If you are searching for "RV parks near me" or considering mobile home living in Phoenix, Arizona, Christown, located at 1919 W Colter St, Phoenix, AZ 85015, USA, is a mobile home park situated near the Metrocenter area. You can contact them at (623) 499-3929 or +1 623-499-3929 for inquiries about availability and services.
Christown's location on West Colter Street places it in proximity to the Metrocenter mall area of Phoenix. This part of the city is undergoing significant redevelopment, with plans for "upscale apartments, restaurants, bars, and offices" in the area behind the mall, aiming to create a more integrated "15-minute city" concept. This future development could potentially transform the environment surrounding Christown, bringing new retail and amenities to the area. However, one reviewer currently describes the location with a negative sentiment, indicating that the present environment may not be as appealing as future prospects suggest.
For individuals seeking "RV parks near me," it is important to determine if Christown accommodates recreational vehicles. While primarily identified as a mobile home park, some such communities also provide spaces and services for RVs, either on a short-term or long-term basis. Typically, RV parks offer essential utility hookups, including electricity, water, and sewer connections. The availability and capacity of these services are critical for RV owners. Additionally, RV parks often provide amenities such as laundry facilities, restrooms, and showers. Some may also feature recreational facilities or communal gathering areas to enhance the guest experience.
Mobile home parks like Christown are typically designed for longer-term residency. They provide individual lots for mobile homes, often with space for parking and small yards. The infrastructure within these parks is geared towards supporting more permanent living arrangements, with established utility connections and a focus on creating a stable residential community. The features of a mobile home park can vary, but they often include a sense of community among residents and management that addresses the needs of long-term occupants.
The available customer reviews for Christown offer insights into the current living conditions and costs within the park. One reviewer described the location as a "gutter" in its present state, contrasting this with the potential future improvements planned for the area around the Metrocenter mall. This suggests that current residents may be living in an environment that is not considered desirable by some, although future developments could change this perception.
Another reviewer expressed significant concerns regarding the cost of living at Christown. They stated that the rent was already "to high" and highlighted the absence of a pool for two years and no clubhouse. They further mentioned an impending rent increase to $800 per month and indicated that this increase would make it unaffordable for many residents in the park who are on fixed or minimum wage. This reviewer explicitly stated their inability to stay at the increased rent and suggested that the rent should be "400.00 at best," implying that the current and future pricing does not align with the perceived value or the financial capacity of many residents.
Based on these reviews, Christown appears to be a mobile home park in an area that is slated for potential future redevelopment. Currently, however, at least one reviewer finds the location undesirable, and another expresses strong concerns about the affordability of the rent and the lack of amenities such as a pool and clubhouse. These factors could influence the quality of life for residents and the attractiveness of the park for potential newcomers.
For individuals searching for "RV parks near me," it is essential to contact the current management of Christown directly to inquire about their policies regarding RVs. Key questions should include whether RVs are permitted, the size and type of RV sites available, the types and capacity of utility hookups offered, the daily, weekly, or monthly rates for RV stays, and what amenities are available for RV guests. Given the concerns raised about the lack of a pool and clubhouse for mobile home residents, it would also be pertinent to inquire about any amenities available to RV guests.
For individuals considering residing in a mobile home at Christown, it is crucial to inquire about the current rental rates, the terms of lot leases, any community rules or fees, and the availability and condition of amenities such as a pool and clubhouse. The review highlighting the high rent and lack of amenities suggests that prospective mobile home residents should carefully consider the cost of living and the facilities offered before making a decision. It would also be beneficial to inquire about any planned improvements or changes to the park in light of the surrounding area's redevelopment.
When comparing "RV parks near me" or considering a mobile home community, factors such as location, cost, amenities, and the overall environment are often key considerations. Christown's proximity to a potentially redeveloping area might be a draw for some, but the current perception of the location and the concerns about high rent and limited amenities are important factors to weigh. The lack of a pool and clubhouse for an extended period, coupled with a significant rent increase, could indicate potential challenges within the community.
In conclusion, Christown in Phoenix, Arizona, is a mobile home park located near the Metrocenter area, which is anticipating future redevelopment. Current reviews suggest concerns about the present desirability of the location, high rental costs, and a lack of amenities like a pool and clubhouse. For those searching for "RV parks near me," direct inquiry with the park management is necessary to determine its suitability for RVs and the specific amenities offered. Similarly, for individuals interested in mobile home living, careful consideration of the cost of living and the available facilities, as highlighted in the reviews, is essential. Visiting the property and gathering detailed information from the management would be advisable before making a decision about Christown.

Christown Reviews
What a gutter. I hear they're revamping the area behind the mall with upscale apartments, restaurants, bars, and offices. Basically, it's a 15-minute city kind of idea. If they can pull that off and bring some new retail to the mall, it might just end up being a big draw, but for now, ick.

Dec 02, 2023 · James NordI stay here and it's pretty quiet and fairly clean. I get along with the majority of my neighbors and overall - I enjoy being here.
Mar 24, 2024 · Bunny ParksI recently inquired about moving in this park. The manager was very affable and explained the improvements the park is undergoing. The MY I looked at was really better than I expected. And you can live in this park for less than $700 a month if you qualify. (I did not). They were so nice I couldn't be upset at not getting approved. It's small and quiet and has a cute small pool and clubhouse for bbq 's etc.
Oct 29, 2017 · TRACY JAMES (Miss James)After going several months with no proper upkeep, the area finally has some people mowing the lawn and cleaning up the place (a little bit anyways). However there's never anyone at the office, and the only way to get ahold of anyone is to leave a message and wait for them to call back. Overall service has improved, but it's still not great. As for the general neighborhood, while the people within the community are quite nice, outside the mobile park there's typically 1-2 gunshots a week, so be advised, not the safest place to live.
