Thousand Trails Mount Vernon Reviews
Out of the 3 thousand trails resorts we’ve stayed at. This has been the worst. The sites weren’t cleaned after each stay. The 4 sites we looked at before parking at one were littered with garbage, dog poop, and sizable tree limbs that had fallen. Bring your own fire pit because the pits they have are in a terrible spot (along the hillside, to close to the back of your trailer or are just falling apart). Thousand trails says you can only be in a spot for 21 days. There were several spots where permanent residents reside. During check in, they did an inspection of our trailer to make sure it was in good condition, but over half the trailers inside the resort were falling apart or have tarps wrapped around them which makes it even a larger eye sore. All of the facilities such as the pool, lodge, rc race track, and trails were closed. The restrooms were disgusting. There was pub hair all over several of the men’s restrooms and somebody shit all over the toilet seat. The women’s restroom smelled like it had a clog in the septic system and the smell was just fermenting in the pipes. I would not recommend visiting this resort.
Dec 01, 2024 · DanoWe love to stay here. You can have some difficulty checking in with the front office depending on which staff member you get. We have been staying here for almost 6 years. Campground, bathrooms, pool area, and lodge are very clean. The only thing i can re ommend is that you check your site for garbage, fire pit for smokes, cans, garbage and take photos at check-in. Make sure you call the office so you are not held responsible. Everyone one of us has a propane fire 🔥 pit but we have now learned our lesson to check our sites upon arrival.
Dec 02, 2024 · Andrea HWe had a great time. We were there for 2 weeks. Nice campground, well kept. I hope they continue putting in their disc golf course. Side note: Do you really need to use a code to go to the bathroom? You already use a code to enter the park. Please call me if you need help laying out the disc golf course.
Sep 10, 2024 · Bob R.Staff goes above and beyond, this park should be a example for other TT parks. Overall great stay, easy access to I-5.
Feb 09, 2025 · Steven LippThe only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is 1. When you arrive, you are threatened with a bunch of fines for breaking rules you haven't even broken. 2. They opened the pool without cleaning it. It had green algae growing and looked more like a swamp than a pool. It had been closed since last summer. The staff is nice enough. The activities director is fantastic. The biggest issue this park is having is that they are extremely understaffed. The cabin was cozy. The matress in the main bedroom is in need of replacing. The oven needs the burners cleaned. Gas stove has carbon built up, making the flames not properly functional. Overall, we had a great time. The large BBQ was nice, and we used it often.
