Big Water Rv Park Introduce
If you're searching for "RV parks near me" in the Okeechobee, Florida area, Big Water RV Park, situated at 11553 US-441, Okeechobee, FL 34974, USA, presents itself as an option with a notable price point and a rural location. You can contact them at (863) 801-1776 or +1 863-801-1776 for inquiries. However, it's essential to consider the experiences shared by previous customers to form a comprehensive understanding of what this park offers.
One reviewer describes Big Water RV Park as an "Ok park" that is "Cheap, so u get what u pay for." This suggests that the park may offer budget-friendly rates, which could be appealing to travelers seeking an affordable stay. However, this affordability may come with certain trade-offs in terms of amenities, facilities, or the overall environment.
This same reviewer also mentions that "Tenants r loud & there's always some kind drama." This is a significant point for potential residents or short-term visitors who value a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. The implication of frequent disturbances and interpersonal issues could detract from the overall living experience at Big Water RV Park.
On a more positive note, the reviewer praises the manager, stating that "The Manager(sandy) is sweet lady." Positive interactions with park management can greatly enhance a resident's or visitor's experience, providing a point of contact for assistance and fostering a more welcoming environment.
Another positive aspect highlighted is the park's location: "the best part is its in the country." For those seeking a more rural setting, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, Big Water RV Park's location in the countryside of Okeechobee could be a significant advantage, offering a potentially quieter and more natural environment.
However, the second review presents serious concerns. This individual states, "I went to rent a RV in the park, paid a deposit..waited 3 days for work to be done. Nothing was done!! They kept my deposit which is illegal!! I never signed a contract with them just the background check!" This account raises significant red flags regarding the park's business practices, particularly concerning deposits and rental agreements. The implication of retaining a deposit without fulfilling the agreed-upon service or a signed contract is a serious matter for potential customers to consider.
Furthermore, this reviewer makes a strong accusation: "Don't believe the lie about the owner working for the Pentagon. He lives right here in Okeechobee!! They are SCAM ARTIST!!" These are severe allegations that prospective visitors or residents should be aware of. While it's important to note that this is a single customer's experience and opinion, such accusations should prompt careful consideration and due diligence.
Combining these two reviews paints a somewhat complex picture of Big Water RV Park. On one hand, it's described as cheap and located in a pleasant country setting, with a seemingly kind manager. On the other hand, there are concerns about noise levels, potential "drama" among tenants, and, more seriously, allegations of questionable business practices related to RV rentals and deposits.
Given the "RV parks near me" category, individuals considering Big Water RV Park for their RV needs should weigh the potential affordability and rural location against the reported issues with noise, tenant dynamics, and the serious allegations regarding rental practices. If you are looking for a quiet and well-organized RV park, the first review suggests this might not be the ideal environment.
If you are considering renting an RV from this park, the second review strongly advises caution and raises concerns about the legitimacy of their rental operations and deposit handling. It would be prudent to seek alternative RV rental options in the Okeechobee area and exercise extreme caution if considering any financial transactions with Big Water RV Park related to rentals.
For those who own their RV and are looking for a potentially long-term, affordable spot in a country setting, Big Water RV Park might still be an option to consider. However, it would be crucial to personally visit the park, speak with the manager (Sandy), and, if possible, talk to current residents to get a firsthand sense of the community atmosphere and any ongoing issues. It would also be wise to clarify all terms and conditions in writing before committing to a stay, especially regarding deposits and any potential services.
Based on the limited information, we can infer some potential features and services that Big Water RV Park might offer:
- Individual RV sites or spaces with utility hookups (electricity, water, sewer). The specifics of these hookups (e.g., amperage) are not mentioned.
- Basic infrastructure, including roadways within the park.
- On-site management, with at least one manager (Sandy) who is described as sweet.
- Potentially long-term residency options, given the mention of "tenants."
- RV rental services, although the negative review casts serious doubt on the reliability and fairness of these services.
Promotional information is not provided in the reviews. The primary potential "selling point" appears to be the affordability ("cheap") and the rural location ("in the country"). However, these potential benefits must be weighed against the reported drawbacks.
