Your Haven Campground Introduce
For local users searching for "camping near me," Your Haven Campground, located at 18337 MN-22 in Richmond, Minnesota, presents a location with water access that may be of interest. However, it is essential for potential visitors to carefully consider the recent feedback from individuals who have interacted with the campground, as the reviews present a starkly contrasting picture of the experience offered.
One detailed account describes a highly negative interaction with a man, presumably associated with the campground. According to this review, the individuals were driving through the park in a side-by-side vehicle while looking for a potential summer RV parking spot and also exploring nearby property for sale. They noted seeing a golf cart near the water access and proceeded to drive towards that area. As they were turning around to leave, a man allegedly stood in the middle of the road, displaying an angry demeanor and demanding if they could read. When they inquired about his concern, he reportedly repeated the question and pointed to a sign indicating "no motorized vehicles." The reviewers admitted to not noticing the sign, attributing it to being new to the park and observing another motorized vehicle nearby. When they mentioned their interest in RV parking, the man allegedly responded abruptly that the campground was "FULL." The reviewer expressed significant disappointment and characterized the interaction as rude, aggressive, and disrespectful, strongly recommending against staying at the campground.
A follow-up comment, seemingly from someone familiar with the individual described in the negative review, provided a different perspective on the person's background, identifying him as a third-generation local farmer. This commenter suggested that kindness should have been extended and that the alleged aggression towards individuals making a mistake was unwarranted. While acknowledging the reviewers' oversight in not noticing the sign, this commenter also criticized the perceived lack of respect shown to them.
In contrast to this negative experience, another brief review mentioned a positive visit to the campground while seeing family members. This reviewer stated, "Visited our daughter and son in law, we had a great time." This suggests that for those already connected to individuals staying at the park, the experience can be enjoyable.
However, this positive review also noted a potential issue with the "floating dock," mentioning that it could be challenging for older individuals with balance concerns, leading to some "laughs about bouncing." This indicates a specific feature of the campground's water access that might be a consideration for some visitors.
Considering these reviews, Your Haven Campground appears to offer water access, potentially a significant draw for those interested in lakeside activities. The presence of a floating dock suggests opportunities for swimming, fishing, or boating, although the stability of the dock might be a concern for some. The campground seemingly accommodates RVs, as indicated by the initial inquiry about summer parking. However, the availability of sites may vary, as suggested by the abrupt "WE ARE FULL" response in the negative review.
Information regarding other specific services and amenities at Your Haven Campground is limited in these reviews. Details about the environment beyond the water access, the types of campsites available, restroom and shower facilities, or other recreational features are not mentioned. Therefore, local users seeking more comprehensive information about the campground's offerings will need to look beyond these personal accounts.
The stark contrast between the negative and positive experiences highlights the potential for variability in visitor interactions at Your Haven Campground. The negative review raises concerns about the management's communication style and customer service, while the positive review suggests that some visitors can have an enjoyable time, particularly when visiting family. The comment about the floating dock indicates a specific feature that could be both a source of amusement and a potential challenge depending on individual mobility.
Given the limited and conflicting nature of these reviews, local users searching for "camping near me" should exercise caution when considering Your Haven Campground. The negative account of a rude and unwelcoming interaction is a significant red flag that potential visitors should not disregard. While the positive review suggests that a pleasant stay is possible, it is crucial to seek additional information and potentially contact the campground directly to inquire about their policies, availability, and to get a better sense of the overall atmosphere and management style. It would be prudent to look for more reviews on various platforms to gain a broader understanding of the typical guest experience at Your Haven Campground before making a decision.
In conclusion, Your Haven Campground in Richmond, Minnesota, offers water access and a floating dock, and it accommodates RVs. However, recent reviews present a mixed picture, with a concerning account of a rude and unwelcoming interaction contrasting with a positive experience visiting family. The floating dock may pose a challenge for those with balance issues. Due to the limited and conflicting information, local users are strongly advised to seek additional reviews and information before considering a stay at Your Haven Campground to ensure it meets their expectations for a positive camping experience.

Your Haven Campground Reviews
We drove through the park yesterday as we are looking for a place to park our RV for the summer. We were in the area on our side by side looking at property for sale. We drove to the back to look at the water access and noticed a person driving their golf cart down by the water. We turned around to pull back out and a man was standing in the middle of the road, hands on his hips and looking angry. We stopped and he barked at us asking if we could read? Confused we both looked at him not understanding why he was so angry. When we asked what he was talking about, he barked again “CAN YOU READ” we both said yes and he pointed to a sign that said no motorized vehicles. To be honest we were not paying attention to the sign. New to the park and with the other “motorized vehicle” down by the water, we didn’t think much of it. When we mentioned that we were looking for a place for our RV, he again barked at us and said “WE ARE FULL”. I just don’t understand this world today where people feel the need to be rude and aggressive to complete strangers making an honest mistake. The man you were barking at is born and raised right here, 3rd generation farmer with over 3000 acres in this community and works hard to put food on your table. Kindness is free. You don’t have to take your aggression out on people who simply made a mistake. Were we wrong for not noticing the sign? Yes. But the blatant disrespect for your common man was appalling. You could have shown a small amount of respect.I can only pray you treat the people in your park with half the respect you shown us yesterday. 100% do not recommend.

Jul 02, 2024 · Ronlinda SumstadI come here with my family on a nearly weekly basis between June and October. The owners are very friendly and the campers are as well. The amenities are wonderful and the events keep me and my family entertained all season long.Your Haven allows pets to join you as well which I absolutely love. Just beware of the green algae in the lake when you bring your dogs, as it can be fatal for them if ingested. I don't blame the owners for this because there isn't much a single campground owner can do to change it.The site has a laundromat and plenty of tools to use if you need them. Golf carts are permitted on the small roads as long as they are electric and are even allowed to be on the beach.I highly recommend giving Your Haven a chance, should the opportunity present itself.
Jun 18, 2022 · Ben SmithThe resort has gone downhill since the ownership change a few years ago. It's mostly a clean and organized park. But, the beach is over run with golf carts. Literally more golf carts than some golf courses...50+. Jet-ski's clutter up most of the water frontage, no room to swim. Free Wi-Fi in the entire park. On site boat launch. Firewood available, and fire rings at nearly every site.(At no fault of this resort... just fyi.) By June the water seems to turn into a green slime. Water visibility maybe 12 inches by summer's end. The lake itself has really dropped off in terms of fishing. 5-10 years ago a person could go out and fish to their limit on sunfish in a matter of a couple hours. Now there's so much boat traffic and pressure you can fish all day long and not get a bite.Overall this is a great family friendly park, that is gated in the evening to keep out the riff-raff. Though it can be a little expensive, it still is one of the nicer campgrounds on the Horseshoe Chain of lakes.
Jul 22, 2018 · BigSexyVanManBesides being a clean, friendly resort, they always maintain a family friend environment. They have social events tailored to adults, families, and children. Just the clean appearance first attracted us to this resort.
