Orange City Introduce
For local recreational vehicle owners and travelers exploring the Orange City, Florida area and searching for "RV parks near me," Orange City RV Park, located at 2300 E Graves Ave, Orange City, FL 32763, USA, presents itself as an option for accommodation. To provide a detailed and objective introduction for local users, it's essential to consider all available information, including the positive aspects highlighted in one review and the significant environmental concerns raised in another.
One customer review offers positive feedback on several aspects of Orange City RV Park:
- Cleanliness: The reviewer specifically mentioned a "clean bathhouse," which is a significant factor for comfort and hygiene in any RV park. This suggests that the park management prioritizes the upkeep of its restroom facilities.
- Laundry Facilities: The presence of a "great laundry facility" is also noted, providing a valuable amenity for both short-term and long-term guests who need to take care of their laundry needs on-site.
- Friendly and Efficient Staff: The reviewer praised the staff, describing them as "very nice" and specifically commending the "girls in the office" for making the check-in process "quick and smooth." Positive interactions with staff can greatly enhance the overall guest experience.
- Location: The park is described as "great" and "tucked away in Orange City," suggesting a potentially peaceful and convenient location within the area. This could appeal to local users seeking a quiet retreat with easy access to the amenities and attractions of Orange City.
However, another, more detailed review from a long-term resident (of approximately 30 years prior to the current management) raises serious concerns regarding potential environmental issues, specifically flooding, and the management's response to these issues:
- Flooding Concerns During Rainy Season: The reviewer strongly advises against visiting during the rainy season in Florida, indicating a propensity for flooding within the park. While acknowledging that the park is "accommodating," the core issue of flooding is presented as a significant drawback.
- Alleged Contribution of Concrete Pads to Flooding: The reviewer claims that the current management's policy of "filling this park with large concrete pads" has "contributed to the excess flooding" that residents have been experiencing. This is a serious accusation suggesting that recent infrastructure changes might have negatively impacted the park's drainage and increased flood risk.
- Perceived Lack of Concern from Management: A significant point of concern is the reviewer's assertion that the management does not "show any concern for those who have been flooded" and intends to "continue to add to the problem they assisted in causing" by further development with concrete pads. This paints a picture of a management team that is unresponsive to the needs and concerns of residents affected by flooding.
- Alleged Warnings Ignored: The reviewer states that the management was "warned many times what would happen but refuse to listen," implying a disregard for local knowledge and potential environmental consequences of their development decisions.
- Sympathy for Hurricane Victims: The reviewer concludes with "My prayers go out to those effected by the hurricane!" This comment, while expressing empathy for a broader situation, also implicitly underscores the vulnerability of the area to significant rainfall and potential water issues, further highlighting the concerns about flooding within the RV park.
Given these contrasting reviews, local users considering Orange City RV Park need to weigh the positive feedback regarding cleanliness, staff, and location against the serious environmental concerns and allegations of management negligence related to flooding. The long-term resident's perspective, based on years of experience at the park, carries significant weight, especially concerning the potential impact of management decisions on the park's environment.
While the first review mentions a "great laundry facility," neither review provides a comprehensive list of all services and features offered at Orange City RV Park. Based on general knowledge of RV parks, local users might expect some or all of the following:
- RV Sites with Hookups: These typically include connections for water, electricity (likely 30 and 50 amp service), and possibly sewer. The size and type of sites (e.g., pull-through, back-in) can vary.
- Bathhouse: The "clean bathhouse" mentioned in the review suggests the availability of restroom and shower facilities for guests.
- Laundry Facilities: The "great laundry facility" indicates the presence of washers and dryers for guest use.
- Potable Water and Waste Disposal: Access to fresh drinking water and a dump station for RV black and gray water tanks are standard necessities.
- Wi-Fi Access: Many RV parks offer Wi-Fi for guests to stay connected. It's worth inquiring if this is available at Orange City RV Park and if there are any associated costs or limitations.
