Voyageurs RV Campground and Cabins Introduce
For local residents of International Falls and the surrounding areas searching for "camping near me," Voyageurs RV Campground and Cabins, located at 2031 2nd Ave, International Falls, MN 56649, USA, offers a centrally located option for RV and cabin stays. With contact numbers (218) 285-9100 and +1 218-285-9100, this campground aims to provide accessible accommodation for those exploring the region or seeking a local getaway. It is important for prospective local users to consider the varied experiences reported by recent visitors to form an informed decision.
The environment of Voyageurs RV Campground and Cabins is described by one reviewer as being "right in main drag," indicating a location within the town of International Falls rather than a secluded natural setting. This urban proximity could offer convenience in terms of access to local amenities and services within the town. However, it also suggests that campers might experience more noise and less privacy compared to campgrounds situated in more remote, natural environments. While the immediate surroundings might lack extensive natural features directly on the property, its location in International Falls positions it as a potential base for exploring the broader natural attractions of the region, including the renowned Voyageurs National Park, which is likely a significant draw for visitors to this area. The accessibility to the town could be a positive aspect for local users who appreciate having urban conveniences nearby while still seeking a camping or cabin experience.
The services and amenities at Voyageurs RV Campground and Cabins appear to have received mixed feedback. One positive review mentions "hook-ups easy to use and in a good spot" for RVs, suggesting that essential services for RV travelers are functional and conveniently located. The same review also notes that the property was "clean of trash" at each site. Furthermore, the helpfulness of a staff member named Josh was highlighted. However, a contrasting review raises significant concerns about the quality of amenities. This reviewer reported "no public potable water source," "dingy and ill stocked" bathrooms, and "moldy and stinky" showers that appeared to have not been cleaned recently. These are critical aspects for camper comfort and hygiene. The negative review also mentioned that campsites were "close together and no privacy." Local users with specific needs regarding water access and bathroom facilities should inquire directly about the current status and quality of these amenities before booking. The discrepancy in these reviews suggests a potential inconsistency in the maintenance and provision of services.
Features of Voyageurs RV Campground and Cabins include both RV sites with easy-to-use hookups and cabin rentals, catering to different accommodation preferences. The mention of a "good price" in one review suggests that affordability might be a key feature for budget-conscious local travelers. The feeling of safety reported by one reviewer ("felt safe") is also a notable feature, particularly for those camping alone or with families. However, the other review's description of the campground being "small" and lacking privacy could be a drawback for those seeking a more secluded and spacious camping experience. The fact that the online check-in referred to "Voyageurs campground and RV park" while the address led to "Arnold’s" indicates a potential branding or operational connection between these names, which might be worth clarifying for local users making reservations. The alleged practice of only allowing positive reviews through a specific link raises concerns about the transparency and objectivity of the online feedback for this campground. Local users should therefore consider all available information, including the more critical review, when evaluating this option.
Currently, no specific promotional information or special offers for local users are mentioned in the provided reviews. To inquire about potential discounts for local residents, off-season rates, or any other promotions that might be available, it is recommended to contact Voyageurs RV Campground and Cabins directly at (218) 285-9100 or +1 218-285-9100. When calling, local users can also ask about any specific policies or amenities that might be relevant to their stay, such as pet policies, Wi-Fi availability, or check-in/check-out procedures. Direct communication will provide the most accurate and up-to-date information on pricing and any potential special offers.
The customer reviews for Voyageurs RV Campground and Cabins present a mixed picture. One reviewer found it to be a good value, clean, quiet, and appreciated the helpful staff and easy-to-use hookups. This suggests a potentially satisfactory experience for some visitors, particularly those prioritizing price and basic functionality. However, the other review expresses significant dissatisfaction with the lack of potable water, the condition of the bathrooms and showers, the close proximity of campsites, and the alleged manipulation of the review system. This feedback indicates that potential guests should be aware of the possibility of encountering subpar amenities and a less-than-ideal level of cleanliness. The feeling of safety and the quiet atmosphere reported by both reviewers are positive aspects. Local users need to weigh these contrasting experiences when considering this campground.
