A+ RV Park Introduce
For local RV enthusiasts and travelers seeking “RV parks near me” in the Alvord, Texas area, A+ RV Park, located at 667 E Franklin St, Alvord, TX 76225, USA, presents a camping option with mixed feedback from recent visitors. While some reviewers have highlighted positive aspects such as cleanliness and helpful owners, others have raised concerns regarding pet safety and staff availability. It is important for prospective guests to consider these varying perspectives when evaluating A+ RV Park for their camping needs. For inquiries or to learn more, you can contact them at (940) 427-9621 or their mobile number +1 940-427-9621.
The environment at A+ RV Park has received both positive and negative comments in customer reviews. One reviewer described it as a “great campground,” implying a generally satisfactory setting for camping. This positive feedback suggests that the park may offer a pleasant outdoor atmosphere for RVers. However, another reviewer used the phrase “well kept property,” but also pointed out a significant environmental concern for pet owners, noting the substantial “amount of burrs in ‘grass’ areas.” This suggests that while the property might be tidy overall, the presence of numerous burrs could pose a problem and require extra attention for those traveling with pets. The same reviewer also mentioned a “suspicious ‘tent’ tarp on the edge of the property, looks like a homeless camp,” which could be a potential safety or aesthetic concern for some guests. Despite these concerns, the reviewer did acknowledge that the property was “quiet.” Therefore, the environment at A+ RV Park appears to be a mix of maintained grounds with potential issues regarding burrs and the presence of a makeshift shelter on the periphery, while offering a generally quiet atmosphere. Prospective visitors, especially those with pets, should consider these contrasting points.
Services at A+ RV Park appear to include some notable amenities. One positive aspect highlighted by a reviewer is the “clean shower house with men’s and women’s separate laundry which is free.” The availability of a clean shower house is a significant convenience for RV travelers, and the added benefit of free laundry facilities is a considerable advantage, especially for longer stays. This suggests that the park management prioritizes the provision of clean and cost-effective essential services for their guests. However, another reviewer reported a lack of immediate staff availability upon arrival, stating, “There was NO staff to give wifi password or other info.” This indicates potential inconsistencies in staffing or check-in procedures, which could lead to delays in accessing necessary information or assistance. While the park may offer essential hookups such as water, electricity, and sewer, these are not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. The focus on the clean shower house and free laundry suggests an effort to provide valuable amenities, but the reported lack of immediate staff could be a point of concern for some travelers seeking prompt service and information upon arrival. It is advisable to inquire about the availability of staff and the specifics of hookups when contacting the park.
Features of A+ RV Park mentioned in the reviews include a “clean shower house” with separate facilities for men and women, and “free” laundry services, which are significant benefits for guests. The positive mention of “owners” being “very nice and helpful” suggests that the park management is generally well-regarded and willing to assist guests, which can contribute positively to the overall experience. The reviewer who had a less favorable experience noted that “It was quiet,” which could be a desirable feature for those seeking a peaceful camping environment. They also mentioned that “Their empty building also looked new from the outside,” although the relevance of this observation to the guest experience is unclear. Conversely, the significant negative feature highlighted was the presence of numerous burrs in the grassy areas, posing a potential hazard for pets. The observation of a “suspicious ‘tent’ tarp” resembling a homeless camp on the edge of the property could also be considered a negative feature from a safety or aesthetic perspective. Finally, the comment about “a lot of empty lots but the people coming and going were limited to three sites on top of each other” is an interesting observation about the park's occupancy and layout, although its direct impact on the guest experience might vary. Prospective guests should weigh the positive features like cleanliness and free laundry against the potential drawbacks related to burrs, perceived lack of immediate staff, and the presence of the makeshift shelter.
No specific promotional information or discounts for A+ RV Park are mentioned in the provided reviews. The positive feedback regarding the clean facilities and helpful owners could be considered an indirect form of positive promotion. However, there are no mentions of any special rates, seasonal offers, or discounts for long-term stays. To obtain information about pricing, availability, and any current promotions, it is essential to contact the park management directly using the provided phone numbers. Inquiring about potential discounts for longer stays or any other special offers could be beneficial when planning your visit. Additionally, given the mixed feedback regarding pet safety due to burrs, it would be prudent to ask about any measures the park takes to address this issue or if there are specific areas designated for pets to avoid these hazards. Direct communication with the park can provide the most current and accurate information regarding pricing and any ongoing promotions.
In conclusion, for local RV travelers searching for “RV parks near me” in Alvord, Texas, A+ RV Park offers a campground with some notable advantages, such as a clean shower house and free laundry facilities, along with owners described as nice and helpful. However, potential drawbacks include the presence of numerous burrs in the grassy areas, which could be problematic for pets, and a reported instance of no staff being immediately available for check-in. The environment is described as quiet, but the presence of a suspicious makeshift shelter on the property's edge might be a concern for some. As there is no promotional information available in the reviews, prospective guests should contact A+ RV Park directly at (940) 427-9621 or +1 940-427-9621 to inquire about current rates, availability, pet policies, and any measures taken to address the concerns raised in the reviews to make an informed decision about their stay.

A+ RV Park Reviews
Great campground. Clean shower house with men’s and women’s seperate laundry which is free. Owners are very nice and helpful.
Apr 07, 2025 · Michelle PorchB- RV Park might be more appropriate. There was NO staff to give wifi password or other info, check photos for the amount of burrs in "grass" areas. BEWARE if you have pets, we spent most of our time de-burring the dogs. There is also a suspicious "tent" tarp on the edge of the property, looks like a homeless camp. The last thing is there were a lot of empty lots but the people coming and going were limited to three sites on top of each other. 😔 It was quiet and well kept property. Their empty building also looked new from the outside.
Aug 06, 2023 · Junior Eitel (Junior)It is a simple place, family owned and operated. Really nice family by the way. It has an outdoor picnic area, bathroom, shower, laundry, office with an indoor seating area that includes pub tables and chairs. The bathrooms have a combination lock. When you unlock the door you first step into the laundry room (not coin operated by the way, yes, free) then go into the shower/bathroom. Shower is roomy with a bench built in and has a curtain. The toilet is in its own little cubby beside the shower. The rest of the room has a bench about 6 feet long. So there is a lot of room to put your stuff and it not get wet while showering. Women's side is identical with its own laundry and all. Aside from needing to fill in some holes in the road that fill with water when it rains I give a solid 4 stars.
May 02, 2023 · Randall BowmanVery clean. They have a nice bathroom, shower, and laundry area. The spots were pull through with full hookups. The spot was big enough we could leave our truck attached for the night. They have a cute little pavilion for people to eat and relax at.
