For local users searching for "camping near me" in the vicinity of Missoula, Montana, Yellowrock Campground presents itself as a highly recommended option based on customer reviews. This introduction aims to provide a detailed overview of the environment, services, and features of Yellowrock Campground to help you decide if it's the perfect spot for your next camping adventure.
For those browsing under the category "camping near me," Yellowrock Campground stands out for its positive feedback regarding cleanliness, maintenance, and the helpfulness of its staff. One reviewer explicitly recommends it as "the place to stay" if you are going to camp near Missoula, MT. This suggests that Yellowrock Campground caters to a variety of campers, potentially including those with tents, RVs, and trailers, making it relevant for a broad range of individuals looking for camping options in the area.
The environment of Yellowrock Campground is highly praised. Its location "right next to Lolo Creek" suggests a picturesque setting with the soothing sounds and potential recreational opportunities offered by the creek. This proximity to water often enhances the camping experience, providing opportunities for fishing, wading, or simply enjoying the natural beauty of a flowing stream. The description of the campground as "clean well maintained" indicates that the management takes pride in the upkeep of the grounds, contributing to a pleasant and comfortable environment for campers.
In terms of services, Yellowrock Campground appears to excel in customer care. One reviewer shared a remarkable experience where, after having to leave early due to an injury, their trailer unhooked and crashed. Two maintenance staff members went above and beyond by helping to get it hooked back up. Additionally, the campground unexpectedly refunded one night of their reservation. This act of kindness and support highlights a commitment to customer satisfaction that goes beyond basic service provision. The reviewer specifically thanked Yellowrock for their "hospitality," underscoring the welcoming and helpful nature of the staff.
The features of Yellowrock Campground, beyond its location by Lolo Creek, are implied through the positive comments about cleanliness and maintenance. A well-maintained campground typically offers organized campsites, clean common areas (such as restrooms, if available), and an overall sense of care. While the reviews don't detail specific amenities like a playground, laundry facilities, or a camp store, the focus on cleanliness and maintenance suggests a well-run operation that prioritizes the comfort of its guests. The proximity to Lolo Creek itself can be considered a significant natural feature, offering aesthetic and recreational value.
However, not all feedback is entirely positive. One reviewer recounts an interaction with another individual in the campground regarding a clothesline. While this incident seems to be more about a disagreement with another camper rather than the campground's policies or staff (except perhaps in the context of rule enforcement), it does suggest that there might be some sensitivities or differing expectations among guests regarding campground etiquette. The reviewer's frustration stemmed from being asked to take down their clothesline while trying to dry wet clothes after a motorcycle ride. This single negative anecdote should be balanced against the overwhelmingly positive experience shared by the other reviewer regarding the helpfulness of the staff and the overall quality of the campground.
There is no specific promotional information mentioned in the provided reviews. To learn about any current specials, discounts for local residents, or seasonal offers at Yellowrock Campground, it would be best to contact them directly using the provided phone numbers. For local users searching for "camping near me" who value a clean, well-maintained campground with friendly and helpful staff, Yellowrock Campground appears to be an excellent choice. Its location next to Lolo Creek adds to its appeal, offering a scenic and potentially recreational environment. While one incident suggests the possibility of occasional disagreements among campers, the overwhelmingly positive feedback, especially regarding the staff's helpfulness in an emergency and the overall maintenance of the campground, makes Yellowrock a strong contender for those looking to camp in the Missoula area.
In conclusion, Yellowrock Campground in Lolo, MT, offers a clean and well-maintained camping experience right by Lolo Creek. May 08, 2025 · Kurt SchnellDemocrat on bicycle told us to take down our clothes line, good thing she had a mask on outside on her bicycle, we were on motorcycles and wet, I hung my wet clothes on My bike which looked worse for them. They will legitimately drive around and find things to complain about. Will never return.
Nov 25, 2024 · Bryan KussThe nicest camp grounds i have been to in a long time. Shout out to Samantha at the office. This young lady was the most friendly, energetic and personable person I have had the pleasure of dealing with on my 2 week bike trip across the northwestern states. The service she gave was impeccable and escorted me to my site. 32.00 for a beautiful tent site surrounded by tall pine trees. Samantha, your are a superstar. Thank you so much. Your personality was a welcome experience after 10 hrs on a motorcycle in the hot sun.
Aug 15, 2024 · Al McNeilMy husband and I traveled over 8200 miles in a 22 day period this summer and off all the campgrounds we experienced this one was by far my favorite. It was quiet, clean, had plenty of shade, the spaces were nicely spaced and it had a lovely stream running along the back of our site. I only wish we had been able to stay longer than one night. Thank you Yellowrock.
Aug 21, 2024 · Judy MagrumActually beautiful campground. Didn’t feel like bikes were welcome. The older lady on the staff is rude and has no manners. The young lady on staff is awesome. We asked to stay another night she said tent policy is 3 night max so if something happens find another site because you can’t stay there. Bathrooms are clean offers a lot but only for the campers not the tenters, or at least if you are on bikes.
