The Havens Introduce
Looking for a tranquil escape into nature right here in Minnesota? Within the popular "camping near me" category, The Havens offers a unique cabin experience nestled in the scenic surroundings of Pine City. Located at 24885 Crooked River Rd, Pine City, MN 55063, USA, The Havens aims to provide a comfortable and convenient base for your outdoor adventures. This introduction is designed to give local users a detailed and objective overview of what The Havens offers, drawing upon available information to help you make an informed decision about your next camping getaway.
The environment surrounding The Havens is characterized by its proximity to the Crooked River. Imagine waking up to the sounds of nature and the potential for riverside activities. However, it's important to note that customer feedback indicates that at least one of the cabins, the "little oak cabin," is separated from the river by a road. This means that while river access is available, it might not be directly adjacent to your accommodation. Be aware that traffic along this road has been reported to generate dust, potentially impacting the immediate ambiance of the cabin.
While specific details about the services offered by The Havens are somewhat limited in the provided information, we can infer some common amenities associated with cabin rentals. Typically, camping cabins provide a more comfortable alternative to tent camping, often including beds, basic furniture, and protection from the elements. Based on the customer reviews, we can gather some insights into the operational aspects you might encounter.
One crucial aspect highlighted in the reviews concerns the availability of hot water. The "little oak cabin" is equipped with an on-demand water heater. However, a past guest experienced a temporary lack of hot water during their stay. Additionally, the propane tank supplying the hot water ran out, requiring the guest to manually switch to a backup tank. This suggests that while the cabin offers the convenience of hot water, it's advisable to be prepared for potential minor maintenance or operational tasks during your stay.
Access to the river from the "little oak cabin" is described as involving a steep hill without stairs. This is a significant point to consider, especially for individuals with mobility challenges or those carrying equipment to the river. The review mentions that the neighboring "big oak cabin" has a shelter and stairs leading to the river, but these amenities are not shared between the cabins. This lack of shared access might be a point of consideration if direct and easy river access is a high priority for your group.
Regarding the features of the "little oak cabin," the review mentions a coffee pot with a leaking water reservoir. While this might seem like a minor issue, it's an example of potential maintenance concerns that could affect the overall comfort and convenience of your stay. It's always wise to be prepared for minor inconveniences when opting for a more rustic accommodation like a camping cabin.
It's important to consider that the provided information is based on a single review, and experiences can vary. However, this feedback offers valuable insights into potential aspects of a stay at The Havens. While the location near the Crooked River holds appeal, the separation by a road, the steep and potentially challenging river access from at least one cabin, and the reported issues with hot water and appliances are factors to keep in mind.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for The Havens in the provided text. To learn about any special offers, discounts, or package deals, it would be best to directly contact the management or visit their official website, if one exists. You might also find information on booking platforms that list The Havens.
In conclusion, The Havens offers a camping cabin experience in the Pine City area, placing it within the "camping near me" category for local users. Its proximity to the Crooked River suggests opportunities for outdoor activities. However, prospective guests should be aware of the reported separation of at least one cabin from the river by a road, potentially challenging river access, and past issues with hot water and appliances. While the allure of a cabin getaway is strong, it's recommended to seek further information and potentially more recent reviews to gain a comprehensive understanding of what to expect during your stay at The Havens.

The Havens Reviews
Stayed at little oak cabin. They failed to mention on there web sight there is a road between the cabin and the river. People fly down the road and kick up a lot of dust. Ran out of hot water while showering. Has an on demand W/H. Propane tank went empty. Had to go outside and turn another tank on. There is a steep hill down to the river with no stairs. The big oak cabin next door has a nice little shelter and stairs but not shared as the people there told us. We couldn't share it anyway because they had a lot of people and stuff all over the place. Also the water reservoir on the coffee pot leaked all over the counter. Will not stay there again.
