Powell Creek Campground Reviews
We were looking for a place to stay on a whim as our son was away at camp Lakota for the weekend. Being 12 minutes away, this place was very conveniently located for us. We arrived on a Friday evening and we were greeted immediately by the owner, Bob. He was extremely welcoming. We only stayed for the weekend but most of the folks there stay for the season. During our stay, we did our rounds and met tons of amazing people! Other members of Bob's family were also extremely hospitable and did there best to make us feel welcome. The camp is kept nice and tidy, the pond was super nice and the feel was perfect with all of the beautiful trees. Thank you Bob and family for an amazing weekend; well certainly be back! Ps: you've gotta try the hobo stew! Mmmmmm....
Oct 20, 2024 · Team Mangini Real Estate LLCNice place to stay. Very nice lady at the office Sonja. They have wifi that just got updated Thanks Chris. Good price. Has a bath house that is open with screen for air flow so kinda chilly, hot showers cost $.25/5 minutes. Awesome place to camp
Jul 10, 2019 · Robert SchaperWe have camped at this campground for over 15 years! My BFF and i donated a lot of time and money to put together kids crafts and parties. We did not ask for any money in return.. We enjoyed it! This year we were the TARGET! Not worth the harassment...I watched a gentleman next to us, do in appropriate things due to being so drunk/:as i was sitting at my picnic table,! and I have to explain to my grandkids why there are flags flying everywhere in the campgrounds that have cuss words and hateful words.. I like to go to campground to relax! Not be hit in the face with Politics!
Oct 25, 2023 · Shelle CorwinNew owners are hateful people unless you are part of their extremely hard drinking crowd. Have seen the owner get so intoxicated that she fell on the ground and couldn't get back up. I had to explain to my grandkids why she was rolling around on the ground at a kids event. Politics definitely take center stage here! Even witnessed naked men running around with a Trump flag at the pavilion where kids were present. Loved this place for 17+ years and now it totally sucks!
Sep 13, 2023 · Kelly LayneGood campground to spend a weekend at like we did. There are a lot of trees that needed a trimming though. The spot that I stayed at in particular had a large tree growing right where the camper should be and even when you get the camper parked there is another tree on the other side that only allowed me to open my awning about 2 foot. The people that stay here are all very friendly and willing to say hello as you walk by. There is a nice pond down the hill that is stocked with fish that is catch and release only along with a decent beach / swimming area as well. There seems to be some golf cart trails in the woods but when we stayed they were under water from the river that snakes through the woods.
