 1st time camping. These campgrounds are well maintained. Shower, toilets, water, electric. Very cozy and quiet. The dogs first time camping too. It was terrific!
Aug 08, 2020 · Stick UltraAwesome campground! Very clean, nice staff and lots of fun activities like frisbee golf! It's a bargain too at about $30 for a full hookup site! Take the family and get some fresh air!
May 10, 2022 · David MuseCamped here this past Sunday-Tuesday. Was supposed to stay another night but came home early due to how loud it was every morning early in the morning from what appeared to be workers. We were tent camping in modern and they were zipping in and out starting at 6 am in their trucks, golf carts, and even what sounded like an excavator from the section over. I was extremely disappointed bc I was looking forward to just being in nature and was hoping by going through the week it wldnt be busy, which it wasn’t. My daughter and her baby was with me and sleeping was difficult. Enjoy the cleanliness of the park. It appears to be family oriented with the parks but wish the staff was my respectful.
