Furthermore, its proximity to major highways ensures convenient travel to nearby attractions like Donner Lake (just minutes away) and Lake Tahoe (about 10 miles away). The elevation ensures ideal temperatures, especially during summer, and the ability to enjoy the change of seasons all year long, from mild summer days to snowy winters for skiing and snowboarding.

Many sites are pull-throughs, making ingress and egress easy. Free digital cable TV and basic wireless internet are typically provided. While some reviews mention sites can be "tight" for larger RVs, they are generally noted for being level and spacious enough.
- P Modern Cabin Rentals: The "cabin trailer-homes" are a standout feature. They are described as "well designed, clean and have everything you need for a short stay," including full kitchens, full bathrooms (some with in-floor radiant heat), cozy living areas, and outdoor porch areas with fire pits. - P Concierge Services: As "locals with extensive knowledge about the area," Village Camp offers "best adventure recommendations," guiding guests to hidden gems and unforgettable experiences.
It is important to note that while amenities are generally excellent, one review mentioned the absence of a hot tub, which some ski enthusiasts might appreciate. There were also isolated comments about a "soft beeping noise" and loud fans in the cabin-homes, suggesting minor issues that may arise with use, but overall, the facilities are highly rated for cleanliness and modern design. The staff is consistently described as "friendly and accommodating" and "responsive."

The "turnkey experience" for cabin rentals means guests only need to bring their food, beverages, and "adventurous spirit." The campground also offers discounts, such as a 10% Good Sam discount and a 15% Military discount for stays less than 6 nights, and encourages signing up for newsletters for flash sales.

Village Camp Truckee Reviews
Enjoyed our short stay in our trailer. Functioning hook ups. Club house and gym very nice. A hot tub would be so welcoming for those who like to stay and ski. Will definitely be coming back this winter season!Very reasonable cost too!
Feb 26, 2025 · Sara CEnjoyed our stay (2 adults, 2 kids) in one of the cabin trailer-homes. They are well designed, clean and have everything you need for a short stay. Kids had fun with the loft, playing outdoors on the snow with other neighbor kids, and there's even a new playground near a stream. Only downside was a soft beeping noise that went on and off all night. Also, make sure to turn off the fans before going to sleep as they can be loud. Things will eventually start to break down with use, so we'll see how well they do maintenance over the years, but for now it's highly recommended for what it is.
Mar 25, 2025 · Alberto TrettiThis place was wonderful. When we walked in, everything was spotless, very clean and organized, everything ready to go. Our kids 3,5 and 6 loved having the upstairs area for themselves and is just such a beautiful and modern cabin. We will be back for sure!
Mar 23, 2025 · Rocio PCute little container home. It was perfect for our family of 4. The kitchen was fully stocked. Everything looked new. The upper loft has a very low ceiling so be careful.Loved the heated bathroom floors. Shampoo, conditioner and body soap is provided. Beds were comfy. The heater worked well.Cute fire-pit out front. The clubhouse was big and fitness room was adequate. Easy check in and check out. 15 minutes to soda springs and super close to downtown Truckee. Great location! Highly recommended!
