Bay View RV Park, LLC Introduce
For local users seeking "RV parks near me" in the Port Lavaca, Texas area, Bay View RV Park, LLC, located at 2502 FM1090, Port Lavaca, TX 77979, USA, presents a mixed picture based on recent customer reviews. While offering some appealing features and responsive management, potential guests should also be aware of certain drawbacks mentioned by those who have stayed at the park. You can contact Bay View RV Park at (361) 894-9340 or +1 361-894-9340 for inquiries and reservations.
One of the positive aspects highlighted by a recent visitor was the friendly phone reservation process. Upon arrival, they were set up on a graveled site. While they initially encountered an electrical issue, the park promptly addressed it by having an electrician repair it within the hour. This indicates a degree of responsiveness to immediate problems, even though the office was closed and staff were only reachable by phone during their stay. This guest also noted the presence of a laundry room, although they did not mention shower facilities.
However, this same reviewer also pointed out some less favorable aspects. They observed trash embedded in their gravel site, which they felt compelled to clean up themselves. Additionally, they noted that the RV park is situated on a "highly trafficked road," resulting in significant noise from commercial trucks and cars, which they described as using it like a "speed strip." Their observation was that a majority of the customers appeared to be workers at a local plant. They also mentioned loose dogs roaming the neighborhood outside the park. On a positive note, they found the park to be close to town.
Another more detailed review provided a balanced perspective, starting with the positives. This guest found the park to be "quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the town," which contradicts the previous reviewer's experience regarding road noise, suggesting that the perception of noise levels might vary depending on the site location within the park or the time of stay. They praised the owner and the park manager for being "quick to respond to calls and texts" and for being "cordial and helpful when contacted." The park offers "full hookup with 50 amp in all back in sites" which were described as "pretty spacious and easy to pull into." The park roads were also noted as "roomy and easy to maneuver," making it convenient for larger RVs.
For waste disposal, there are "a couple dumpsters at the entrance." The park also features a "brand new office that offers a laundry facility with four washers at $1.50 per cycle and three dryers at $1.00 per cycle," although the reviewer did not use these facilities and could not comment on their efficiency or cycle times. The office also purportedly houses a "game room" and a "park store," although the reviewer did not gain access to confirm the store's offerings. A "pond in the middle of the park" is mentioned, which the website claims is stocked with fish, but this could not be verified as the reviewer does not fish.
The second review then detailed several negative aspects, starting with the claim that "the website is misleading as it portrays the park when it was first opened and that is not the reality we experienced." This suggests a potential discrepancy between the advertised state of the park and its current condition. The reviewer described the sites as "unkempt...weeds and grass over the gravel," which they personally didn't find to be a major issue. However, they did observe "a trash can in the pond and a few items of trash in the park." Some of the trailers were described as "worn and cluttered...an eyesore." Similar to the first review, this guest also reported seeing "a large unleashed dog ran by itself daily and another on occasion," raising potential concerns about pet control and safety for other guests.
A significant issue for this reviewer was the lack of access to the office, which was "locked our entire stay." While the laundry room door was open without needing a code, they did not attempt to access the game room. Notably, they chose not to hook up to the park water due to a town boil order that they learned about from a restaurant server, not from the park management directly. They were only notified by the park after they themselves inquired about it. This lack of proactive communication regarding a public health concern led them to leave prior to their scheduled departure date. They did contact the owner about their early departure, who was again reported as being cordial.
Considering these two reviews, local users searching for "RV parks near me" should weigh the pros and cons of Bay View RV Park. The responsive management (at least via phone and text), full hookups, spacious sites, laundry facilities, and the presence of a fishing pond are potential positives. However, the reported issues of road noise, unkempt sites, trash, loose dogs, lack of on-site staff and office access, and potential discrepancies between the advertised and actual condition of the park are significant drawbacks to consider. The failure to promptly notify guests about a town boil water order is particularly concerning.
While Bay View RV Park offers essential amenities like full hookups and laundry, and the management seems responsive remotely, the on-site environment appears to have some shortcomings. The noise from the nearby road could be a major issue for those seeking a peaceful stay. The upkeep of the sites and the presence of trash and loose dogs might detract from the overall experience. The limited on-site staff presence and lack of office access could also be inconvenient. The potential inaccuracies in the website's portrayal of the park are also something to be mindful of.
For local users looking for "RV parks near me" in Port Lavaca, Bay View RV Park, LLC offers a functional base with full hookups and laundry. However, it is crucial to be aware of the potential for noise, site conditions, and limited on-site support based on recent guest experiences. If a quiet and meticulously maintained environment with readily available on-site staff is a priority, you might want to consider other options. However, if you value spacious sites, full hookups, and responsive remote management, and are less concerned about noise and park aesthetics, Bay View RV Park could be a viable option. It is recommended to contact the park directly at (361) 894-9340 or +1 361-894-9340 to inquire about the current conditions, policies regarding pets, and any recent improvements before making a reservation.

Bay View RV Park, LLC Reviews
Self serve RV park. Made reservations over the phone and were friendly. Arrived and had set up on graveled site only to find out the electric was not working, was offered another site but declined, so they had an electrician repair it within the hour. Office was closed and never saw any staff, but we're available by phone. They have a laundry room but no showers. Our site had trash embedded in the gravel ( I cleaned up a majority of it) so I didn't have to walk on it. RV park is on highly trafficked road making it very noisy (commercial trucks and cars using it as a speed strip). My observation is most customers are workers at the local plant. Loose dogs roaming the neighborhood. We had no other issues, close to town.
Apr 15, 2025 · Deirdre BlackshearOur stay at Bay View RV Park...first the good. It is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the town. The owner and the park manager are quick to respond to calls and texts and they are both cordial and helpful when contacted. It offers full hookup with 50 amp in all back in sites that are pretty spacious and easy to pull into; the park roads are roomy and easy to maneuver. There are a couple dumpsters at the entrance for trash and a brand new office that offers a laundry facility with four washers at $1.50 per cycle and three dryers at $1.00 per cycle (we did not use them, so we don't know efficiency and cycle times), a game room, and a park store (we think...we'll get to that shortly.) There is a pond in the middle of the park that is stocked with fish (according to the website. We do not fish, so we cannot confirm.)Now the bad (and the ugly...you decide.) The website is misleading as it portrays the park when it was first opened and that is not the reality we experienced. The sites are unkempt...weeds and grass over the gravel. Not a big deal, actually. We saw a trash can in the pond and a few items of trash in the park. Some of the trailers are worn and cluttered...an eyesore. A large unleashed dog ran by itself daily and another on occasion. We never had access to the office as it was locked our entire stay. The laundry door was open without having to use the code provided and we did not use the code provided for the game room to view it. We arrived during a cold spell and we traveled with a full tank of fresh water, so we never hooked up to the park water. And we're glad we did not. There was a town boil order that came about during our stay and we found out from a server at a restaurant and were never notified by the park until we notified them. So we decided to leave prior to our scheduled departure date (we had contacted our next park to arrive early because of this) which happened to be about the same time the boil order was lifted and our water in the tank was just about ready to be depleted. We contacted the owner on our way out to make him aware of our early departure; he was again very cordial.
Jan 21, 2024 · Theresa EStayed here while our house was getting renovations. This park has a view of the bay, an on-sight laundromat, game room and is conveniently located on the outskirts of Port Lavaca. The prices are also very reasonable.I definitely recommend this park!
Mar 27, 2024 · Dennis PeralesOne of the best RV parks, super quiet and clean. Love their laundry facility& game room. Highly recommend it, lots of fish even though it was catch & release. Also, have a 24-hour vending machine.
