Baraboo RV Resort By Rjourney Introduce
For those seeking an outdoor adventure in the heart of Wisconsin, particularly when searching "RV Parks Near Me," Baraboo RV Resort By Rjourney presents itself as a notable option. Located at E10545 Terrytown Rd, Baraboo, WI 53913, USA, this resort offers a retreat into nature while remaining conveniently close to local attractions. You can reach them at (608) 716-4993 or +1 608-716-4993.
One of the standout features of Baraboo RV Resort, as highlighted by a former seasonal camper, is its natural environment. Unlike many RV parks that offer paved slabs in open fields, this resort boasts a layout that evokes the feeling of a state park, with ample trees surrounding the sites. This provides a more secluded and immersed-in-nature experience, allowing campers to feel truly "out in the country." Despite its serene, rural setting, the resort maintains excellent proximity to the charming town of Baraboo. Within a mere 10 minutes, guests have access to essential amenities like grocery stores, hardware stores, and a variety of restaurants. The Baraboo community itself is vibrant, hosting numerous events throughout the year in its downtown square, adding a local flavor to your stay.
Baraboo RV Resort by Rjourney strives to provide a comprehensive range of services and amenities to ensure a comfortable and entertaining stay for all guests. The park offers a variety of lodging options, including shaded full hook-up RV sites (with 20, 30, and 50-amp options), pull-thru sites, secluded tent sites, and pop-up sites. For those looking for a different experience, the resort also provides various cabin rentals, ranging from basic to deluxe and beach cabins, some even featuring lofts. Many cabins are equipped with private bathrooms, kitchenettes, patios with grills and fire pits, and some are even pet-friendly.
Key amenities designed for guest convenience include modern, clean bathrooms and showers, an on-site convenience store for forgotten camping supplies, toiletries, snacks, and even essential camping gear. There's also a laundry room with high-quality washers and dryers, a dump station for RVs, and propane refilling services. Wi-Fi is available, though it may incur an additional fee, with pricing plans varying to suit individual needs.
Recreational offerings are a significant draw at Baraboo RV Resort. A highlight for many is the swimming pond, which features inflatables for both kids and adults, offering a unique water play experience. There's also a heated swimming pool. For active guests, the resort provides mini-golf, a jumping pillow, sand volleyball, and a skate park. A Snack Shack is on-site, offering American cuisine in a family-friendly atmosphere. An arcade/game room is available for indoor entertainment, and a clubhouse offers a comfortable space to relax, with seating, snacks, a kitchen, free Wi-Fi, and televisions.
The resort’s focus on family-friendly entertainment is a core feature. The combination of an aqua park with inflatables in the swimming pond and a heated pool caters to water-loving guests. The variety of site types and cabin rentals means that individuals, couples, and larger families or groups can find suitable accommodations. The resort's strategic location is another major feature. It is just minutes away from the Wisconsin Dells, often referred to as the "Waterpark Capital of the World," offering a plethora of indoor waterparks and other attractions like ax throwing and ziplining. Additionally, Baraboo RV Resort is a short drive from natural wonders such as Devil's Lake State Park, known for its hiking trails and stunning scenery, and the Circus World Museum, providing a unique historical experience.
Baraboo RV Resort by Rjourney, like many resorts, offers various promotions and deals. These can include discounts for military personnel and first responders, as well as seasonal offers like "Buy 2 Nights, Get 1 Free" on specific stay durations and dates. Guests looking to save can inquire about these deals, which are often applicable to RV sites, cabins, and tent sites. They also offer year-round weekly stay savings and extended stay rates for longer visits of 30+ nights, making it a viable option for those planning extended vacations or even seasonal stays. The resort also plans themed weekends and events throughout the season, such as Memorial Weekend activities, Father's Weekend celebrations, Medieval Times themes, and even Halloween Glow-Tyme events, adding to the entertainment value.
However, it's important to acknowledge some points of feedback from previous guests. Some reviews indicate that while the natural setting and proximity to attractions are excellent, maintenance on certain amenities, such as the pool and mini-golf course, has been cited as needing improvement, with reports of dirty pool water, missing tiles, and broken lounge chairs. Similarly, some guests have experienced issues with the mini-golf course being in disrepair. There have also been mentions of occasional challenges with customer service and booking, particularly concerning communication with the corporate entity, Rjourney. Instances of overbooking and difficulties resolving billing issues have been noted by some past campers. While the on-site management strives to assist, some decisions require corporate approval, which can lead to delays in resolution. Cell service and Wi-Fi can also be inconsistent in some areas of the park. It is always recommended to check current reviews and communicate directly with the resort for the most up-to-date information and to address any specific concerns before booking.
Despite these considerations, for those seeking a convenient base to explore the Baraboo and Wisconsin Dells area, with a preference for a more natural, wooded camping experience and a variety of on-site activities, Baraboo RV Resort By Rjourney offers a compelling option.