- Recreational Amenities: Depending on the park, other amenities might include a pool, playground, picnic tables, BBQ grills, or pet-friendly areas. The reviews do not mention these specifically for Orange City RV Park.
- Security: While not explicitly mentioned, basic security measures such as lighting and on-site presence are common in RV parks.

For local RV owners in the Orange City area searching for "RV parks near me," Orange City RV Park offers a convenient location and reportedly clean facilities and friendly staff. However, the serious allegations regarding flooding during the rainy season and the management's alleged lack of concern are significant red flags that should not be ignored. Potential guests should exercise caution and thoroughly investigate these issues before making a booking, especially if planning a stay during the wetter months.
In conclusion, Orange City RV Park in Orange City, FL, receives positive feedback for its cleanliness, staff, and location. However, a concerning review from a long-term resident raises serious issues about potential flooding exacerbated by recent park developments and a perceived lack of management concern for affected residents. Local users are strongly advised to contact the park directly at (386) 775-2545 or +1 386-775-2545 to inquire specifically about the flooding situation and the management's response, in addition to the standard inquiries about rates, amenities, and availability, before making a decision about staying at this park.

Orange City Reviews
Great park tucked away in Orange City. Clean bathhouse, great laundry facility. Very nice staff, the girls in the office made everything quick and smooth.
Jan 29, 2025 · Valerie ChaffinI've lived in. Orange city RV and resort for about 30 years before presant management took over. I recommend not visiting during rainy season in fla. Although they are accommodating. Unfortunately they don't understand that filling this park with large concrete pads. Have contributed to the excess flooding Their residents have been witnessing... They don't show any concern for those who have been flooded. And expect to continue to add to the problem they assisted in causing. They were warned many times what would happen but refuse to listen... My prayers go out to those effected by the hurricane!
Oct 11, 2024 · Don CoxI have lived here for almost a year with my husband and we absolutely love it here the staff is wonderful and friendly and they will go above and beyond. It is a pet friendly park and there’s a pool hot tub and Playground for the kids. And the manager is just fantastic she is the sweetest person and so helpful.
May 01, 2024 · Jenna EvansReviewing as a full timer, for the record: 99% of the other residents that I have met here have been incredibly friendly. I think my favorite thing has been meeting local children that all seem to look out for one another. That feels really rare to find these days. The office staff go above and beyond to make it feel welcoming and assist guests in my experience. Maybe it’s due to working in customer service, but the simple fact That I can call up to the front office and always receive an answer to a question is something I value as a first timer more than I can word.I have spectrum Internet -and it’s functioning perfectly for me to work from home with. It’s right down the road from the largest Walmart I’ve seen and a Home Home Depot and has two Publix within a 15 minute drive. There’s a Wawa on the corner. It’s a great location for a lot of things, including Starvos - a Mom and Pop restaurant - across the street. Most importantly, I feel safe here Due to cameras and an active amount of effort from the staff to be present and aware of what Is going on in the park.
Aug 30, 2024 · Lisa JoWe stayed there for a few months sadly we had to leave and be back in New York on short notice. Our site was located in a quiet area, surprisingly, as we were on a corner. The showers were always amazing and never ran outta hot water. Loved the fact that there were washers and dryers available 24 hours in one area as well. Was sad when we 1st got there that they had removed the dog park area as others weren't cleaning up after their pets. However, that took us to finding the Keysville dog park not far away, huge fenced in areas. We loved that the park allowed our senior dogs to stay, as that was a huge need for us.The staff were amazingly super nice I loved feeling comfortable to ask questions ( I had a bunch). We are gonna miss the neighbors we had lots as they made us feel extra welcome. The 1st morning 1 had gotten a gator and invited us to see it. Sooo cool for us. Others were just extra nice and friendly. I miss the little lizards, the flowers and other plants already. We hope to visit again in the future and maybe I will be able to enjoy the heated pool, or other amenities. I recommend this park for short or long term. Thank you Melissa, Sharon, and especially Danielle and Stephanie as I enjoyed our random chats. But the rest of the staff as well for making our stay pleasant.
