Wax Campground Reviews
Our favorite campground down here. The campground volunteers Charles and Bridgett are the best. They treat you like family. The rangers and sheriff are great as well! My home away from home.
Jun 16, 2024 · Jackie GregoryGreat place to spend time away with family and friends. I've been going here for 35 years. There's camping, fishing and playground. Nice relaxing place to go. No restaurants near by in this rural county.
Sep 07, 2024 · Barbara SwanLoved the camp site we had directly on the water. Only hated the trucks and bobcat and employees right in front of us picking up washed up tree stumps. Their activities left a huge muddy waterfront to not only look at but to walk through to get to our kayaks!!!! It was great till then. 👎
Jun 22, 2024 · Michelle DobbsBeautiful campsite! Quiet, clean, and patrolled frequently by both rangers and the sheriff department. The restroom and showers were wonderful and very clean. Our site was right on the water. Cell service is spotty but expected. A dollar general is close and Buoys is next door with excellent food. We can't wait to come back!
Jul 11, 2023 · Lillian MathewsWe stayed in C11 on a Tuesday night in our tent with our baby and toddler. The loop wasn't even a third full and everyone was quiet and respectful. The bathrooms were clean and close. We swam in the lake, accessed just down the hill from our site. There was a great mini rock beach with a bunch of driftwood. If tent camping, plan to set up on the gravel pad and have a mallet or hammer for your tent stakes because the ground is hard. This was a great family friendly spot!
