Colonial Mobile Manor Introduce
Located at 118 Narvaez Ave in San Jose, California, Colonial Mobile Manor presents itself as a residential community that may be of interest to those seeking "RV parks near me," particularly seniors looking for a longer-term living arrangement. While primarily a mobile home park, its features and community aspects could potentially accommodate RV owners seeking a stable and senior-friendly environment in the San Jose area. You can reach them at (408) 269-4404 or +1 408-269-4404 for more specific inquiries.
Based on available customer reviews, Colonial Mobile Manor is described by some as a "great place for seniors to live, rent or buy." This positive feedback emphasizes its suitability for older adults, suggesting a community that caters to their needs and preferences. One notable feature mentioned is a "nice and big" clubhouse, which serves as a central point for activities designed for seniors. This indicates a focus on fostering social interaction and providing opportunities for engagement among residents. For seniors considering a long-term stay in their RV, the presence of such a clubhouse and organized activities can significantly enhance their living experience by offering social connections and recreational opportunities.
Another positive aspect highlighted in the reviews is that the community is "pet friendly." This is a significant advantage for RV travelers who often bring their animal companions with them. Knowing that Colonial Mobile Manor welcomes pets can be a deciding factor for those seeking a long-term RV park where their furry friends are also welcome. However, it's important to note that one review mentions specific rules regarding dog walking within the park, stating that it might not be allowed inside the park premises. Prospective residents with pets should inquire about the specific pet policies, including designated walking areas and any restrictions.
While the positive reviews focus on the senior-friendly atmosphere and pet policy, other feedback introduces some important considerations. One reviewer mentions that the park is "owned by this Chinese person, that is in it to make a profit," and while this statement itself is neutral regarding the quality of the park, it precedes comments about various rules and regulations. It's common for mobile home parks to have rules in place to maintain the community's standards and ensure a harmonious living environment. However, the specific rules mentioned warrant careful consideration by potential residents.
The review highlights rules such as "not walking your dog inside the park," which, if strictly enforced, could be a significant drawback for dog owners, especially those with mobility issues. The comment that "if your handicap and/ or don't have a car you are up a creek" suggests potential limitations regarding accessibility and transportation within and around the park. This is a crucial point for senior residents or those with disabilities who may rely on walking or public transportation. Investigating the park's layout, proximity to public transport, and internal accessibility is advisable.
Furthermore, the review mentions restrictions on personal vehicle maintenance, stating that residents "can't wash your car in your own driveway, and can't work on your car." These types of rules are not uncommon in residential communities to maintain aesthetics and prevent noise or environmental concerns. However, for RV owners who are accustomed to maintaining their vehicles, these restrictions could be inconvenient. Understanding the park's policies on vehicle maintenance and washing is essential before making a decision.
On a more positive note, another reviewer mentions that the "Pool is warm and nice." Access to a swimming pool can be a significant amenity, especially in the warm climate of San Jose, providing a recreational option and a place to relax for residents. The positive description suggests that this amenity is well-maintained and enjoyable.
In terms of environment, the address on Narvaez Ave in San Jose places Colonial Mobile Manor within a suburban setting. Potential residents would need to research the surrounding neighborhood to assess its proximity to essential services such as grocery stores, pharmacies, medical facilities, and recreational areas. The overall ambiance of the park itself is not extensively described in the provided reviews, so a visit to the location would be beneficial to get a firsthand impression of the environment, landscaping, and overall upkeep.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the customer reviews. However, based on the feedback, Colonial Mobile Manor could emphasize its strengths, such as its senior-friendly environment with organized activities in the clubhouse, its pet-friendly policy (while clarifying any specific rules), and the presence of a warm and nice pool. For attracting long-term RV residents, they might highlight the stability of a residential community compared to short-term RV parks and the potential for a more integrated social life, particularly for seniors.
To obtain a comprehensive understanding of Colonial Mobile Manor and its suitability for long-term RV living, especially for seniors, it is crucial to contact the park management directly using the provided phone numbers. Inquiries should cover the availability of RV spaces, the length of stay permitted, the monthly fees and any additional charges, the amenities available to residents (including hookups for water, electricity, and sewage), the specific rules and regulations of the park (especially regarding pets, vehicle maintenance, and accessibility), and any specific provisions or services for senior residents. A visit to the park would also allow prospective residents to assess the environment, the clubhouse facilities, and the overall atmosphere of the community.
In conclusion, Colonial Mobile Manor in San Jose appears to be a mobile home park with a strong emphasis on creating a welcoming environment for seniors, as indicated by the positive feedback regarding the clubhouse and activities. Its pet-friendly policy is also a notable feature. However, potential residents, especially those considering long-term RV living, should carefully consider the rules and regulations mentioned in the reviews, particularly those concerning pet walking, vehicle maintenance, and accessibility. Direct communication with the park management is essential to gather all necessary information and determine if Colonial Mobile Manor aligns with individual needs and preferences for a long-term stay in the San Jose area.

Apr 06, 2021 · laura ornelasIt's owned by this Chinese person, that is in it to make a profit. Some people have been here for years. Lots of rules, especially about not walking your dog in side the park. If your handicap and/ or don't have a car you are up a creek. Also can't wash your car in your own driveway, and can't work on your car. Highly investigate before you move in.Pool is warm and nice.

Aug 03, 2022 · Sam RohdeMy wife and I have lived here for 11 yrs and in spite of bumping heads with new ownership over severe rent increases and rent control, we are quite satisfied. Management has shown compassion in difficult situations and owner has paid serious attention to park upgrades.
