Avalon (GA) Introduce
When searching for "RV parks near me" in Macon, Georgia, Avalon (GA), located at 2621 Jeffersonville Rd, Macon, GA 31217, USA, is a mobile home park that might be considered for long-term RV stays. The contact phone numbers provided are (478) 219-9472 and mobile +1 478-219-9472. To understand the environment, services, and features of Avalon (GA), it is crucial to analyze the available customer reviews, which present a somewhat mixed perspective, particularly concerning management and the overall community experience.
Avalon (GA) is situated on Jeffersonville Road in Macon, Georgia. For individuals seeking "RV parks near me" in this part of the city, the address provides a geographical reference point. Potential residents can use online mapping tools to assess its proximity to local amenities, services, and transportation options, which are important considerations for both short-term and extended stays.
The customer reviews for Avalon (GA) offer contrasting viewpoints. One reviewer describes the park as a "nice place to live" and "Quiet too." This suggests that the environment within Avalon (GA) may be peaceful and pleasant for residents, which is a significant positive for those seeking a tranquil living space among "RV parks near me."
However, the other, more extensive review raises significant concerns, primarily related to the management and the handling of contractors working on the property. This reviewer's experience does not directly reflect the perspective of a resident but rather a subcontractor who performed work at Avalon (GA). Nevertheless, their observations could indirectly indicate aspects of the management style and the overall operational environment of the community, which might be relevant for potential long-term residents, including RVers.
This detailed review alleges that the management, particularly a contractor named Thomas from North Carolina, does not value different perspectives when issues arise. The reviewer claims that Thomas hires numerous subcontractors in Georgia and does not take his responsibilities seriously. The subcontractor states they worked extensively, including weekends, unlike other subcontractors, but experienced issues with payment. They allege that Thomas would create reasons to avoid payment, running them "in circles" and setting them up for failure.
The reviewer further claims that two employees working under Thomas exhibited poor leadership, sabotaging subcontractors and being overly critical of their work, leading to never-ending tasks in their eyes. They assert having substantial evidence in the form of messages to support these claims and to refute any contradictory statements from Thomas. The subcontractor also alleges that these two employees passed their own substandard work as finished.
A serious accusation is made regarding cutting corners on work, with the reviewer claiming to have messages proving that when negative results occurred due to these shortcuts, Thomas would blame the workers and terminate them near the completion of the job, withholding payment. The reviewer also mentions attempting to contact the office by telephone for two days without a response, suggesting potential issues with communication.
Interestingly, the subcontractor offers a positive perspective on the "new manager," describing her as "very respectful and patient." They note that she complimented their work and provided constructive feedback without the endless revisions allegedly characteristic of Thomas's management. The reviewer believes that this new manager would likely disagree with Thomas's business practices if she were aware of the evidence they possess.
The subcontractor also claims that Thomas misrepresented information to managers at other properties where the subcontractor had worked. Ultimately, the reviewer states being owed a significant sum of money for work done at Avalon (GA) and another park and threatens to file a lien if not acknowledged.
The reviewer concludes by emphasizing the importance of considering all sides of a story and criticizes what they perceive as poor management that favors those who do not contribute while neglecting those doing the actual work. They also mention Thomas's alleged unresponsiveness and his tendency to create problems with decisions made independently to keep work progressing, using these as reasons for non-payment.
While this detailed review primarily concerns a subcontractor's experience, it could indirectly suggest potential issues with the overall management style, communication practices, and the work environment at Avalon (GA). For potential long-term residents, including RVers, these aspects can influence the quality of their living experience, particularly regarding the responsiveness of management to resident concerns and the upkeep of the property.
The contrasting positive comment about the quiet environment and the respectful new manager offers a glimmer of hope for a positive living experience at Avalon (GA). However, the serious allegations made by the subcontractor regarding the contractor overseeing work on the property warrant careful consideration. Potential residents might want to inquire about the current management structure and the roles of individuals like Thomas in the community's operations.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" and considering Avalon (GA), it would be prudent to contact the park directly to inquire about their accommodation options for RVs, the amenities available, the community environment, and the current management policies. Asking specific questions related to maintenance, communication with management, and the overall well-being of residents might help in forming a more informed opinion.
Given the limited and somewhat conflicting information, it is difficult to provide a definitive assessment of Avalon (GA) as a suitable option for those seeking "RV parks near me." The positive comment about the quiet atmosphere is appealing, as is the mention of a respectful new manager. However, the serious allegations from the subcontractor regarding the contractor's management style and payment practices raise concerns that potential residents should be aware of and investigate further.
In conclusion, Avalon (GA) in Macon, Georgia, presents a mixed picture for those searching for "RV parks near me." While it may offer a quiet living environment and have a respectful new manager, potential residents should be aware of the serious allegations raised by a subcontractor regarding the handling of work on the property. Thorough due diligence, including direct inquiries with the park management and, if possible, conversations with current residents, is recommended to gain a clearer understanding of the community and its suitability for long-term RV stays.

Avalon (GA) Reviews
This community doesn’t care to see everyone’s point of view when an issue has came about .They hired a contractor from North Carolina to do the work on the property and doesn’t realize that the contractor Thomas is winging his way through it hiring every sub he can find in Georgia to fullfill his position that isn’t taken seriously.I have done a lot of work for Thomas and didn’t take days off not even on the weekends as every other sub he hired did .He runs you in circles and sets you up for failure to make a reason that isn’t a reason to not pay you .He has 2 employees that lead terribly , they are always sabotaging us as sub contractors and nick picking our work to a point that there is never a finished task in their eyes , I have tons of messages as proof and can knock any statement he throws at me for reasoning/excuse down in which I have msgs proving that as well .His 2 employees did a job together and passed their own job as finished which was by far way worse than my experienced skills and knowledge. They cut corners and when a bad result comes from their choice of cutting a corner which I have messages to prove as well they then put all the blame on the person doing the work and fire them when the job is almost finished and keeps all the money .I have contacted office by telephone the last 2 days and have not got a response .The new manager to my knowledge has always been very respectful and patient. She has always complimented the trailers I turn over as well as she is open about what she wants done better without it being a never ending process to reach as Thomas does .I think if this new manager seen the msgs and proof I have of things she wouldn’t agree with Thomas’s actions as a businessman.Thomas has stated in text messages as well that he has made it a point to get in touch with the managers to the properties I have worked on which is fine outside of the fact that he is feeding them white lies and manipulating them .Between 2 parks I’m owed over 5,500$If I’m not acknowledged I will make it a priority on this coming Monday morning to go file a Lein on both Avalon park and surburban woods for the money I’m owed .There is always 2 sides to every story and if one side is only taken into account I feel that is poor management and shows management has no care for the ones actually doing the work .But gives care and acknowledges the guy who does nothing at all , he doesn’t even answer his phone to attend to our concerns and when we make a decision on our own so that we keep the work moving he then makes a problem with the decision we choose and will not pay because of it

Jan 16, 2025 · STEVE HOWARDJust stay to yourself and no trouble will find ya. Takes a while for anything to be repaired we are talking up to a yr or more depending on severity. If it's severe it'll take longer.
Apr 09, 2024 · Leigha ObrienThe community has gone down big time which is way a lot of people are moving out of there. They are now selling homes to make money because so many people moved out at once charging prices without the community getting better
