This is a hidden Lil gem of a campground. Beautiful water with swimming holes, fishing, crawfish and clean sites. Went with our grandchildren and great grands ages 8, 6 and 5 months. Easy trail down to water, potable water site, clean bathrooms, picnic area for day use. Would highly recommend it. No cell service though. But who cares when your on the river anyways!

Need a quick little high to satisfy those nature walking needs? This has to be one of the quickest hikes but 1 of the most rewarding in the area. With parking right off the street and the hike only lasting about a quarter of a mile , it is a nice little walk. On this trail there is a water feature and a bridge and plenty benches all the way to the end of the trail. This is a in and out Trail with the end looking all over the highway and the river. There is an incline with switchbacks, but is wheelchair-friendly. This Trail can be enjoyed by anyone who's looking for a short Adventure in the mountains.

My family and I went there over the weekend and we had such an amazing time. Very clean campground and everyone was so respectful of noise. Our site had a private access to the river, a little steep for older people or tiny kids but my littles handled it like a champ! It was so beautiful and so perfect. Our camp was close to the water that you could hear the river all night, which was just amazing! The views were breath taking and we all had an amazing time. 10/10 recommend! I saw some reviews about the noise from the street, but we never heard the road, must have been muffled by the river. Either way that's a plus for those sites.

Our time at Trout Creek Campground deserves 5 stars, but I could see how others may rate it lower, which I will get into soon.The campground is tucked away in Willamette National Forest, and most camp sites seem to have a decent amount of privacy and separation between the others. There is creek and river access. There are vaulted toilets that weren't a disgusting mess. There are a couple potable water pumps (you'll have to search for them). There are trash cans. The rangers do a good job of cleaning up . And from what I could see, most campsites had a good amount of space. It's a beautiful campground and for a Friday night in early August, it was pretty peaceful.All that being said, it's possible that one may have the misfortune of having loud, disruptive, inconsiderate neighbors. There's no camp host on site, and there's no cell service. If you get stuck next to a wild party that blares music all night, you could be in for a miserable time. It didn't happen to us, but it's a possibility one should consider.I'd advise anyone to reserve a site online, ahead of time, preferably one next to the water. The first come first serve sites were all taken when we arrived, but chances of snagging one are probably decent on other weekdays.
