Bandera RV Park Introduce
Are you looking for "RV parks near me" in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, specifically in the renowned "Cowboy Capital of the World," Bandera? Bandera RV Park, situated at 1425 Highway 16 North, POB 489, Bandera, TX 78003, USA, presents a unique option for both short and long-term RV stays. You can reach them at (830) 796-8153 or +1 830-796-8153 to inquire about availability and learn more about what this park has to offer.
Bandera RV Park boasts a significant advantage with its location directly in the middle of downtown Bandera. This prime positioning offers unparalleled convenience for accessing the town's attractions, shops, and restaurants, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the unique cowboy culture and vibrant atmosphere that Bandera is famous for. Imagine stepping out of your RV and being just a short walk away from local events, historic sites, and the charm of this iconic Texas town.
Adding to its appeal, Bandera RV Park is described as a "beautiful spot on the river." This suggests that guests can enjoy the serene ambiance and potentially scenic views offered by its riverside location. The presence of a river can provide opportunities for relaxation, nature appreciation, and perhaps even certain recreational activities, enhancing the overall camping experience.
Based on recent customer feedback, experiences at Bandera RV Park appear to be somewhat varied. One reviewer with a history at the park under previous management (for seven years, which they "loved") expresses significant dissatisfaction with the current owner, Scott. This review alleges rudeness, including yelling at elderly individuals and abrupt evictions without notice. This past positive experience under different management highlights the inherent potential of the location and its amenities.
In contrast, another recent review offers a more positive perspective, describing the current owner, Scott, as "very kind and attentive to any problems" that guests might encounter. This reviewer also echoes the sentiment that the location is "great" due to its central position in downtown Bandera, making it suitable for both short and long-term stays.
It is important for prospective guests to consider both of these recent perspectives when evaluating Bandera RV Park. The stark contrast in experiences suggests that individual interactions and expectations might play a significant role in the overall satisfaction of a stay. The mention of a change in ownership is a crucial factor to note, as it can often lead to shifts in management style and park policies.
While the reviews provide insights into the management and location, specific details regarding the park's amenities and services are somewhat limited in the provided information. Typically, RV parks offer essential hookups such as water, electricity, and sewer at their sites. It would be prudent for potential visitors to inquire directly with Bandera RV Park about the availability and specifics of these services, as well as any other amenities they might be seeking, such as laundry facilities, restrooms, showers, Wi-Fi access, or recreational areas.
The positive mention of a "drive thru store" located at the park, which is reportedly owned by "the nicest people you ever want to meet" and offers "great service," is a noteworthy feature. This on-site convenience could be a significant benefit for guests, providing easy access to essential supplies, snacks, and perhaps even local information or recommendations, all delivered with exceptional customer service.
Given the riverfront location, it would be reasonable to inquire about any specific features related to the river, such as access points, potential for fishing or other water-related activities, and any associated regulations or safety guidelines. Understanding the extent to which guests can enjoy the river could be a key factor for those seeking a more nature-oriented RV experience.
For those considering a long-term stay, the central downtown location could be particularly appealing, offering a unique lifestyle with easy access to local conveniences and the pulse of the Bandera community. However, it would be wise to discuss long-term rates, policies, and any specific considerations with the park management directly.
In conclusion, Bandera RV Park presents a compelling option for those searching for "RV parks near me" in Bandera, Texas, primarily due to its exceptional location in the heart of downtown and its beautiful setting on the river. While recent customer reviews offer contrasting experiences regarding the current management, the park's inherent advantages in terms of location and potential riverside appeal remain significant. Prospective guests are encouraged to contact Bandera RV Park directly at (830) 796-8153 or +1 830-796-8153 to gather detailed information about current amenities, services, policies, and to form their own informed decision based on their individual needs and preferences.

Jan 30, 2025 · cathy markmanThere is no other place I would park my RV in Bandera than Bandera RV Park! This is my 2nd long-term visit and I will be back this spring! Excellent location right down from everything on Main Street. The owners Scott and Debra are amazing, friendly and helpful. Debra’s horses add to the charm of the park. The river is gorgeous even in a drought! Tons of shade trees, quite area with friendly neighbors. The pavilion with fireplace is great.Onsite laundry and restrooms are clean and convenient. The drive-through Beverage Barn is awesome as well.If you’re looking for a month or longer stay (adults-only) RV Park, I highly recommended Bandera RV Park.Thank you Scott and Debra for making me feel at home.
Dec 19, 2023 · Summer BellWe have been staying here since December and love it! Our neighbors are social and pleasant. The owners have gone above and beyond. The helped us level our rig when we arrived, made us a quick outside patio, took us to local picking circle and even worked on our motorcycle. The park is a rustic setting shaded by pecan trees, complete with horse corrals and passing deer in the evening. The restrooms are clean, the internet screaming fast, and the laundry facility has new clean washers and dryers. The nearby Medina river is beautiful and relaxing to kayak or to take a quick swim in. We had an amazing experience here and made some amazing friends. We are planning to snowbird here again next year. We can not thank Debra and Scott enough for our wonderful stay.
