Searching for "RV parks near me" in the Branson, Missouri area? Compton Ridge RV Park and Lodge, situated at 5322 State Hwy 265, Branson, MO 65616, USA, offers a conveniently located option for RV travelers and those seeking lodging. You can reach them at (417) 332-5007 or +1 417-332-5007 for reservations and inquiries. Based on recent customer reviews, Compton Ridge RV Park and Lodge is under new ownership and is undergoing significant improvements, making it a noteworthy consideration for your Branson visit.
Branson, Missouri, is a renowned entertainment destination offering a wide array of shows, attractions, and outdoor activities. Compton Ridge RV Park and Lodge benefits from its strategic location, nestled "inbetween town and Silver Dollar City." This provides guests with easy access to the thrills of Silver Dollar City, a popular theme park, while also being a convenient "easy 10 minute drive to the strip," where many of Branson's theaters, restaurants, and shops are located. This central positioning is a significant advantage, allowing visitors to experience the best of both worlds without the hassle of long travel times, particularly noting that it avoids the "tight/steep mountain roads" that some other campgrounds in the area require navigating.
Excitingly, recent feedback indicates that Compton Ridge RV Park and Lodge has "NEW OWNERS!!" who have been actively remodeling and revamping the property. One enthusiastic reviewer from a previous visit noted the transformation, mentioning "All new furniture, appliances, wifi 7, etc." in the lodge accommodations. This suggests a significant upgrade in the quality and modernity of the facilities. The reviewer was "very impressed with the amenities and staff," highlighting the positive impact of the new management. Additionally, it's mentioned that they now offer "extended stays in Compton Ridge proper, as well as the RV Park," providing more flexible lodging options for those planning longer visits to the Branson area.
For RVers, one reviewer found the park to be "very small and quiet," which could be a significant draw for those seeking a more peaceful camping experience away from the hustle and bustle of larger, more crowded parks. The site they were on was described as a "good size" and included a valuable feature: a "small picnic table that had a covering over it." While not all sites may have this amenity, it was appreciated for providing a sheltered space. The reviewer also noted that the "very few people that we encountered were friendly," contributing to a pleasant atmosphere. Interestingly, they observed that the "majority of the people there were long term residents," and during their week-long stay, they didn't see any other sites with check-ins or check-outs. This may appeal to those seeking a more stable and less transient environment.
Another potentially appealing aspect for some visitors is the apparent absence of children during the reviewer's stay, noting, "this campground appeared to have zero children in it. It was nice not having a ton of kids running around and taking over the pool." This could be a significant selling point for adults seeking a quiet and child-free environment.
In terms of essential services, the reviewer reported "no problems with the water, sewer and electric services," indicating reliable and functional hookups for RVs. The "concrete pad was very level and easy to park on," which is always appreciated by RVers for ease of setup and stability.
However, it's important to present a balanced view. One reviewer, while acknowledging the prime location as the "main selling point," also pointed out some of the park's current shortcomings. They described the place as "very rundown," noting that "the pool and bathrooms were as clean as they could be given how ancient they are." This suggests that while cleanliness is maintained, the facilities themselves may be outdated and in need of further renovation. The pool, advertised as heated, was reported as not being heated during their visit.
Regarding connectivity, while "wifi is available," it was described as "extremely slow." However, the reviewer noted having "fantastic Verizon cell service at the site," which mitigated the need for the park's Wi-Fi. This is an important consideration for those who rely on internet access during their travels.
Despite the areas needing improvement, the reviewer concluded that "if you just want a safe and quiet place to park for a few days while enjoying Branson, this is a great option." They also mentioned that some residents had informed them about the new owners and management who have already "made some improvements this season," expressing hope that they will "continue to invest in this park and keep improving it." This suggests a positive outlook for the future of Compton Ridge RV Park and Lodge. The reviewer stated they "would consider coming back based primarily on its location," indicating that the convenience outweighs the current drawbacks for them.
Based on these reviews, Compton Ridge RV Park and Lodge offers a compelling combination of a fantastic location near Branson's main attractions and the promise of ongoing improvements under new ownership. While some facilities may be dated, the park is described as clean, quiet, and managed by seemingly proactive owners. The availability of extended stays in both the RV park and the lodge adds to its appeal for various types of visitors.

Compton Ridge RV Park and Lodge Reviews
NEW OWNERS!! Totally remodeled and revamped from my last visit. All new furniture, appliances, wifi 7, etc. beautiful little spot inbetween town and Silver Dollar City. Very impressed with the amenities and staff. Apparently they now offer extended stays in Compton Ridge proper, as well as the RV Park. If you are planning a trip to Branson, this is an awesome place to sleep.
Feb 05, 2025 · Isaiah EdgerWas this the best campground I have ever been to? No. Was it the worst? Also no. This park is very small and quiet. It's located very close to Silver Dollar City and an easy 10 minute drive to the strip. We were thankful to not have to pull our RV up and down some tight/steep mountain roads to get to some of the other campgrounds in town. The location really is it's main selling point. Now for the not so great things. This place is very rundown. The pool and bathrooms were as clean as they could be given how ancient they are. The pool is advertised as heated but I can assure you it was not this past week. The site we were on was a good size with a small picnic table that had a covering over it. Not all sites have a covered table but it was nice to have a place to keep things out of the rain. The very few people that we encountered were friendly. Majority of the people there were long term residents. For the week that we were there I don't believe a single other site had someone check in or out. This may not be a selling point for everyone, but this campground appeared to have zero children in it. It was nice not having a ton of kids running around and taking over the pool. There is wifi available but it is extremely slow. I had fantastic Verizon cell service at the site so there was no need for the wifi. No problems with the water, sewer and electric services. The concrete pad was very level and easy to park on.If you come here expecting a first class luxury campground you will be extremely disappointed. If you just want a safe and quiet place to park for a few days while enjoying Branson, this is a great option. Some of the residents told us that there's new owners and management in the park who have made some improvements this season. I really hope that they continue to invest in this park and keep improving it. There's not any one thing that needs an expensive major overhaul, just a lot of little things that could really improve the experience. We would consider coming back based primarily on its location.
Jun 08, 2024 · Victoria MitchellSmall RV park with small lodge close to Silver Dollar City. Making a reservation was simple and I was given good instruction on where to hook up and how to check. You check in at the resort next door, but since I knew that ahead of time it wasn’t a problem. There was a small mix-up with our spot when we got there but Theresa fixed it right away. Lots here range in size and have full hook-ups. Great location to be if your are going to Silver Dollar City. Billy Gail’s and Ozark Mountain Pizza are within walking distance and the lodge next door will deliver Hunts Brother Pizza to you as well. Full restrooms and shower’s available
Oct 28, 2023 · Cami WardI really enjoyed my stay here, Connie is Awesome and the kindest ever! The beds were clean and comfy the view are Gorgeous, and the breakfast across the street was just like my grandmother way of cooking!! I will definitely be staying again. Its the perfect little nook hidden on the edge of town great privacy!! Also its right around the corner from Silver Dollar City!
Dec 03, 2021 · Hill BWe stayed here for a week in October 2020 and it was great. Nobody bothered us. We had plenty of privacy. There was fresh towels left outside our door every morning. Any time we needed anything they were both eager to help. We felt very welcome and the bed was great! The very best part of our whole stay was that our dog was welcome. They weren't really friendly to him but you could tell he was welcome. When our tv wouldn't work they very quickly replaced it. I have to say it was very musty smelling but a candle took care of that's. I'm glad we chose Compton Ridge.
