I will preface by saying that my family has been tenants for about 5 years. We've seen the transfer of ownership I believe twice already, and it's all been the same. I have a LOT to say, so I'll explain:- Some time in 2023, our mobile home almost got broken into with my family still inside the house. The door frame was in SPLINTERS from the force of this dude trying to break down our door, and there are massive dents on the door from the zippo lighter the man used in his attempt to break in. He was tweaking on meth according to the police, which makes sense since the man was begging us to let him in, claiming someone was after him. Obviously we're not that stupid. After the guy got arrested for attempted breaking and entering, I wanted to press charges. The police department told me I needed the landlord's permission to press charges since the house I'm renting is technically not mine. Okay. The response I got? One of the ladies at the desk asked me to move on and forget it happened. What??? That's suspicious. How can I forget almost being broken into, with a toddler at my hip and a husband desperately trying to bolster the door shut while I'm on the phone with 911, fearing for our lives? The operator on the phone could even HEAR our mobile home shaking from the force and told me to stay on the phone with her until police arrive. And CCR expects me to forget this trauma? I beg your finest pardons? There's nothing I can do about it, so I was forced to let it go, but I won't forget this.- Easter, April 2024, the office ladies promised to host an egg hunt for the neighborhood kids. On Easter day, a huge number of us waited in the field for about half an hour after it was supposed to start. I made phone calls to CCR, so did some of the other adults. After we realized this ain't happening, The children were visibly upset and my niece was CRYING. It's one thing to disappoint adults, but it's absolutely UNFORGIVEABLE to disappoint children. Do not make promises you cannot keep, period. There was no cancelation notification anywhere, no phone calls made to any of us who RSVP'd. We were all livid. CCR issued an apology and promised to make up for that, but I haven't seen anything new, and I cannot trust that they'll keep their promises moving forward. The following are grievances for problems in our mobile home that have been neglected. Note that our work order was placed back in November of 2024.- There is currently an ongoing issue where I attempt to make phone calls, and the voicemail messages I leave for them aren't being reciprocated, just ignored. I used to get the excuse that the maintenance workers are doing everything they can, and I get that--but where are we on the timetables? How long must we wait until things get fixed? What are we paying rent for?- Around December of 2024, I had two maintenance workers look at our faucets and tell me that they needed to go to Lowe's to find the right size, and they'll show up the next day. I figure since it was around the Christmas holidays, it was only fair to let it go and give the poor fellas a break. After December, they never came back, and we still have one broken faucet, and one faucet that trickles water when it's turned on. It's now March 2025 and I'm still waiting.- We put in a work order for the window in our daughter's room that is somehow leaking in air. We have been forced to do what we can to stem the problem so that our daughter can be warm during the winter. There is air being blown because the curtain is somehow being blown outward, and if you put your hand against the window, you can feel a gush of air, but we are not able to pinpoint where it's coming from. It's so bad that ice formed on the inside.- The doorknob to our bathroom is getting stuck from age, as in it simply won't turn any more, and needs attention.- Part of the wall by our main door is rotting and needs replaced. I was told someone would show up to fix the wall.- Kitchen vent is falling apart and is in a bad location near our refrigerator, which we've never moved; I don't think we can. - Opalithe

Clear Creek MHC Introduce

If you are searching for 'RV parks near me' in the Killeen, Texas area, and are open to considering mobile home communities for potential long-term RV stays, Clear Creek MHC, located at 6000 S Clear Creek Rd, Killeen, TX 76549, warrants careful consideration. While the primary focus of this community is mobile homes, it's possible that they may offer spaces or accommodations suitable for RVs seeking an extended residency. However, it is crucial to approach this option with a thorough understanding of recent resident experiences, as indicated by online reviews.

The environment of Clear Creek MHC, based on the provided customer feedback, presents a complex picture with both potential positives and significant concerns. One long-term resident of approximately five years noted that the community was "clean" and that the "neighbors were cool and quiet." These aspects could be appealing to RVers seeking a relatively peaceful and tidy setting for a longer stay. However, this positive sentiment is overshadowed by serious allegations and experiences shared in the same and another review.

A particularly alarming incident described by a long-term resident involved an attempted break-in of their mobile home while their family was inside. The resident detailed significant damage to their door and the subsequent interaction with the management regarding pressing charges, which they found unhelpful and dismissive. This raises serious concerns about the safety and security within the community and the management's response to such incidents. For individuals considering Clear Creek MHC for RV living, understanding the community's safety protocols and the responsiveness of management in emergency situations is paramount.

Another significant environmental factor to consider is the alleged neglect of maintenance issues. The long-term resident provided a detailed list of unresolved problems in their mobile home, some dating back several months. These included a broken and trickling faucet, a leaking window causing ice formation inside, a malfunctioning bathroom doorknob, a rotting wall, and a falling-apart kitchen vent. The lack of timely repairs and the feeling of being ignored by management regarding these issues paint a concerning picture of the living conditions and the level of service provided. RV residents considering a long-term stay would need to inquire extensively about maintenance procedures and expected response times for any issues that might arise with their site or utilities.

Furthermore, the reviews highlight issues with communication and broken promises from the management. The cancellation of an Easter egg hunt for children without prior notice or apology until after the fact resulted in significant disappointment and a loss of trust for some residents. Additionally, the long-term resident reported ignored voicemail messages and a lack of updates on the status of their pending work orders. Effective and transparent communication between management and residents is crucial for a positive living experience, and the feedback suggests potential shortcomings in this area at Clear Creek MHC.

One review from a former resident also detailed a multitude of unresolved maintenance issues upon moving in, including uncleanliness, lack of pest control, and a malfunctioning AC unit that took five months to repair. This individual also alleged unnecessary charges, changes to agreed-upon terms (like lawn care), and unprofessional behavior from the manager. These grievances further underscore the potential challenges related to management and the overall living experience at Clear Creek MHC.

Regarding services and features that might be relevant to RV residents, the provided information does not explicitly detail typical RV park amenities such as dedicated bathhouses, laundry facilities, or recreational areas. As Clear Creek MHC is primarily a mobile home park, these amenities might be limited or non-existent for RV occupants. Potential RV residents would need to inquire specifically about the availability of full hookups (water, electricity, sewer) at any RV-suitable sites, the quality and reliability of these utilities, and any other services offered to RV guests. Given the maintenance concerns raised by mobile home residents, it would be prudent to ascertain the process for RV site maintenance and repairs as well.

Promotional information is not included in the provided text. To determine if Clear Creek MHC offers any specific rates or incentives for RVs seeking long-term stays, it is essential to contact their management directly at (254) 677-6626 or +1 254-677-6626. Inquiries should include the availability of RV sites, the monthly rates, the terms of any agreements, and any additional fees or services offered. Due to the significant concerns raised in the resident reviews, it would also be advisable to ask specific questions about safety protocols, maintenance procedures, and communication practices to gain a clearer understanding of the management's approach to resident satisfaction.

In conclusion, while Clear Creek MHC is located in Killeen, Texas, and might offer potential long-term RV parking options within a mobile home community setting, the available customer reviews present serious concerns regarding safety, management responsiveness, maintenance, and communication. Individuals searching for 'RV parks near me' and considering Clear Creek MHC should proceed with extreme caution and conduct thorough due diligence. Direct and detailed communication with the management is crucial to address the issues raised in the reviews and to ascertain the suitability of the community for RV living. Visiting the property in person to assess the environment and available RV sites, if any, would also be a vital step in making an informed decision. The significant negative feedback suggests that prospective RV residents should carefully weigh the potential affordability and location against the reported challenges before committing to a stay at Clear Creek MHC.
