Lost Dutchmans Campground Reviews
Nice little stopping place with 30/50 Amp service. Friendly people. Easy on and off the highway. If your rig has good insulation the noise is very low.
Jun 21, 2024 · Margene LindhorstWe had a great time at Lost Dutchman’s Campground. Nice shady spot in the 100 degree weather. Very friendly people! Nice clubhouse and restrooms.
Jul 18, 2023 · Dennis LachutGreat camp and great hosts! Very welcoming and made us feel like family. The tour of the claim was pretty cool and the kids loved learning about all the things. We will definitely be back next time we pass through and next time will make time to dig for some gold!
Aug 11, 2022 · Hamilton NickoloffThe staff was really friendly and there was plenty of space to spread out.Unfortunately neither of the two spigots next to my site worked. The campsite was also gravel and very noisy all night with a train nearby.
Sep 01, 2020 · Alex BourdagesVery rude and grumpy people. Quoted one price then charges another. I told them i saw the sign in I-84 that states they would teach you to pan for gold. Thinking it was 15:30 hrs, still had plenty of time. I was told I would have to rent a site and spend the night for $35.00 a night. Even though it lacked wifi or showers or a bathroom. At least I wasnt shown one or told they were available. As night wore on I had to use the restroom so bad I finally ended up leaving at 3:30 am. Drove to town for a bathroom.I think now that this is a private prospector kind of thing. RV area as when I left they followed me all the way to town. One of them got up and followed me to turn around making sure I wasn't stealing gold or something. I don't know. Very cryptic and standoffish. I would pass on this visit. Who knows what would have happened had i actually found gold. Its about four exits earlier to stay at Farewell Bend. Which is fully equipped with bathrooms and showers for the same $35.00 Or just stop in Baker City if you're coming from the west and there's RV parks there.
