Coahoma County Expo Center RV Park Introduce
Welcome to Coahoma County Expo Center RV Park, located at 1150 Wildcat Dr, Clarksdale, MS 38614, USA. For those searching for "RV parks near me" in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, particularly when visiting Clarksdale, the birthplace of the Blues, this RV park offers an affordable and conveniently situated option. While primarily serving as an overflow or event-related camping area associated with the Expo Center, it provides essential amenities for RV travelers.
Based on customer reviews, Coahoma County Expo Center RV Park offers several notable advantages. Guests consistently mention the cleanliness of the park and the tidiness of the individual campsites. This attention to basic upkeep contributes to a more pleasant and comfortable stay. Furthermore, the cost is highlighted as a significant positive, with one reviewer stating that the $20 nightly fee includes hookups, making it a very budget-friendly option for RVers.
The RV sites themselves are reported to be flat, which is a crucial factor for ensuring level parking and the proper functioning of RV appliances. The park is also described as "very quiet," offering a peaceful environment for rest and relaxation, which can be particularly appealing after a day of travel or attending local events.
For RVers requiring full hookups, the park offers this service on the left side of the road within the grounds, including electric, water, and sewer connections. For those with less demanding needs, such as those with composting toilets, the right side of the road provides sites with electric and water hookups only, which may be suitable and still cost-effective at the same $20 rate.
The Coahoma County Expo Center RV Park also provides a bathhouse for guests who require these facilities. However, it's important to note a significant drawback mentioned in the reviews: the bathroom building is described as needing improvement. Specifically, one reviewer reported a lack of running water and no doors for the showers, leading them to advise against using the shower facilities. While the bathhouse was noted to be clean, the lack of essential functionality is a considerable concern for potential guests who rely on these amenities.
Despite the issues with the bathhouse, one reviewer stated they would stay at the park again due to feeling safe during their overnight stay. This sense of security is an important factor for travelers when choosing an RV park, especially in unfamiliar areas. The park is also reported to be well-lit at night, further contributing to the feeling of safety and security.
For those specifically interested in exploring the history of the Blues, Clarksdale, Mississippi, is a pivotal location, and Coahoma County Expo Center RV Park is noted as being the "only RV Park for miles" in this context. This makes it a potentially convenient base for visitors drawn to the area's rich musical heritage and attractions.
The overall maintenance of the park is generally perceived positively, with one reviewer stating that it "seems well maintained." However, they did note the presence of "a few junker trailer's sitting about," which could detract slightly from the overall aesthetic appeal but did not seem to impact the functionality or safety of the park.
The grounds offer "plenty of room to walk the dog around," which is a significant benefit for travelers with pets. Having adequate space for pet exercise contributes to a more comfortable experience for both owners and their animals.
Considering the very affordable nightly rate of $20, which includes hookups (at least on some sites), Coahoma County Expo Center RV Park presents a budget-friendly option for RVers visiting Clarksdale. However, potential guests should be aware of the reported issues with the bathhouse facilities and plan accordingly.
One reviewer suggested that with "a bit of sprucing up and attention," the park could easily become a four-star rated facility. This indicates that the fundamental aspects of the park, such as cleanliness, quiet environment, and flat sites, are already in place, and improvements to the bathroom facilities could significantly enhance the overall guest experience.
As the Coahoma County Expo Center RV Park appears to be primarily managed in conjunction with events at the Expo Center, it is advisable for potential visitors to contact the relevant authorities or the Expo Center directly for information on availability, reservations, and any updates regarding the park's facilities, particularly the bathhouse. Contact information may be available through online searches for the Coahoma County Expo Center. Given the limited information available online and the absence of a dedicated phone number in the provided data, direct inquiry is crucial.
In conclusion, Coahoma County Expo Center RV Park offers an affordable and conveniently located option for RVers visiting Clarksdale, Mississippi, especially those interested in the area's Blues history or attending events at the Expo Center. The park is noted for its cleanliness, quiet atmosphere, flat sites, and budget-friendly pricing, with full hookups available on some sites. However, potential guests should be aware of the reported deficiencies in the bathhouse facilities. Despite this drawback, the park is considered a safe place to stay and could be a suitable option for travelers prioritizing affordability and basic amenities. Contacting the Coahoma County Expo Center directly for the most current information is recommended.

Coahoma County Expo Center RV Park Reviews
We stayed one night here while attending the deep blue festival. On the plus side: it’s clean, all the camps are tidy and the $20 cost includes hookups. Sites are flat. And it was very quiet. On the minus side: the bathroom building needs improvement. It was clean but there was no water and no doors for the showers. I wouldn’t shower here.I would stay here again as it was safe. But a bit of sprucing up and attention could easily make this worthy of a four star review.
Oct 16, 2023 · Christopher JamesIf you are here to learn the history of the Blues and its beginning in Clarksdale Mississippi this is the only RV Park for miles. Seems well maintained, there are a few junker trailer's sitting about but otherwise clean. There is full hookups , electric, water and sewer on the left side of the road and on the right, electric and water only, which was fine for us as we have a compositing toilet. There is a Bath House if you need it and plenty of room to walk the dog around the grounds. It is quiet and well lit up at night and for $20.00 a night it is quite acceptable.
Sep 26, 2019 · Marci PottsMy family get together was there for two years straight. Just last Saturday May 20, 2023, we had wrestling there. I wrestled there for the first time since I've started wrestling 3 years ago. I had the tag belts but we lost and now I'm moving on to something bigger and better for my career. Thanks for your continued support of my career.
May 23, 2023 · ShonWe stayed overnight April 12 to April 17 2023 at the Coahoma County Expo Center & RV Park in Clarksdale, MS. This RV park is Clarksdale’s best kept secret!! Gorgeous and green and large!!Thank you to Kendrick Travis for his excellent management and for having all the grass cut everywhere on April 12. It really made a difference!!! Thank you.
Apr 23, 2023 · Lizabeth BoeLot of low rent (and I'm not high class) with not clean sites. What sites I found away from that area were without electricity. Needs a lot of maintenance to get it back in shape. Not impressed but as far as I can see it's the only game in town. $20 as of Feb 21st, 2017......... Stayed there again a few months ago and things are a little better, not much but at least it's not going backwards... Don't be put off by the RV park / Expo Center. Clarksdale Mississippi is way too fun of a town for a little thing like not a five-star campground to be the factor in whether or not you stop for the greatest blues in the country.
