Beacon RV Park Introduce
When searching for "RV parks near me" in the St. Joseph, Missouri area, it is essential to consider all available information to make an informed decision about where to stay. Beacon RV Park, located at 822 S Belt Hwy, St Joseph, MO 64507, USA, has received concerning feedback from multiple customers, which potential visitors should carefully review before considering a stay. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the park based on these publicly available reviews, highlighting the reported environment, services, and features as described by past guests.
The environment of Beacon RV Park, as portrayed by recent customer experiences, appears to be significantly problematic. One reviewer described it as "one of the worst RV campgrounds I've ever stayed at." Specific issues mentioned include being assigned a site with a prior "sewage leak," resulting in a "very muddy" ground. This individual reported slipping on the mud, which they believed contained feces, preventing them from hooking up water and thus being unable to shower. The following morning, their RV was reportedly covered in ants and flies, allegedly due to the unsanitary conditions of the lot. Another reviewer characterized the park as "run down" and the surrounding area as "terrible," further contributing to a negative perception of the environment.
The services at Beacon RV Park, based on the provided reviews, also raise considerable concerns regarding both the quality of the facilities and the responsiveness of the management. The first reviewer detailed an inability to hook up water due to the muddy and contaminated site, indicating a potential lack of site maintenance or preparedness for incoming guests. Furthermore, their attempt to address these issues with the manager was reportedly unsuccessful, with a promised call back never occurring. This suggests potential issues with customer service and follow-through from the management. The same reviewer also described the front desk staff as "completely rude" and unhelpful, indicating a lack of professionalism in guest interactions. The second reviewer corroborated the negative impression of management, describing them as "not friendly." Additionally, they reported that management would "shut off security cameras at will" and refused to provide security footage after reported thefts, raising serious concerns about the security and accountability within the park.
Features of Beacon RV Park, as implied by the negative reviews, appear to be substandard in several aspects. The first reviewer's experience points to poorly maintained sites with potential sewage issues and inadequate drainage, leading to muddy and unsanitary conditions. The second reviewer explicitly mentioned a "poor drainage system" that resulted in their SUV being flooded, further highlighting significant infrastructure problems within the park. They also noted that the "asphalt is broken up," suggesting a general state of disrepair throughout the property. The reported issues with security cameras being turned off at will indicate a potential lack of reliable security measures, which can be a significant concern for the safety and security of guests and their belongings. The lack of friendly and responsive management, as reported by both reviewers, detracts significantly from the overall experience and sense of support for guests.
Promotional information is absent from the provided data, which is understandable given the overwhelmingly negative feedback. It is highly unlikely that the park would be actively promoting its services under such conditions. In the absence of any positive attributes or promotional offers in the reviews, potential visitors are strongly advised to consider the serious concerns raised by previous guests.
The stark contrast between the negative experiences reported and the expectation of a clean and well-managed RV park is significant. The issues described are not minor inconveniences but rather fundamental problems related to site conditions, sanitation, customer service, and security. The repeated mentions of unaddressed problems and a lack of care for customer concerns should serve as a serious warning to anyone considering a stay at Beacon RV Park.
Given the severity of the issues highlighted in the reviews, including sewage leaks, unsanitary conditions, rude staff, unresponsive management, poor drainage leading to flooding, broken asphalt, and unreliable security, it would be prudent for those searching for "RV parks near me" in St. Joseph, Missouri, to exercise extreme caution when considering Beacon RV Park. The negative experiences shared by multiple reviewers suggest a pattern of neglect and poor management that could significantly impact the comfort, safety, and overall experience of future guests.
Therefore, based solely on the information available from these customer reviews, Beacon RV Park appears to be a facility that potential RV travelers should approach with significant reservations. The reported lack of cleanliness, maintenance issues, unprofessional staff, and security concerns are serious red flags. Individuals seeking a safe, clean, and well-managed RV park in the St. Joseph, Missouri area would likely find more suitable options elsewhere. It is recommended to thoroughly research other "RV parks near me" and prioritize those with consistently positive feedback regarding their environment, services, management, and security to ensure a pleasant and worry-free stay.

Beacon RV Park Reviews
One of the worst RV campgrounds I've ever stayed at.First I was given a site where there was a sewage leak the day before. The ground was very muddy. I was open-minded and attempted to hook up my RV to the water line and sewage. As I proceeded I slipped on the mud which was completely disgusting since I was aware that there was probably feces still in the muddy lot. Therefore I was not able to take a shower that night cuz I was unable to hook up the water I only had electricity. In the morning my rv was covered with ants and flies due to the feces around the lot.I tried to talk to the manager. They said they would have her call me. I was told she'd get back to me and never did.The lady at the front desk was completely rude and acted like she could really give a shit. In fact I stood there for 5 minutes while she played on her phone or writing something and didn't even acknowledge I was standing there. Please stay away from this place it's absolutely disgusting nor do they care about the customers.
May 11, 2025 · Karen BarrieIf a review has more than 1 Star, question it's authenticity. I rented a space in this run down park. The management is not friendly, they shut off security cameras at will. My neighbors and I had things stolen but when asked management for security footage, management refused. Owner lives in Utah, doesn't have a clue but he has an excuse for everything. My SUV got flooded due to poor drainage system. Asphalt is broken up. Terrible area.
Mar 29, 2025 · Taylor PresleyI felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome that after setting up I decided to pull up stakes and move on. There weren't even picnic tables available. This is the second worse campground I've been in (the worst in Nashville).I recommend going anywhere else.
May 03, 2025 · Raymond BakerIf someone comes on here bashing the RV park it's because "she's" a very bitter person, and well sorry toots the world doesn't revolve around YOU. Have the day you deserve and being bitter is messy FYIMy 5 stars stand STILL and always will, along with many others I know who have stayed! We've chosen this park for the last going on 4 years, off and on. Never once displeased.
Apr 11, 2025 · Amy LairseyWe stayed here 3 nights and enjoyed it. The price was right, the full hookups had no issues and the wifi was some of the best we have had. It is a lively park with many full time residents, but is in pretty good shape and we don't mind full timers since we are ft too. They were holding Trunk or Treat when we arrived and it was cute to see the kids all dressed up. It is centrally located with stores very close by which was a bonus. Visit the Pony Express Museum if you get a chance.
