Country Village Manufactured Home Community Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" or exploring manufactured home communities in the Orange City, Florida area, Country Village Manufactured Home Community, located at 2252 Hollowridge Dr, Orange City, FL 32763, USA, presents a complex picture based on recent customer reviews. This introduction aims to provide local users with a detailed and objective overview of Country Village, highlighting both positive and negative feedback to help you make an informed decision.
One recent review offers a highly critical assessment of Country Village, stating that the park and its management are "not only shabby but with very very very very very bad attitude and abusive towards seniors." This is a serious accusation that potential residents should carefully consider. Allegations of abusive behavior towards seniors are particularly concerning and could indicate a potentially hostile or disrespectful living environment for older residents.
The same reviewer also criticizes the ownership, RHP properties, for allegedly "hiding behind a wall of uninvolvement." This suggests a perceived lack of accountability or responsiveness from the higher management level to the concerns of the residents within the community. Such a lack of involvement from ownership can be a significant drawback if issues arise that require their attention or intervention.
Adding to these concerns, the reviewer raises a significant issue regarding payment policies, specifically "the automatic withdrawal from your checking account for rent." They claim that this system is "abused and very difficult to stop" and that the management "will not allow it." Furthermore, they allege that there are threats of foreclosure for residents who attempt to discontinue automatic withdrawals. Such restrictive and punitive payment policies can create significant financial stress and a sense of being trapped for residents.
In stark contrast to this highly negative feedback, another reviewer who reports having lived in Country Village for "10+ years" offers a positive perspective. This long-term resident describes it as a "well maintained park" and praises the manager, Vicki, for putting on "wonderful events every month." They also state that "Management and maintenance do a great job addressing any concerns" and that "You can tell she takes pride in her community." This positive review highlights the potential for a well-kept environment and an engaging community atmosphere fostered by the on-site manager.
Considering the platform category "RV parks near me," Country Village is identified as a manufactured home community. While primarily focused on long-term residents living in manufactured homes, some such communities may also offer limited facilities or spaces for RVs, particularly for short-term visitors of residents or potentially on a longer-term basis in designated areas. The available information does not explicitly confirm whether Country Village accommodates RVs. Individuals seeking RV parks in the Orange City area would need to inquire directly to ascertain if RV sites are available and what amenities are provided for RV guests.
The significant disparity between the two reviews presents a challenge in forming a definitive picture of Country Village Manufactured Home Community. The positive review from a long-term resident suggests a well-maintained environment and a proactive on-site manager who organizes community events and addresses concerns effectively. This could indicate a positive day-to-day living experience for some residents.
However, the highly critical review raises serious red flags regarding the attitude and behavior of management towards seniors, the lack of involvement from the ownership, and potentially abusive payment policies. These allegations, if accurate, could significantly detract from the quality of life within the community and create a stressful and negative environment for residents.
Potential local users considering Country Village as a place to live, whether in a manufactured home or potentially in an RV, should carefully weigh these conflicting accounts. The positive aspects of maintenance and community events, as reported by a long-term resident, are appealing. However, the serious allegations of abuse, uninvolved ownership, and restrictive financial policies cannot be ignored and warrant thorough investigation.
To obtain a more balanced and current understanding of Country Village Manufactured Home Community, it is strongly recommended that potential residents or visitors attempt to gather information from multiple sources. This could include contacting the park management directly to address the concerns raised in the negative review and to inquire about their policies and practices. Additionally, if possible, speaking with current residents (beyond those who have left online reviews) could provide further insights into the living conditions and the overall atmosphere of the community.

Located at 2252 Hollowridge Dr, Orange City, FL 32763, USA, Country Village's location in Orange City offers access to local amenities and services. However, the internal environment and management practices appear to be areas requiring careful consideration based on the contrasting resident feedback.
In conclusion, Country Village Manufactured Home Community in Orange City, Florida, presents a community that at least one long-term resident finds well-maintained with engaging community events and responsive on-site management. However, another recent review paints a starkly different picture, alleging shabby conditions, abusive behavior towards seniors by management, uninvolved ownership, and problematic automatic rent withdrawal policies with threats of foreclosure. Potential residents should exercise extreme caution, thoroughly investigate these conflicting reports, and seek current and comprehensive information before making any decisions about living in this community or considering it for RV stays (if permitted).

Oct 28, 2024 · rich leeLived here for 10+ years. It's a well maintained park and the manager Vicki puts on wonderful events every month. Management and maintenance do a great job addressing any concerns. You can tell she takes pride in her community .
Jun 21, 2024 · Jackie WhartonNice clean park with no complaints. Yeah rent goes up, so does the cost for Country Village to maintain this community. I've seen other mobile home communities with rent over $1000 a month.
Jul 25, 2024 · donald buddy bernardGrandpa has lived here for years. They have fully given up on the golf course and the old people. They don't mow, they don't fix pot holes for 3 years. They price gouge the old people because they don't know. Garbage owners and a human rights violation. It's literally a Florida golf course with no golf course. There were also wild pigs in this community for a bit and one killed a cat.
Aug 05, 2023 · Alexander OaksI have enjoyed living in Country Village the last 10 months. The community rules seem fair and the residents are friendly. I am happy there is a homeowners' association to help negotiate any issues or concerns that may arise. I do wish the roads were in better condition.
