Woodbridge Campground Introduce
Looking for "camping near me" in the Paulding, Ohio area that offers a family-friendly atmosphere and a range of amenities? Consider Woodbridge Campground, located at 8656 Rd 137, Paulding, OH 45879, USA. Based on recent customer reviews, this campground boasts awesome hosts, a welcoming community, and several features designed for a fun and relaxing stay. Let's explore the environment, services, and features that make Woodbridge Campground a noteworthy option for local users.
Environment: Spacious Sites, Pond, and Family-Oriented Layout
One reviewer who stayed during the off-season still enjoyed their time, indicating a pleasant environment year-round. Another visitor in the summer described the campground as having around 200 sites, with a significant portion being seasonal, suggesting a well-established and possibly spacious layout. A key environmental feature is a pond with inflatables, which seems to be a popular attraction for all ages. The presence of a large playground also points to a family-oriented focus. While the reviews don't extensively detail the natural landscape (e.g., wooded vs. open), the positive mentions suggest a comfortable and enjoyable outdoor setting. One practical note is that the well water is described as "very hard with iron ferrous," which can cause staining. However, the reviewer provided helpful tips for managing this with portable water softeners and iron-out products.
Services and Amenities: Full Hookups, Pool, and Friendly Hosts
Woodbridge Campground offers a range of services and amenities that cater to different camping needs. These include:
- Full Hookup Sites: One reviewer who stayed overnight was able to get a full hookup site, including 50/30/20 amp electric, water, and sewer. This is a significant convenience for RV campers.
- Pool: A pool is mentioned as one of the family-friendly features, perfect for cooling off during the warmer months.
- Pond with Inflatables: A fun attraction for all ages, with free life jackets provided.
- Playground: A large playground is available for children.
- Friendly Hosts: Both reviews highly praise the owners and hosts, Travis and Jeff, for being awesome, helpful, and visible throughout the weekend. One even mentioned firewood delivered directly to their campsite.
- Off-Season Water: Water is reported to still run during sub-freezing temperatures, which is a plus for off-season campers (though the hard water issue persists).
The campground seems well-equipped for both short-term and seasonal stays, with a focus on creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for families.
Features: Family Fun, Community Feel, and Special Events
Woodbridge Campground stands out for its family-centric features and the friendly atmosphere created by the seasonal campers and the owners:
- Family-Friendly Environment: With a large playground, pool, and pond inflatables, there are plenty of activities to keep families entertained.
- Friendly Community: The seasonal campers are described as "incredibly friendly," contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.
- Visible and Helpful Owners: Travis and Jeff are noted for being visible and very helpful, going the extra mile for their guests (e.g., firewood delivery).
- Special Events: During one reviewer's stay, there was a pig roast with free hay rides, indicating that the campground may host special events to enhance the guest experience.
One suggestion for improvement was a paved sidewalk to the playground, as rainy conditions made stroller navigation difficult. This feedback highlights the campground's appeal to families with young children.

Woodbridge Campground Reviews
I stayed during off season and still enjoyed our being here. Travis and Jeff are awesome hosts. They helped me setup and were very fast at helping with any concerns I had. The water still runs during sub freezing temperatures. The well water is very hard with iron ferrous that will turn things orange. Portable water softeners with some added iron out will help and the iron out spray will make any staining go away in seconds. Otherwise, awesome place to stay!
Jun 21, 2018 · Dustin ColucciStayed two nights 8/24/18 with my wife and two young boys and had a great time. Of about 200 sites, around 160 are seasonal. However, we were able to get a full hookup (electric had 50/30/20, water and sewer) overnight site and enjoyed the weekend. All of the seasonal campers were incredibly friendly. The campground overall is very family-friendly with a large playground, pool, pond with inflatables (everyone regardless of age has to wear life jackets on the inflatables, but they are provided free of charge). They had a pig roast with free hay rides one night we were there. The owners were visible all weekend and very helpful, including firewood delivered directly to our campsite. The only thing that could be improved is a paved sidewalk to the playground. We had a lot of rain while we were there and it made getting to and from the playground with a stroller tough. We will definitely be going back!
Aug 28, 2018 · Stefan FaerberNice campground. Decent bathrooms. Water is awful with Sulphur smell.
Jul 14, 2023 · Paul MeolaWe had a tire come off our RV and needed an emergency place to camp. They found us a spot, Travis made sure our camper was set up safely and securely along with the neighbor of our spot, they hooked everything up for us in the pouring rain and came by on Saturday to check on us. The campground is beautiful, with a pond to swim in, and a pool and they have activities in the main hall as well as a kitchen to order food from that they deliver. I can't say enough amazing things about this campground and the people who work there!!!
