Alvord Oaks RV Park Introduce
Welcome to Alvord Oaks RV Park, a local destination nestled in Alvord, Texas, catering to both short-term visitors and those seeking a longer stay. Located at 4491 US-287, Alvord, TX 76225, USA, Alvord Oaks RV Park offers a convenient and potentially secluded setting for RV enthusiasts looking for "RV parks near me." You can reach them by phone at (940) 441-5756 or their mobile number +1 940-441-5756 for inquiries and reservations.
Based on available information, Alvord Oaks RV Park presents a mixed experience. One review mentions the availability of open slots, suggesting that finding a space, even for overnight stays, might be relatively easy. The comment also highlights the park's secluded nature, which could be appealing to those seeking a quieter and more private environment away from busier areas. This aspect could be a significant draw for individuals and families looking to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy a more tranquil camping experience in their RVs.
However, it's crucial to consider all available feedback. Another review raises significant concerns regarding the condition of rental RVs and management practices. This customer recounts issues with a rented RV, including being charged for electricity not used initially, followed by the discovery of a leaking roof and substantial mold growth within the walls. The reviewer explicitly advises against renting from an individual named Gary, citing rudeness and harassment. These allegations of poor maintenance and unprofessional conduct are serious and should be taken into consideration by potential visitors, especially those considering renting an RV directly from the park.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me," Alvord Oaks RV Park offers the basic infrastructure expected of an RV park, such as hookups for water, electricity, and sewage. The presence of "lots of open slots" indicates a potentially large capacity, making it a viable option for those traveling through the area or seeking a temporary or longer-term spot for their RV. The secluded environment, as noted by one reviewer, could be a significant advantage for those prioritizing peace and quiet during their stay.
However, prospective visitors should be aware of the negative feedback regarding the condition of rental units and the alleged behavior of the management. If you are planning to bring your own RV, it would be prudent to inquire specifically about the amenities available at the individual sites, such as the amperage of electrical hookups, water pressure, and the condition of sewage connections. It would also be beneficial to ask about the overall maintenance and upkeep of the park grounds and facilities.
For those considering renting an RV at Alvord Oaks RV Park, the review highlighting severe issues like mold and lack of maintenance is a serious red flag. Black mold is a significant health hazard and indicates a potentially unsafe living environment. The reviewer also mentions issues with billing and alleged harassment, further compounding the negative experience. If renting is your intention, it would be wise to exercise extreme caution and perhaps seek alternative RV rental options in the Alvord area or explore other "RV parks near me" that have more consistently positive reviews regarding their rental units.
In summary, Alvord Oaks RV Park offers a location in Alvord, Texas, with the potential for a secluded and quiet stay, and generally seems to have availability. It might serve as a basic overnight stop for travelers with their own RVs. However, significant concerns have been raised by at least one customer regarding the condition of rental RVs, specifically mentioning mold and lack of maintenance, as well as negative interactions with management.
Local users searching for "RV parks near me" should weigh the potential benefits of the park's location and seclusion against the serious allegations made in the customer review. It is recommended to contact Alvord Oaks RV Park directly using the provided phone numbers to inquire about the current conditions, amenities for privately owned RVs, and their policies. Asking specific questions about site maintenance, utility hookups, and any recent improvements could provide a clearer picture of what to expect.
Furthermore, it would be prudent to look for more recent reviews or seek recommendations from other RVers in the local area to get a broader perspective on the park's current state. While the availability of open slots and the secluded ambiance might be appealing, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment is paramount for a positive RV park experience. If considering a longer stay or renting an RV, the negative feedback warrants careful consideration and potentially exploring alternative "RV parks near me" with more consistently positive reports.
For overnight travelers simply looking for a place to park and rest, Alvord Oaks RV Park's reported availability might be convenient. However, even for a short stay, it would be wise to inquire about the basic conditions of the sites and any essential facilities. The discrepancy in the reviews suggests a potentially inconsistent experience, making direct communication with the park management essential before making a decision.
Ultimately, when searching for "RV parks near me," local users have various factors to consider, including location, amenities, environment, and the experiences of other campers. Alvord Oaks RV Park presents a mixed profile based on the limited information available. While it might offer a secluded setting and open availability, the serious concerns raised about rental RV conditions and management interactions cannot be ignored. Potential visitors are strongly encouraged to conduct their own due diligence, ask detailed questions, and possibly seek alternative options to ensure a comfortable and safe RV park experience in the Alvord area.
Please note that this introduction is based on the limited information available on the internet, including one positive comment about seclusion and availability and one very negative review detailing significant issues with a rental RV and management. A comprehensive and objective assessment would require more information from a wider range of sources and potentially a visit to the park itself.

Alvord Oaks RV Park Reviews
My daughter and son n law were renting an RV here.. While Robert is doing his best to keep up maintaining the RVs they rent out, this is unacceptable. They were there 2 months and we should have known there was gonna be issues when charged for electric they didn’t even use right after moving.. month 2 brought them noticing the roof leaked and after moving their recliners we saw all the damage that there was. That is MOLD growing within the walls of the RV. There couldn’t have been any maintenance done as needed for years! I would not suggest renting anything from Gary. He’s rude and harassed my son n law while it work and tried to intimidate my daughter.. Btw.. this is #22 so beware. Black Mold is serious and can cause many health problems and it IS a reason to break a lease in the state of Texas.

Jun 25, 2024 · Donna EasterThey spoil you here in a good way. The manager, Garry, made booking a reservation easy. Upon arrival he called the maintenance pro, Robert, who hooked up all my lines and leveled my trailer-->Unbelievably good service. The RV park is located immediately adjacent to a highway and a large farm but the maintenance pro gives guests & park residents his tel# and tells them to call 24/7 for questions or concerns. I feel safe here.Add-Free laundry, a full size bathtub to soak in and reasonable fees.and I'd have to ask--what more could you want? ;0)
Mar 25, 2021 · Claudia ScroggsThe property was ok. The women's showers were nasty I'm told. The men's weren't clean but ok. Had very poor hot water. I don't trust the management though. I was trying to move there and didn't have a truck to pull a 5th wheel so an employee came to move it for me. He told me my trailer didn't look good enough to move to their park and proceeded to show me one that I could rent to own. But right now they have a tiny trailer that is in worse shape than mine that is owned by a church. Gary the manager told me that the church will pay for 3 months of rent to give me a chance to save some money for the down payment on the for sale trailer. After 2 weeks they gave me a bill for repairs, a forward balance that totaled close to $500!!! How is that helping me save money? How is that at all what Gary told me what was going to happen? The kicker is that I never even stayed one night in the trailer because the door won't even shut. The cabinets are falling apart . and I don't think the bed would even support me .Don't trust these people at all.