For local residents looking for "camping near me" at Voyageurs RV Campground and Cabins, it is strongly advised to contact the campground directly to inquire about the current condition of the facilities, especially the water source and restrooms. Ask for recent updates on maintenance and cleaning protocols. Additionally, clarify the relationship between "Voyageurs campground and RV park" and "Arnold’s" to avoid any confusion upon arrival. Given the concerns raised about campsite privacy, it might be helpful to inquire about site layouts and request a site that offers more space if that is a priority. By directly engaging with the campground management, local users can gain a clearer understanding of the current state of the property and make a more informed decision based on their individual needs and expectations.
In conclusion, Voyageurs RV Campground and Cabins offers a conveniently located option for "camping near me" in International Falls, MN, with RV hookups and cabin rentals available. While one review highlights its affordability, cleanliness of individual sites, and helpful staff, another raises serious concerns about the lack of potable water, the poor condition of bathrooms and showers, and the limited privacy. Local users should carefully consider these contrasting experiences and directly contact the campground to obtain current information on amenities and conditions before making a booking to ensure it meets their requirements for a local camping or cabin getaway.

Voyageurs RV Campground and Cabins Reviews
We stayed a few nights and would come back as it is a good price. Clean and quiet. Josh was very nice and helpful if needed. Hook-ups easy to use and in a good spot. Property could use a little spruce up and tree trimming but each site was clean of trash. We would stay again if we return to the area.
Jul 29, 2024 · Julie SmithI was shocked with my experience versus the many positive reviews, until after my stay when I was sent a link to review and could only submit a review if I said that I would recommend it, totally skewed reviews! There was no public potable water source, the bathrooms were dingy and ill stocked, the showers were so moldy and stinky and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in ages. Campsites close together and no privacy. Small campground right in main drag. While the price was lower than some, it was high for the sketchy amenities. Glad to be out of there. Fellow campers were quiet and it felt safe. Also we checked in online and it was called Voyageurs campground and RV park yet the address took us to Arnold’s and they are the same place.
Aug 22, 2024 · Emmy HeldWe stayed here for two weeks and absolutely loved it. The price is amazing. It had a shower house that gets the job done. The location was great for adventuring. It’s basically half way between Rainy Lake Visitors Center and Lake Kabetogama. Close to shops and fast food if need be. Gas station and propane etc just down the road. We loved our daily visits from deers wandering through. The area for the Rv and picnic table/firepit was perfect. We had to stay longer because of rv issues and these guys were more than understanding. In fact they arranged things so we didn’t have to even move. Nothing was an issue and super lovely people as well! We will be back again for sure! Thanks for being awesome!!!
Jul 23, 2024 · Marcelle AlvernazSites are a little tight, but we were only there a couple nights. Josh was awesome throughout booking, checking in, and anything you needed while onsite. Perfect stop if you’re staying in the area. Super close to Voyageurs Natl Park.
Jul 27, 2024 · Sam HilemanUPDATE: We did stay again, this time in a tent and we won't do that ever again here. We got blocked in our spot by a big truck and camper which was not great at 3am. In a tent, of course you hear everything and the road right by the site is very busy and loud. So loud. The car was better at blocking noise, so beware if you are tenting to bring ear buds. Our site this time didn't have a fire pit and the spot felt odd like it was in someone's back yard. Just very noisy and RV campers don't really seem to care about those in tents.Original review; We stayed for 2 nights here, car camping in a tent site. Great location for us as we were working over night security at a location just a minute away. The bathrooms are nice, clean and even tho older are very well taken care of. Same with the shower room. Love the tall trees and shade we had from that. The fire pit was very big and covered which was great. Small grounds which is nice, it was full tho! The owners are very helpful and easy to talk to. They only take cash or check. Great prices and good location in town. We hope to go back!
