MANN CREEK CAMPGROUND Introduce
Nestled in the scenic landscapes of Weiser, Idaho, Mann Creek Campground presents an opportunity for local users seeking a refreshing outdoor escape. Situated at Mann Crk Rd, Weiser, ID 83672, USA, this campground offers access to the natural beauty of the region and a range of recreational activities. For those searching for "camping near me," Mann Creek Campground provides a convenient and potentially rewarding experience, although it's essential to note the information available regarding its operational status and facilities.
Based on available information, the environment surrounding Mann Creek Campground is characterized by its natural beauty. One review mentions "endless, beautiful scenery and trails and adventures to be had," particularly in the areas beyond the developed campground and closer to Sturgill Lookout. This suggests that the location offers picturesque views and opportunities for exploration in the surrounding wilderness. The presence of Mann Creek Reservoir further enhances the appeal, hinting at potential water-based activities and scenic lakeside settings.
However, it's crucial to consider the information regarding the campground's operational status and available services. A recent review from early April indicates that the main campground was "not open," and there was no information available regarding its opening date. This suggests that potential visitors should verify the campground's operational schedule before planning a trip, especially during the shoulder seasons. The review also mentions a "dispersed site on the west side of the lake with a boat launch but no developed campsites," which was described as a "mud pit." While this area might offer basic access for boating and fishing, it appears to lack the amenities and prepared grounds of a developed campground.
The positive aspect highlighted in the early April review is the tranquility of the location during that time, with "not a lot of people" present. Additionally, the reviewer mentioned successfully catching "a few fish," indicating the potential for fishing opportunities at Mann Creek Reservoir. This could be a significant draw for anglers seeking a peaceful fishing spot in the local area.
Considering the "camping near me" platform category, local users will likely be interested in the accessibility and the types of services and features Mann Creek Campground typically offers when open. While specific details about amenities like restrooms, water sources, picnic tables, or designated campsites within the main campground are not provided in the available information, it is reasonable to expect that a developed campground would typically offer such basic facilities to enhance the camping experience. However, given the recent report of the campground being closed, it is imperative for prospective visitors to obtain up-to-date information directly from the campground management.
To get the most accurate information regarding the services and features of Mann Creek Campground, local users are advised to contact them directly at the provided phone numbers: (208) 549-4200 or mobile phone +1 208-549-4200. Inquiring about the opening dates, availability of campsites, fees, and the specific amenities offered will ensure a well-informed decision when planning a camping trip. It would also be beneficial to ask about any specific regulations or guidelines in place for campers.
While the reviews offer a glimpse into the potential beauty and recreational opportunities around Mann Creek Reservoir, they also highlight the importance of verifying the operational status and the condition of the camping areas. The contrast between the positive description of the scenery further from the developed area and the negative experience at the dispersed site underscores the need for clear and current information regarding the campground itself.
For local users exploring "camping near me" options, Mann Creek Campground could be a destination to consider, particularly if seeking a quieter, more nature-focused experience. The potential for hiking, exploring scenic trails, and fishing in Mann Creek Reservoir adds to its appeal. However, it is crucial to reiterate the necessity of contacting the campground directly to ascertain its operating schedule and the availability of developed campsites and amenities.
In conclusion, Mann Creek Campground, situated near Weiser, Idaho, offers a natural environment with scenic beauty and potential for outdoor activities like hiking and fishing. While the area surrounding the campground appears appealing, recent reports indicate that the main campground may not always be open, and dispersed camping options may have limitations. Local users interested in camping at Mann Creek Campground are strongly encouraged to contact the management at (208) 549-4200 or +1 208-549-4200 to obtain the most current information on opening dates, available services, and any relevant regulations to ensure a satisfactory camping experience.

MANN CREEK CAMPGROUND Reviews
We were beyond the paid camping, about 4-6 miles from Sturgill Lookout. It's beautiful, even more when it's not filled with smoke. Endless, beautiful scenery and trails and adventures to be had❤️
Aug 15, 2024 · Jocelyn BondeWe ended up here the first week in April. There's nothing on the internet that says the campground is not open yet. There is a dispersed site on the west side of the lake with a boat launch but no developed campsites and it is pretty much a mud pit. I do have to say that it was quiet and not a lot of people yet and we did catch a few fish. The main campground was not open and I didn't see anything that said when it does open.
Apr 09, 2025 · David MartinezWe loved our experience at Mann Creek Campground. The toilet facilities were clean and the smell wasn't bad. They have fresh well water for drinking and washing hands, cooking, etc... the grounds were clean and well maintained. Large camp spots, that each had their own picnic area and fire pit. Lot's of adventuring near by, with the creek, reservoir and forest all nearby.
Aug 28, 2022 · Sherin StarkThe campground was still closed with no services for the season. There was no information as to when it will open. However you can still walk up in the area. I was able to enjoy the water flowing down and view where the beavers have been working. It has been about 15 years since I was up there. Mann's Creek was one of my favorite fishing and camping spots. With all the improvements I am sure I will enjoy it again once it opens up for camping.
May 10, 2021 · ReBecca WalkerThe BLM campground is a lot better than the State Park campground. The lake was full with water going down the spillway. I caught 6 nice trout trolling in my canoe by noon. I will go back.
