Brookside Country Club Manufactured Home Community Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the El Monte, California area, Brookside Country Club Manufactured Home Community, located at 12700 Elliott Ave, El Monte, CA 91732, USA, is a manufactured home community that potential RV residents might consider for long-term living. You can contact them at (626) 448-6727 or +1 626-448-6727 for inquiries about their policies regarding RVs and any available spaces.
However, it is crucial to approach this community with caution, as the available customer reviews paint a concerning picture regarding management practices and the overall living experience for residents. One long-term resident explicitly advises potential newcomers to "look elsewhere" if they are considering moving in, citing several significant issues.
A primary concern raised in the review is the management's tendency to "frequently increase rent with little explanation." This lack of transparency and the potential for unpredictable increases could be a significant drawback for those seeking stable long-term RV living expenses. Budgeting can become challenging if rental costs are subject to frequent and unexplained changes.
Furthermore, the reviewer highlights significant maintenance issues within the community. They specifically mention "potholes" that remain unresolved for extended periods, often months. Even when these potholes are eventually filled, the repairs appear to be temporary, with the problems recurring in the same locations. This suggests a potential lack of investment in durable and effective infrastructure maintenance within the park. For RV owners, poorly maintained roads and pathways can lead to discomfort and potential damage to their vehicles.
Safety concerns are also raised in the review, with the mention of "stop signs and street markings" that have been "faded for years" and are seemingly ignored by management. Clear and visible traffic signage is essential for the safety of all residents and visitors, including those navigating the park in RVs. The lack of attention to these safety features is a serious issue that potential residents should consider.
The reviewer also points out a discrepancy in management's priorities, noting that while efforts are made to keep the front entrance and the appearance of individual homes looking nice for prospective renters, the common areas, such as streets and signage, are neglected. This suggests a focus on attracting new residents without adequately addressing the needs and concerns of existing ones. For those seeking a well-maintained and consistently cared-for community, this disparity could be a significant deterrent.
The issue of guest parking is also highlighted as problematic. The reviewer mentions that guest parking areas are sometimes blocked off with orange cones for "maintenance," yet despite these disruptions, no noticeable improvements seem to occur. Limited or unreliable guest parking can be inconvenient for residents who have visitors, including those who may be visiting RV residents.
The overarching sentiment of the review is that "revenue and rent increases are a priority for management" over the well-being and satisfaction of the residents. While the reviewer acknowledges that profitability is understandable for any business, they strongly advise those seeking a "welcoming and well-maintained community" to explore other options. This is a strong and direct warning from a current resident based on their experiences.
Another concerning point raised in a separate, very brief review states that "They treat their residents like second-class citizens. They're not to park outside they have a tow company on standby." This suggests a potentially strict and unforgiving parking policy for residents and their guests, with the threat of towing for violations. Such policies can create a stressful living environment and may not be conducive to the flexibility that RV owners might expect.
Considering these negative reviews, potential RV residents searching for "RV parks near me" should exercise extreme caution when considering Brookside Country Club Manufactured Home Community for long-term living. While it is located in El Monte, CA, and may technically offer spaces for RVs, the reported issues with management, maintenance, and resident treatment raise significant red flags.
Before even considering a visit, it would be wise to contact the management with specific questions about their policies regarding RVs, including the availability of spaces, the types of hookups provided, the monthly rates, lease terms, and any rules and regulations that would apply to RV residents. It would also be prudent to directly address the concerns raised in the online reviews, such as rent increase frequency, maintenance protocols, and parking policies.
If you do decide to visit the community, pay close attention to the condition of the streets, signage, and common areas beyond the front entrance. If possible, try to speak with current residents to get a broader perspective on the living conditions and management practices. Their firsthand experiences can provide invaluable insights that may not be apparent during a brief tour.
In conclusion, while Brookside Country Club Manufactured Home Community in El Monte, CA, is listed and may technically fall under the search category of "RV parks near me" for those seeking long-term options, the overwhelmingly negative feedback from a current resident regarding management practices, maintenance neglect, and resident treatment should be taken very seriously. Potential RV residents are strongly advised to conduct thorough due diligence, ask pointed questions, and carefully consider the significant concerns raised before making any decisions about residing in this community. Exploring other options in the El Monte area might be a more prudent approach to finding a welcoming and well-maintained long-term RV living environment.

Brookside Country Club Manufactured Home Community Reviews
I've lived here for some time, and while the community has its positives, I would recommend looking elsewhere if you're considering moving in.Management has a tendency to frequently increase rent with little explanation, and maintenance issues like potholes remain unresolved for many months. When the potholes do get filled, they later break again in the same location (leading me to infer the type of material being used to fill them). Also, stop signs and street markings have been faded for years, creating safety concerns that are simply ignored. While they make an effort to keep the park and front entrance looking nice for potential renters, I’d advise you to take a closer look beyond those areas. They place a huge amount of emphasis on how the homes should appear, yet fail to maintain the streets, signs, and street lights to the same standard. Guest parking is sometimes blocked off with orange cones for "maintenance" but despite these efforts, nothing seems to improve. It's clear that revenue and rent increases are a priority for management, which is understandable for any business, but if you’re searching for a welcoming and well-maintained community, you may want to explore other options.

Jan 07, 2025 · Louie MaldonadoThis place is a horrible to sum it up. If you have multiple cars don't live here, because use the Parking for a couple hours they will target your car and eventually tow it resulting in a hundreds of dollars to release your vehicle. Even parking it in the side temporarily can put your vecchile at risk. They call towing companies at 2am and even made a false claim that my vehicle was parked at cones when there weren't any? I have been wrongfully towed and was forced to pay $380. Very toxic place to live and there constantly harassing people who live there with notices and unnecessarily strict rules. The problem is easily identified able with the parking, yet they don't want change, because most don't do anything about it. But the thing is people who own cars ratioed to those who live in their home doesn't add up. There isn't enough space in our homes and anywhere for those who live here to park and instead of making resident parking they put more homes that further the problem. You guys raise the rent so why is it necessary to add more homes while leaving longer residents to suffer? All of these problems can and should be fixed.
Apr 26, 2024 · Jose VargasSounds like an awesome place to live, except for those complaining about illegal parking. FOLLOW THE RULES AND YOUR CAR WILL NOT GET TOWED AND STOP BLAMING EVERYONE ELSE. Theres plenty off the street parking.
Oct 21, 2024 · Jackie LopezThought about buying but no guest parking and awful wifi with raising rent is a no go.
