Cayman Bay Introduce
For individuals searching for "RV parks near me" with the potential for extended stays or those specifically looking into mobile home parks in the Dothan, Alabama area, Cayman Bay, located at 3818 Napier Field Rd lot A401, presents a community with mixed feedback. While the platform category is "RV parks near me," mobile home parks often cater to longer-term residential needs, which may be relevant to some RV owners seeking a more permanent or semi-permanent location. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of Cayman Bay based on the available online reviews, highlighting both positive and negative experiences to help prospective residents form a balanced perspective.
Cayman Bay is situated on Napier Field Rd in Dothan, a significant city in Houston County, southeastern Alabama. Its location reportedly offers the advantage of being "close to work and shopping," which can be a significant draw for individuals seeking convenience and accessibility to urban amenities. This proximity to essential services and employment centers could make Cayman Bay an attractive option for those looking for a centrally located residential community in Dothan.
One resident, who had lived in Cayman Bay for nearly two years, shared a positive experience, describing it as a "Quiet little mobile home community" with no problems encountered with either management or neighbors during their tenure. This positive feedback suggests that for some residents, Cayman Bay offers a peaceful living environment and harmonious community relations. Furthermore, this reviewer highlighted a positive interaction with maintenance, noting that when they had an issue with their home's AC, the management responded promptly on the same day and facilitated a quick replacement of the evaporator. This suggests that at least some maintenance requests are handled efficiently.
Another resident expressed a desire for long-term residency, stating, "I plan to live here as long as I reasonably can since it's very close to my work." This reinforces the idea that the location's convenience to employment is a significant benefit for some residents of Cayman Bay.
However, a contrasting and strongly negative review presents serious concerns about the management and financial practices associated with Cayman Bay and its operating company, Roots Management. This reviewer emphatically stated, "The place is a joke! Ran by a crooked company that doesn't want to give back tenants deposits!" This is a significant accusation that potential residents should take into serious consideration. Financial transparency and the fair handling of security deposits are crucial aspects of any landlord-tenant relationship.
The same negative review further alleges that "the management doesn't want to do there job and direct you to corporate!" and quotes management as saying, "that not my job." This suggests potential issues with on-site management responsiveness and a possible disconnect between local management and the corporate office. The reviewer concludes by strongly advising others to "Steer clear of all properties ran my Roots Management!" This broad condemnation of the management company indicates a deeply negative experience.
Considering that Cayman Bay is being evaluated within the context of "RV parks near me," it is important to assess its suitability for long-term RV living. Mobile home parks can sometimes accommodate RVs for extended periods, but the services and environment might not be specifically tailored for RVs. Given the mixed reviews regarding the overall management and the serious accusation concerning security deposits, RV owners considering a long-term stay at Cayman Bay should be particularly cautious and seek explicit information about their policies regarding RVs, the terms of any agreements, and the handling of any deposits.
The limited information does not provide specific details about the environment of Cayman Bay beyond being a "quiet little mobile home community." Potential residents would need to inquire about the layout of the park, the condition of the grounds, and any amenities offered. Similarly, details about services such as maintenance (beyond the one positive AC repair mentioned), waste disposal, or community facilities are absent. For RV owners, information about the availability and type of hookups (electricity, water, sewer), the size of the lots, and any RV-specific amenities (like laundry or dump stations) would be essential.
No promotional information is included in the provided data. Therefore, prospective residents would need to contact Cayman Bay directly to inquire about lot rental rates, security deposit requirements (in light of the negative review), lease terms, and any special offers that might be available. It would be prudent to specifically ask about the process and conditions for the return of security deposits.
In conclusion, Cayman Bay in Dothan, Alabama, presents a mobile home community in a location reportedly convenient to work and shopping, with at least one resident reporting a positive experience with quiet living and responsive maintenance. However, a significant negative review raises serious concerns about the management practices, particularly regarding the return of security deposits and the responsiveness of on-site staff. For anyone considering Cayman Bay, whether for mobile home living or potential long-term RV stays, it is crucial to weigh these contrasting experiences carefully. Thorough due diligence, including direct and detailed inquiries with the management about their policies, procedures (especially regarding security deposits), and the overall living conditions, is strongly recommended. Visiting the property in person to assess the environment and the condition of the facilities would also be a prudent step before making any decisions. Given the starkly different opinions, prospective residents should proceed with caution and ensure they have a clear understanding of the terms and conditions of residency.

Aug 22, 2024 · Jeremy TalbottI moved into cayman bay not know what to expect. I've rented from other places and they ended up being complete nightmares. But here that's not the case . I moved in and noticed small defects with the unit nothing major just small things here and there which are to be expected within rentals . I contacted the ladies in the office to get these things taken care of I expected to be put on that good Ole 10 week waiting list but to my surprise these absolutely amazing individuals had a maintenance man at my door within minutes ( by the way the maintenance man is a pretty cool guy aswell and had a very good attitude towards his job and me as a tenant) the response time that I've experience with the ladies in the office can be defined as flawless I'm serious I can't get that quick of a response out of throwing a book at my buddies head. And it really does make a difference when ever you walk into the office and see the beautiful smiles on these individuals faces knowing that any questions you may have will be answered . I can't thank yall enough for making settling into a new place this easy.~Shane lancaster~
Mar 01, 2024 · Mr.Lancaster [BEAR]It’s ok. Rent is too high for having to pay for lawn and pest treatment. It went up to 880 for my place suddenly without notice since they got new trailers in. Ive been trying to stay in the community and move to a smaller apartment for months since I’m single now. Managment is not helpful for the most part. Told me that I’ll probably have to move out next year because my ex won’t sign his name off lease. Very unfair. I’m lucky to have a good job and hopefully I’ll find another place by that time.
Jun 09, 2023 · Jasemine BrownI was approved of a trailer here in hopes of buying after proper preparation... I put a deposit down for a unit and was it would be ready by a certain time and was denied the right to look in the property due to immeasurable damage and was informed of another unit which i was hesitant about due to my line of work... I informed that i had the first months rent and for some reason there was always and exscuse as why I could not get something... She calls me back a week before move in with this information and was informed that I had already put in a notice for my home with a 2 year old child... I was told a background check had to come back for an occupant... So I waited... She called me back the same day and told me I could come by and pay the rent since it was approved and the spot I had to settle for was finished... Then I get a call following that saying my application was revoked due to an occupant(not leasee) who has not even went on trail for an alledge crime and has no prior felonies. Now I was told I would have to wait 30-45 business days for me deposit back. Very cruel and unethical. According to the "Fair Housing for People with a Criminal Record," The denial must be based on reliable evidence and not be hypothetical or speculative. So, again; due to not having went to trail it is speculative and hypothetical and if do not receive a detailed letter of why "I" the only leasee was revoked and my deposit... Legal actions will be taken.
