I cannot even begin to tell the adventure we had here. Driving to the location seemed a little scary at first( we are from Louisiana flat flat lands) but the roads are clear and ready for visitors. The owner will meet you at the shop at the opening of the retreat and will drive you to your spot. We met some really cool campers, and there are flushable toilets! There are mineral springs that you can take a small hike to. There is sulphur pouring down the mountain into the stream and it just takes you back to when the mine workers and others came there to soak it all up. I would return weekly if I could. They are doing great things out there and everyone should go and support them and enjoy the forest. - Jodi Maddox

Trinity Outpost Wilderness Resort Introduce

Looking for "camping near me" in a serene and adventurous wilderness setting? Consider Trinity Outpost Wilderness Resort, located at 11185 FS Rd 30N01, Douglas City, CA 96024, USA. This campground offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in nature, with features like riverside camping, access to mineral springs, and a tranquil forest environment. While a phone number isn't provided in the information, the address should help local users find its vicinity.

Based on customer reviews, Trinity Outpost Wilderness Resort provides a memorable and enjoyable camping experience. One visitor from Louisiana described their adventure, noting that the drive to the location, while initially seeming a bit daunting due to the mountainous terrain (compared to flatlands), was on clear and accessible roads. Upon arrival, the owner personally guides campers from the shop to their designated spot, adding a personal touch to the welcome.

A highlight mentioned by this reviewer is the social aspect, with opportunities to meet other campers. Practical amenities such as flushable toilets are also appreciated. For those seeking natural exploration, a short hike leads to mineral springs, where sulphur flows down the mountain into a stream, offering a glimpse into the area's history, reminiscent of when mine workers would soak in the waters. This reviewer expressed a strong desire to return frequently, emphasizing the positive experience and encouraging others to support this resort and enjoy the forest.

Another camper shared that their experience exceeded expectations. The abundance of trees created a beautiful natural setting, and their campsite was conveniently located next to a stream. A notable feature of their site was a wooden platform, described as a balcony overlooking the stream, which proved useful for supervising children playing in the water. The thoughtful placement of a fire pit, bench, picnic table, and water spout at the campsite was also appreciated.

For families, the resort offers additional recreational elements, including a wood chopping area with an axe, a swing, and a tetherball. While the location of the bathrooms was initially a bit unclear to this reviewer (initially thinking they were inside a nearby cabin), they found a separate, small bathroom cabin across the stream. These facilities were noted to be clean and well-maintained, even stocked with toilet paper.

Privacy appears to be another benefit, as this camper mentioned that even with other people camping, the sites were far enough apart to feel secluded, almost as if they were the only ones there. The only noted missing amenity was showers, but this did not detract significantly from their experience, as they found the stream to be a refreshing alternative for swimming, with some areas deep enough for adults to fully immerse themselves.

The service provided by the staff also received positive feedback. This reviewer arrived late at night, having informed the resort beforehand, and upon arrival, someone was readily available to guide them to their campsite, earning a "thumbs up" for the service.

Considering these reviews, Trinity Outpost Wilderness Resort seems to offer a blend of natural beauty, well-maintained basic amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere. For those searching for "camping near me" who value a wilderness experience with the sounds of a stream, opportunities for light hiking to mineral springs, and a sense of privacy, this resort could be an excellent choice.
