Buck Island Introduce
For local users searching for "RV parks near me," it's important to understand that the search results might occasionally include listings for mobile home parks, which typically offer longer-term residential options rather than short-term RV stays. Buck Island, situated at 2466 Kirby Rd, Tunica Resorts, MS 38664, USA, is a mobile home park in the Tunica Resorts area. Inquiries can be directed to (662) 363-0121 or their mobile number +1 662-363-0121.
Prospective residents often rely on the experiences of current and former residents to gauge the suitability of a community. The following introduction aims to provide an objective overview of Buck Island based on the limited customer reviews available online. It is crucial to recognize that these reviews represent individual experiences and may not be universally representative. However, they offer valuable insights into potential living conditions and management practices.
Concerns Regarding Living Conditions and Maintenance
Both of the available reviews for Buck Island paint a concerning picture regarding the living conditions and the responsiveness of management to maintenance issues. One former resident, who reportedly lived in the community for many years, describes it as the "worst place to live" and strongly advises against renting there. A significant complaint is that repairs were frequently neglected, even after being reported multiple times, eventually leading to the resident giving up on seeking resolution.
This same reviewer also raises a serious health concern, stating that mold was present in more than three out of every four trailers they lived in within the park. Mold growth in residential units can lead to various health problems and indicates potential issues with moisture control and property maintenance. Additionally, they mention that water pools in the yard, creating a "swamp like atmosphere," suggesting drainage problems and potentially unsanitary conditions.
The second review, from a current resident, echoes the severe dissatisfaction with the living conditions and maintenance. This resident states they wouldn't want their "worst enemy" to stay there, emphasizing the extent of their negative experience. They describe their trailer as "so raggedy" and allege a lack of willingness from the management to address necessary repairs. A particularly alarming detail is the resident's statement about almost falling through the shower, indicating potentially dangerous disrepair within the units. Furthermore, they report not even having smoke detectors in their trailer, which is a critical safety violation.
The current resident's intention to move "ASAP" underscores the urgency and severity of their dissatisfaction with their living situation at Buck Island.
Environment and Grounds
The description of water pooling in the yard, leading to a "swamp like atmosphere," provided by one reviewer, offers the only insight into the environment and grounds of Buck Island. This suggests potential issues with landscaping and drainage, which could make outdoor areas unpleasant and potentially unusable, especially during periods of rain. The lack of any positive comments about the environment or upkeep of the grounds further contributes to a negative impression.
Services and Maintenance Responsiveness
The primary service-related feedback revolves around the lack of adequate maintenance and repair. Both reviewers explicitly state that reported issues were often ignored or not addressed in a timely manner. This suggests a significant deficiency in the management's responsiveness to the needs of their residents and a potential disregard for maintaining the habitability and safety of the properties within the park. The alleged presence of mold and the severely dilapidated condition of at least one trailer, including a non-functional shower and missing smoke detectors, highlight a concerning lack of essential services and safety provisions.
Features and Amenities
The limited information available in the reviews does not provide any details about the features or amenities offered at Buck Island. Typically, mobile home parks might offer basic utilities, common areas, and possibly laundry facilities. However, none of these are mentioned in the negative reviews. The focus is solely on the poor condition of the individual units and the lack of maintenance.
The absence of any positive mentions regarding community features or amenities further contributes to the overall negative portrayal of Buck Island based on the available feedback.
Promotional Information
Given the overwhelmingly negative nature of the available customer reviews, there is no positive or promotional information to be extracted about Buck Island. The strong warnings against renting from this location and the detailed accounts of disrepair, neglected maintenance, and potential safety hazards serve as stark deterrents for prospective residents.
In light of the serious allegations made by former and current residents, any potential promotional efforts by the management would need to directly address and rectify these significant issues to regain the trust of the community and attract new residents.
Serious Concerns and Strong Warnings
The consistent themes of neglected repairs, poor living conditions (including mold and structural issues), and a lack of essential safety features (like smoke detectors) in the provided reviews are deeply concerning. The strong and unequivocal warnings from both reviewers against living at Buck Island should be taken very seriously by anyone considering this mobile home park as a potential residence.
The severity of the issues reported suggests a potentially unsafe and unhealthy living environment. Prospective residents should prioritize their well-being and thoroughly investigate these claims before making any decisions.
Recommendation for Potential Residents
Local users who come across Buck Island while searching for "RV parks near me" or considering a mobile home park in Tunica Resorts, Mississippi, should be aware of the severely negative feedback from both available reviews. The allegations of neglected maintenance, mold infestation, structural problems, and the absence of basic safety features paint a very unfavorable picture of this community.
Prospective residents are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution and to thoroughly investigate these issues independently. This should include visiting the property (if possible), attempting to speak with multiple current residents beyond the individuals who left online reviews, and seeking information from local housing authorities or tenant rights organizations regarding the conditions and management practices at Buck Island.
Given the strength and consistency of the negative feedback, it would be prudent for local users to explore alternative mobile home parks or residential options in the Tunica Resorts area that have a more positive reputation and a documented history of responsible property management and resident care. The information currently available suggests that Buck Island may not provide a safe, healthy, or satisfactory living environment.

Buck Island Reviews
Worst place to live. Do not rent from here. I lived for many years. Repairs were often not made when reported multiple times until you give up. Mold in more than 3 out of 4 trailers I lived in. Water pools in the yard leaving a swamp like atmosphere.
Jun 22, 2024 · Cherry WilliamsI currently leave here & I wouldn't want my worst enemy to stay. My trailer is so raggedy and they want fix anything over here. Literally I almost fell through the shower 2 days ago. I don't even have smoke detectors in here. I could go on but ima just move ASAP.
Oct 26, 2021 · taquisha townsendThe office manager is prejudice and will NOT get additional help for maintenance to get the mobile home fixed properly. It’s only one maintenance man and he can’t fix everything by himself, but she refuse to hire more workers. Rita T is continuing to move people into unfinished trailers despite maintenance telling her they are NOT ready. I’ve been here over a year paid my rent on time faithfully yet my porch steps are coming apart. I have to stretch from the bottom step all the way pass the top to keep from failing through the steps. This isn’t good living condition and she don’t seem to care about anything but extra dollar in her pocket. Also her and the Caucasian workers she had hired tried to sabotage the work the new workers which happened to be Mexicans did in the trailers to make them look bad.
May 17, 2021 · Fairytalez FashionIt's a trailer park about 5 mins from the casinos of Tunica County in Robinsonville. Its a convenient and affordable spot for relocated casino workers and for a person who wants to be employed at the casino but the commute is too long from their current place. I've heard that the move in process was easier than most and the rent and some utilities are combined all in one bill so for some people that have problems with budgeting finances, this is a desirable advantage. From what I've seen, the landscaping is always free from trash and presentable. It looks well managed.
Apr 01, 2022 · Veronica MooreIt's been 3 months since my refrigerator hasn't worked but candy said she would get me a new one nothing yet. Can't even keep milk now she says nothing wrong with it. My heat still not fixed had 350 dollar utility bill for few months but she says nothing wrong with it. Talked to her 4 days ago to tell her that the guys cleaning out trailer next to me throw syringes needles all on ground she said she was coming down to see there still all over the ground along with a bunch of trash they left behind. Parts of torn carpet empty drink cans Roundup jugs papers just nasty as can be. She would make a great car sells man talks like she cares but she isn't going to do anything for ya. Wish I could post pic I took just to show everyone