Baraboo RV Resort By Rjourney Reviews
As a now former Seasonal camper (3 seasons) at Baraboo I have to say the location, size and layout of campground is amazing. Sites feel like you are in a State park, with trees all around, instead of a concrete slab and table in the middle of a field.Location outside of the amazing little town of Baraboo is ideal. You are out in the country, but within 10 minutes you have all the grocery stores/hardware stores/and amazing restaurants. The community has many events throughout the year in their downtown square. The campground amenities though are old and tired and need sprucing up. The pool which should be the gem is always dirty with sand, hair, and bandaids floating. Tiles are missing in places, every single lounge chair is cracked or broken and the chlorine levels are never quite right. The mini golf course is ripped up and should have been pulled years ago. Personally never went in the pond, not my thing. My biggest issue though and the only reason we left was Rjourney corporate and their complete lack of customer care. Also, constantly overbooking overnight campers and allowing 10+ people on sites that were to be a max of 6. The site manager could not make a decision without checking with corporate. If you tried to contact corporate you are only able to call the reservation line, there is no follow up, there is no customer service to be had. You are told they will take your issue up the chain, but never a phone call, or email returned. I had left 15+ messages and several emails with never a reply. No matter what the reason of your call, it stops at the reservation desk. Constant issues with billing, fees being added and just lack of respect for their paying customer is what finally pushed us out of an ideal campsite that we had put hundreds of dollars into improving in the 3 seasons we were there.Rjourney do better!
May 04, 2025 · Carrie OllisI've been taking my kids to this campground for almost 10 years...it's about 15 minutes outside of the dells. It was such a good campground in the past but the maintenance and the service had really gone down hill. We found a leech in the lake as well on this trip. They had the bathrooms closed to sanitize the floors for 2 hours from 9pm to 11pm on their busiest weekend but then the toilet paper and soap dispensers didn't get restocked. The smoke detector in our cabin was dead and the air conditioner froze up after being on for just an hour. My family came with this summer and we had 4 cabins between us but they will never visit again because of their experience this last weekend. It was such a nice place.
Jul 08, 2024 · msampred 2This is a party campground. We stayed a few nights including a weekend so we expected a bit of noise, but it was a VERY noisy campground with loud music after midnight, golf cart parades, lots of kids and generally a party atmosphere. I guess that's kinda expected near Wisconsin Dells, but it's actually not right next door to town. It's a pretty decent drive to the highway and about 20 minute drive into town.$44 weekday nights, $50 weekend nights for a full hookup site.Cell signal (both AT&T and Verizon) were both pretty weak. Good enough to do emails and some basic work, but don't plan on streaming. Our site #77 was buried in the trees which was nice because we stayed through a heat wave. It was near the front so easy in/out access. The amenities are all older but everything is still nice. Mini golf, basketball court, giant jumping pillow, dunk tank, swimming pond with inflatable trampoline, and the shower house was good enough to rinse off the kids when they were dirty with sand.
Aug 18, 2024 · So WickesitedThis was a great place to stay. Close to Walmart which was very helpful . If I would have known that wouldn't have brought a lot of stuff I didn't need to travel with. The park and workers were amazing so friendly. And. SOOOO many things to go. And actives galore . It was busy but quiet. So relaxing. Thank you for the wonderful time. Will definitely come back and try another cabin. Loved it. And they have a kinda restaurant with pizza chicken wings fries. Things like that at a great price. And a store with things if you need something also... very satisfied..
Sep 02, 2024 · Tracy NelsonFirst off, I wish I could give this a 0 start rating. This “resort” is filthy, disgusting, and not well managed. My family and I were just there for the Fourth of July weekend. My family stayed in a cabin, my sister in laws family stayed in a cabin, and my cousins family in another cabin. The cabins are awful, uncomfortable, and not cleaned. My sister in laws cabin, cabin 29, the roof leaked not once but twice for two nights in a row. Her son woke up in a puddle of water both nights. Then the cabin my cousins stayed, it was never cleaned after the last guest. There was food on the bunks, garbage on the top bunks, the garbage wasn’t taken out. Then my cabin looked like a sand box, the toilet didn’t want to flush half of the time, utensils were missing, and we saw light from the outside in cracks from the wall. I will never ever go here again. We talked to the “manager” but they didn’t care and they were hardly there. They didn’t believe us about the roof leaking so we showed them a video. Then when they were “fixing” my sister in laws cabin, the maintenance men had to go inside the cabin to try and fix it… but the management never told my sister in law they were in their cabin! The only reason we knew is because the cousins saw them walk in! Very unprofessional!!!! Also, my father in law was in a campsite right across from the cabins and they were there a day before all of us… no one was in the cabins the day before so someone could’ve come in and cleaned them. Then the second day, they gave away our golf cart? We paid for a golf cart months in advance. All in all… stay away. The cabins are $280 dollars to stay in and it’s such a scam. We will be staying in an Airbnb next time, and telling everyone we know to not go here, ever!!!
