The environment surrounding Lake George Camping Village benefits from its location near the stunning Lake George. Known as the "Queen of American Lakes," Lake George offers breathtaking views, crystal-clear waters, and a variety of recreational activities. The region is characterized by the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains, providing a backdrop of lush forests and rolling terrain. Campers can expect a setting that combines the tranquility of nature with the accessibility to the vibrant atmosphere and attractions of the Lake George area. This proximity allows for a diverse camping experience, where one can enjoy the peace of the outdoors while still having convenient access to dining, entertainment, and shopping options around the lake.
Based on available information, Lake George Camping Village provides services and amenities typical of campgrounds catering to both tent and RV campers. One customer review highlights that the campground is "quiet, very wooded and well maintained," suggesting a focus on preserving the natural environment and providing a clean and orderly space for guests. The review also mentions that "the sites are mostly large and private," which is a significant feature for campers seeking a degree of seclusion and space. Furthermore, the availability of "full hook up" sites at a "extremely reasonable" price is noted, indicating that the campground caters to RV travelers looking for water, electric, and sewer connections. While one review mentioned the absence of planned activities at the time of their visit but noted that they were "working on that," it suggests that the campground may be evolving its offerings to include more organized events for guests.
Features of Lake George Camping Village, as gleaned from the limited information and customer reviews, include spacious and private campsites, which enhance the feeling of being immersed in nature. The availability of full hook-up sites is a significant feature for RV owners, providing the necessary utilities for a comfortable stay. The friendly and pleasant demeanor of "Kathleen in the office," as mentioned in one review, indicates a positive aspect of the customer service at the campground.
However, it is crucial to consider all available feedback when evaluating Lake George Camping Village. One review details a "worst experience" even before check-in, citing rude and disrespectful behavior from a manager over the phone. This negative experience included allegations of fabricated campsite cancellation and refusal of a refund. The reviewer also mentioned looking at other reviews that echoed concerns about the behavior of the people working there. This feedback highlights a potential issue with customer service that prospective local users should be aware of and perhaps consider when making their booking decisions.

Lake George Camping Village Reviews
Worst experience and I haven’t even check in yet! I have my reservation for July. I called because I received an email I had questions about and was on the phone with the manager whom was so rude and disrespectful. She was so aggressive over the phone and wasn’t helpful at all. She even lied about one of my campsite reservations being canceled. I made 2 reservations for a campsite online, I received the confirmation and had the money taken out of my account. I had no email stating one of my reservations were canceled nor did I ever cancel. She was just making up lies to justify her behavior. Me and my family don’t even want to go to this campsite anymore but they won’t refund us our money. So we aren’t looking forward to going especially after this experience and looking at all the reviews in how horrible the people working there are. DO NOT BOOK A RESERVATION HERE!

We did look around a bit and noticed that the sites are mostly large and private. And the price for full hook up was extremely reasonable! The only reason I don't give it five stars is because there are no planned activities, but they are working on that! Kathleen in the office was friendly and pleasant!
Aug 19, 2024 · Kellie TNice place! The sites are large and fairly wooded, nice and level and freshly covered with stone. The staff was really friendly. The respectfully asked us to quiet down around 10:30 on night. It was completely understandable as our family tends to get loud when we all get together. The bathrooms were immaculate. The showers are private rooms which is a plus. How they could have been a bit cleaner. If you use flip flops or crocs to showers it really doesn't matter. We were here for the last week of July into August in 2024 and there were barely any mosquitoes. The location is a quick drive from the hustle and bustle of Lake George village. I would highly recommend this campground if you are looking to stay in the lake george area.
Aug 03, 2024 · Luke BielloThe camp ground itself is nice. Most of the sites are shaded and everything is graveled nicely. But that's where the good stops. The restrooms need some serious cleaning and updating as well as regular maintenance. There was no soap in the restroom for the week we stayed. The showers are old and not very clean either. The laundry at the restroom nearest our campsite was broken and we had to walk a good distance to use the laundry in another location in the grounds. The pool was advertised as heated and it was far from that. We heard several complaints about the pool temperature. Lastly, the staff is rude and very argumentative. We had low voltage issues at our site for 2 days and they never fixed anything but continued to blame my equipment even though they measured the voltage and it was low. Save your money and camp somewhere else!!!
Jul 12, 2024 · Kevin ReedWorst experience at this campground. The staff are rude and show no courtesy. Especially the short guy riding around on the gator. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. Cursed at my colleague for no reason. He was very lucky we are civil and educated otherwise things could’ve gone really bad for him. The internet sucks, the noise from the highway sucks, the lady at the front desk sucks. Don’t be fooled by there false pitch that they have limited campsites available, this place is a ghost town, nobody wants to stay here.
