Carolina Shores RV Resort Introduce
For local users and travelers seeking "RV Parks Near Me" in the popular Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area, Carolina Shores RV Resort presents an evolving and family-friendly option for your next RV vacation. Currently transitioning from its previous identity as Pirate Land, this resort is actively undergoing improvements and additions, promising an enhanced experience for both new and returning visitors. If you are looking for a campground that offers spacious sites, convenient amenities, and ongoing development, Carolina Shores RV Resort is a destination worth considering for your Myrtle Beach getaway.
The environment at Carolina Shores RV Resort is noted for its spaciousness, particularly in terms of individual sites. According to guest feedback, the sites are wide enough to comfortably accommodate various RV sizes and setups, which is a significant advantage for families or those traveling with larger rigs. Many sites feature concrete pads, a desirable feature that provides a level and stable surface for parking and setting up camp, and which proves especially beneficial during rainy weather. While the internal roads are described as a "little narrow," they are newly paved, indicating an ongoing effort to improve the infrastructure and overall appearance of the resort. The landscaping in the entry area is also highlighted as "fantastic" and newly added, contributing to a positive first impression upon arrival.
Carolina Shores RV Resort is actively expanding its services and features, with several recent additions noted by guests. One significant improvement is the inclusion of a new dog park, a welcome amenity for travelers with pets, providing a dedicated space for their dogs to exercise and play. The construction of new shelters on the oceanfront sites is also underway and described as looking "great," suggesting an enhancement to the premium camping locations within the resort. These ongoing developments indicate a commitment to improving the guest experience and adding value to the resort over time. For those searching "RV Parks Near Me" and looking for a destination that is investing in its facilities, Carolina Shores RV Resort shows promising signs of growth and enhancement.
Among the recreational amenities at Carolina Shores RV Resort are a pool and a lazy river. These are popular features for families and individuals looking to relax and enjoy some water-based fun during their stay. However, one point of feedback from a guest was that the operating hours of the pool and lazy river (10 am to 6 pm) seemed somewhat short, with a desire for extended hours. It is worth noting that operating hours for such amenities can vary based on season and other factors, and it may be beneficial to confirm the current schedule when booking your stay.
In terms of essential services, Carolina Shores RV Resort offers the convenience of campsite trash pickup around 9 am daily. While this is a convenient service, one guest noted a potential issue regarding campers checking out later than the pickup time, which could result in trash being left at the site until the following day. This is an operational detail that the resort may address in its ongoing improvements. The absence of a central dumpster was also mentioned, making the campsite pickup the primary method of waste disposal for guests.
One area for potential improvement noted by a visitor is the check-in process. The location of the office was described as somewhat chaotic upon arrival, with limited space for multiple campers to pull over for check-in, especially if parking spots are already occupied. This is an aspect that the resort may consider optimizing as part of its ongoing development to ensure a smoother arrival experience for guests.
Despite these minor points of feedback, the overall sentiment from visitors is positive, with many expressing their love for the experience and their anticipation of returning to see future changes. The reasonable pricing mentioned by one guest is also a significant factor for those seeking value in their "RV Parks Near Me" search. The fact that a guest has already booked a specific site for their return visit indicates a high level of satisfaction with the resort and the desire for a particular camping experience within it.
While specific promotional offers or discounts are not mentioned in the provided reviews, the ongoing improvements and the positive experiences shared by guests serve as a strong indication of the resort's potential and appeal. The combination of spacious sites, concrete pads, new amenities like the dog park and oceanfront shelters, and the presence of a pool and lazy river make Carolina Shores RV Resort a compelling option for families and travelers looking for a well-equipped and evolving campground in the Myrtle Beach area. The reasonable pricing, as noted by one guest, further adds to its attractiveness.
In conclusion, Carolina Shores RV Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC, offers a family-friendly environment with spacious sites, concrete pads, and a range of amenities including a pool, lazy river, and a new dog park. The resort is currently undergoing positive transitions with newly paved roads and the addition of oceanfront shelters. While there are minor points regarding check-in and trash disposal that may be addressed in the future, the overall experience reported by guests is positive, with many looking forward to returning. For local users searching for "RV Parks Near Me" that are continuously improving and offer a solid foundation for a great Myrtle Beach vacation, Carolina Shores RV Resort is a destination to consider.

Carolina Shores RV Resort Reviews
Great spot for a family vacation. The site was wide enough to accommodate ours needs. We had a concrete pad which was great when it rained one afternoon. The location is still transitioning to Carolina shores from pirate land. Roads are a little narrow but newly paved. They added a dog park while we were there. Clearly improvements and additions are being made. Price was reasonable, hopefully that stays the same next year too!
Apr 26, 2025 · Jason SchusslerWe had a mishap where I locked a site but then called and added a night and requested to keep the same site but arrived to find we had been moved to another site. It was a bit disappointing but they did allow us to choose another site which worked out well for us. The freshly paved roads and new landscaping they added in the entry area are fantastic. The new shelters they are building on the oceanfront sites look great too! It is a little chaotic upon arrival - with the location of the office there really is nowhere for multiple campers to pull over for check in especially if the parking spots are already claimed by vehicles. Maybe this will be changing in the future. The hours of the pool and lazy river (10-6) seemed short and we found ourselves wishing every day they were open a little later. And one issue we noticed was no dumpster to take your trash to. It’s convenient that they pick it up at your campsite around 9am every day but it seemed campers that checked out at 11 missed trash pick up and left their trash at their site to sit overnight and get torn apart by birds.Overall we loved the experience and can’t wait to see what changes are made when we return next year! We booked and locked a site again and hopefully we get the site we locked 🤞.
Apr 26, 2025 · Sarah LukerWe are just finishing up a great stay at Carolina Shores RV Resort (formerly Pirateland), and we were really pleased with the experience. We’ve stayed at Pirateland several times in the past, and the transition to Carolina Shores has been smooth—no issues at all. Our site was in great shape, and the lazy river and pool were both in excellent condition. The bathhouses were very clean, and the newly paved roads between campsites were a great upgrade. While the general store wasn’t as fully stocked as usual, we understand that some things are still being worked out during the transition. One area that could use a little attention is general property maintenance—just a bit of polish here and there would go a long way. That said, it still feels like the place we know and love, and we’ll definitely be back!
Apr 18, 2025 · Robin ExtanceThis is our third year staying at Myrtle Beach. Our previous two years were at Pirateland and we moved our site over to Carolina Shores. We checked in with Megan and I’ve spoken with Dan in the front office as well who are fantastic people They aim to please and figure out whatever they can do to make your stay enjoyable and make the reservation process easy. I also met Bill who is the Ranger for security who is courteous and friendly. He is a retired police officer and knows how to do his job well. Thank you, Caroline Shores my wife Donna, and I are extremely happy.
Apr 10, 2025 · Gary PagelPull thru sites are very close together. Back-ins require a very experienced driver to park and not all can accommodate bigger rigs. Lots of seasonal permanent sites. There is a store, laundry, arcade, pool, lazy river, and a few places to eat. You really come for the beach. It is majestic. It's cleaned every day. Quiet time is enforced. They could do a better job picking up garbage. There's a lot of trash on the sides of the roads and in the canal. There is a brand new small fenced dog park. Sites have nice shaded canopies and the bathrooms are clean and the showers are hot and work well.