To make an informed decision about Big Water RV Park, prospective visitors or residents should:
- Contact the park directly at (863) 801-1776 or +1 863-801-1776 to inquire about their current rates, amenities, and policies, especially regarding deposits and rental agreements if you are considering renting an RV.
- Ask specific questions about noise levels, community rules, and security measures.
- Request to see the RV you would be renting (if applicable) and get all terms in writing before paying any deposit.
- If considering long-term residency, inquire about the tenant dynamics and any recurring issues within the park.
- Seek independent reviews from other sources if available to get a broader range of perspectives.
- Trust your instincts and be wary of any business practices that seem unprofessional or unethical.
In conclusion, for those searching for "RV parks near me" in Okeechobee, FL, Big Water RV Park offers a potentially cheap option in a country setting with a seemingly friendly manager. However, potential visitors and residents must be aware of the reported issues, including noise, potential tenant drama, and serious allegations regarding RV rental practices and deposit handling. Due diligence and extreme caution are advised before making any commitments or financial transactions with this park.

Jun 04, 2024 · Marti DuncanThis trailer park was so trashy that I thought I was in hell it was so unorganized and trash everywhere and bugs and roaches. I did D bug my house before I went back inside. It was bugs all over the place and trailers everywhere you’re welcome for the survey Google.
Sep 29, 2023 · Jose FelicianoI GIVE THIS PLACE -MINUS 5 STARS!!!! I wouldn't send my worst enemy here!!! This place is pure trash!!! From the owner to management to all the residence. They don't keep up with their lawn maintenance. EVERYONE in the park is either ALCOHOLICS, DRUGGIES (ALL drugs including prescription meds), THIEVES, RACIST (even to their own kind), LIERS, ABUSERS, JUST ALL AROUND TRUE SCUM!!!! SLUMLORDS is putting it nicely. If you have a problem with anything maintenance wise (sewer, electric, water, lawn) they tell you they will fix the issues but NEVER do. I had electrical problems for 4 months. I told management Mike Chism and he said I had to talk to the owner Larry. I called Larry he said he would have an electrician come out the following week and no one ever came. The kids in the park are extremely cruel and bully any kid they can and managements youngest grandson is a molester. He molested my son. Managements son Justin Chism is the biggest thief in the park and a crackhead. All of managements family lives in the park including 12 people and 3 big dogs in a 2 bed 1 bath single wide short trailer....which is also the OFFICE!!! My kids have been beaten with metal baseball bats, rocks, glass, anything the neighborhood kids can get ahold of. The kids in the park like to play with fire and caused 2 fires in the park one of which almost caught an old man's trailer on fire. They will steal anything they can and just to be spiteful they have stole 3 of my son's bikes and stabbed the tires , air tube and seat, cut the break line, and tried to take the tires and chain off after destroying the bike. The entire park is a click and if you don't fit in they will try to destroy you, your family as a whole, your home, your vehicle's (I've had my tires slashed and nails put into my tires as well as sharp pieces of glass stuck up leaning on my tires. THIS PLACE IS BY FAR THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER LIVED. There septic tank never gets pumped out so when it over flows the sewage is literally a shooting waterfall that floods the property. You have well water that they never treat and if they do its with bleach and/or chlorine or BOTH. You CANT drink the water, if you wash clothes it bleaches your clothes, taking a shower burns your eyes and the water comes out yellower then a fresh morning 5 min tinkle. They have nothing for kids to entertain themselves. They claim kids can play in the field but any time my kids did they were yelled at. Adults threaten kids. Somehow even when you STAY TO YOUR SELF AND NOT ASSOCIATE WITH ANY ONE...They still know your business. It's like they put a tap on your home and listen to everything. Okeechobee Sheriffs Department knows the park and residence by first name...THAT SAYS ALOT!!!! I'm white and my kids are mixed. They have started fights with me, my kids father, my kids and my fiance. If you move out before the first DON'T expect to be prorated out. The owner Larry will NOT respond to your calls nor text messages. This place is also INFESTED with rodents, cockroaches and termites. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE CONDEMNED!!!! BURN IT TO THE GROUND!!!! DIGUSTED!!! INFURIATED!!!
