Lakes in eastern North Carolina often offer a peaceful ambiance, opportunities for fishing, and scenic views. While specific details about all services are not exhaustively listed in the reviews, the positive feedback suggests that essential amenities are well-provided. For RV travelers, the mention of a "travel trailer" in one review implies that the campground accommodates RVs. However, one reviewer did note an issue with "very low" water pressure for the water supply, which is a point potential guests might want to inquire about when booking, especially if relying heavily on onboard water systems. Despite this one caveat, the overall impression of the services is positive, with a focus on guest satisfaction and a clean environment. Fellow campers also contributed to a welcoming atmosphere, as noted by one guest who mentioned that they "made us feel welcome."
The features of Twin Lakes Campground are closely tied to its lakefront location and the amenities that support a comfortable stay. The primary feature is undoubtedly the access to the lake(s), which likely offers opportunities for fishing, leisurely walks along the shore, and potentially other water-based activities depending on campground rules and available facilities. The cleanliness of the property, repeatedly highlighted in the reviews, is a significant feature, indicating a well-maintained and pleasant environment for all guests. The friendly and helpful staff contribute to a positive overall experience. For those with RVs, the accommodation of travel trailers suggests the presence of RV sites, although the specific types of hookups available (water, electricity, sewer) would need to be confirmed with the campground. The welcoming nature of fellow campers adds a social dimension to the experience. While not explicitly mentioned, other common campground features such as picnic tables, fire rings, and restroom facilities are likely to be available. Local users interested in a lakefront camping experience with a focus on cleanliness and friendly service will find these features particularly appealing.

The combination of a serene lakefront setting, friendly and helpful staff, and a clean environment makes it an attractive destination for families, couples, and individuals seeking a relaxing outdoor getaway close to home. The fact that one reviewer specifically chose Twin Lakes over a hotel for a more affordable and enjoyable stay highlights its value proposition for local users looking for cost-effective and pleasant accommodation. The welcoming community of fellow campers also adds to the appeal, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie.

Twin Lakes Campground Reviews
We arrived for a 3 day stay.. we have a travel trailer. STAFF were very approachable and helpful. The resort was extremely clean and fellow campers made us feel welcome 🙏We live just 11/2 from there and were told about Twin Lake and are happy we had. Hope to visit often as finances permit.I gave a rating of 4 only due to their water pressure for water supply was very low. Otherwise 5 star straight up..
Apr 07, 2025 · Harlan NobleWe were coming to Washington for a friend's wedding and needed a place to stay. We truly lucked out when we found this campground; I almost booked us a hotel but wanted to see if there were any nicer, more affordable options. Enter Twin Lakes! This place is so serene. Right on the lake, clean property, and friendly staff. We'll definitely be back!
Oct 27, 2024 · Tavia GatanasClean enuf and good location. Just not a camping campground. This is a camper subdivision. Got lucky and was put on a gravel site but the majority of available sites are dirt/ grass. Not good if the weather gets bad. Over all not many sites there for those passing thru. This is more for resident campers.
