According to a recent visitor, some sites are large enough that you may not even need to unhook your tow vehicle, adding to the convenience of your stay. This is particularly beneficial for travelers making their way through the region and preferring a quick and easy setup.
One of the standout features highlighted by guests is the cleanliness of the facilities. The bathhouse is reported to be "super clean," and the showers are noted for being large with excellent water pressure. These are essential aspects for any RV park, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic experience for all visitors. Knowing that you have access to well-maintained and clean restroom and shower facilities can significantly enhance your overall camping experience.
For those who enjoy waterfront access, Bar Harbor RV Park and Marina boasts an easy walk to the beach. This proximity to the water offers opportunities for relaxation, leisurely strolls along the shore, and perhaps even some water-based activities depending on the specific amenities offered by the marina aspect of the park. The combination of RV camping and beach access makes this park an attractive option for families and individuals alike.
Convenience is also a key aspect of Bar Harbor RV Park and Marina. A welcoming and helpful staff can make a significant difference in the quality of your stay, providing assistance and creating a positive atmosphere throughout the park. The positive feedback regarding the staff suggests that visitors can expect a pleasant and hospitable experience.
Despite its size, the park is noted for being "very quiet at night," which is a significant advantage for those seeking a peaceful and restful environment. After a day of travel or activities, being able to relax in a quiet setting is highly valued by RVers. This suggests that Bar Harbor RV Park and Marina strikes a good balance between offering ample space and maintaining a tranquil atmosphere during the evening hours.
However, it's important to consider all feedback when making a decision. One recent review highlighted some areas that potential visitors should be aware of. This guest, who had a positive experience in the previous year, noted issues with their pull-through site during a subsequent visit. Specifically, they mentioned a patch of grass covered in a significant amount of dog feces upon arrival, requiring them to clean it themselves. This raises a point about site maintenance and the importance of ensuring each site is clean and ready for new arrivals.
The same reviewer also pointed out a maintenance issue with the 30 Amp plug, which was broken. They had to use duct tape to keep their electrical connection secure. This feedback suggests that while the park generally receives positive comments, there might be inconsistencies in site preparation and maintenance that potential guests should keep in mind. It's always advisable to double-check your site upon arrival and report any issues promptly.

Bar Harbor RV Park and Marina Reviews
We stayed in our RV with tow. Our spot was large enough that we did not have to unhook the tow. The bath house was super clean and the showers were large with great water pressure. Easy walk to the beach. Great store and really friendly staff. I can’t wait to go back. It’s a large park but very quiet at night.
May 01, 2025 · Dawn and Mike MannWe had stayed here last year...was great! HoWEVER....this year, we stayed while traveling to Maine and the pull through site had a small patch of grass which was covered in dog feces. We had to take bags and pick up the site so we or our dog wouldn't walk through it. I don't mean two or three poops....there was a LOT! Additionally, the 30 Amp plug was broken off at the top and I had to put duct tape across the plug for it to stay in. I was a bit disappointed....you would think the sites would be checked and cleaned before the next RV'er checked in. Prob will not stay here again in our travels.
Apr 26, 2025 · Shawn GoddardThe campground was clean. The site was roomy. The staff was very pleasant. The bathhouse is updated. We loved our stay.
Apr 28, 2025 · Carrie HerndonSo we knew rain was forecasted and saw something about flooding. Guy on phone said oh we keep an eye on that it’s the wind. Wrong. Except for where the travel trailer was parked and the cement pad next to it flooded ! Second felt like I was in a trailer park, zero things to do other then look at water . It was so bad we left !!!! Take my advice don’t stay here at all. We actually left after just the first night to another campground that was awsome!
Apr 14, 2025 · J RWords could never express the fun & beauty of being at Bar Harbor. We live 20 miles away but try our best to get here every chance we can. You have fishing, boating, kayaking, swimming, or just relaxing. The best part is how the campground is run, from maintenance to owners always ready to help, very clean🤩
