Whistlin' Pine Ranch Reviews
My family came to Lake Chelan area for spring break and were looking for horseback riding options in the area. Most suggestions were for Leavenworth or Stehekin (too far away), but luckily we found this place. It’s a 4th generation ranch, that is gorgeous! My kids and I range from little horse exposure to experienced rider and we all thoroughly enjoyed it! The horses are healthy, happy and well cared for. The owner-is great and we learned she is a National Champion Mounted Shooter. Both kids asked if we could do it again next time we are in the area! Thanks for a great time, would definitely recommend riding here, the untouched beauty is amazing!
Apr 12, 2025 · Beezer SnowTara is a wonderful host. The camp sites are more isolated then usual camp grounds which we like. Running water was available to wash dishes and such. We were able to get out and paddle on the lake ever day. Tons of fish, birds turtles and wildlife. The horse back ride was awesome and want to go back for the longer ride. We did go down the road to shower at the state park and noticed how clean it was but also how close the camp sites were to each other there. We enjoyed going back to our isolated tent at Whistlin Pine Ranch. Thanks again Tara.

Aug 19, 2024 · Amanda PerryWhistlin' Pine Ranch and Tara, Thank you very much for a wonderful much needed stay at horse camp! What a weekend absolutely loved it! Camp was very serene, picturesque,an private. The horse camp is located in an old pasture at the base of two canyons. I loved the morning waking up to that unobstructed view of the lake with a cup of coffee. Please note : The highlines for the horses are provided and are right outside your RV door. Water is provided for the horses and very close. Remember to bring a 🪣. Camp also has a huge fire pit with unique log seating around it! Ample fire wood was provided. It was nice cooking smores and hotdogs around the campfire in the evening. We had a guided trail ride on Sat. we took the 4 hour ride. The ride has AMAZING VIEWS! We saw lots of wildlife too! The fall colors were gorgeous! It was definitely a ride I will cherish for a life time! On Sun we did the two hour ride. My mother at a young 74 years old came with us that day! The 2 hour ride is very relaxing and enjoyable. If your looking for a secluded place to Camp with your friends, family, and horses whislin' Pine Ranch is the place to go! Thank you Tara!!! 😊
Oct 10, 2024 · Sharon WhitakerWe were able to reserve some space for our RV on short notice. The resort is tucked back into the lake and has lots of privacy and great little beach for lake fun.. The property has a great outfitters history and wonderful character. The owner was a wonderful host who made sure our stay was very pleasant. If you want the rustic feel, It’s great. I would stay again for sure.
