While traditionally a mobile home community, the positive changes suggest a welcoming atmosphere and enhanced amenities that could also benefit those seeking a long-term RV location within a well-maintained environment.
Recent reviews from residents who have lived in Cypress Village for several years highlight a remarkable transformation since new owners and management took over. One long-term resident of approximately six years notes that "Since the new owners took over things have become A LOT better." This significant statement is further supported by specific improvements such as "The pool and clubhouse are clean and usable, the roads are good to drive, and I'm not scared to walk my dogs or embarrassed to say I live here anymore." This indicates a substantial positive shift in the overall environment and community pride.
Another resident who has lived there since 2018 provides a detailed account of the conditions under previous management and the subsequent improvements. Initially, the streets were described as "terrible" with potholes so severe that pizza delivery was impossible. There were also issues with "burned out and abandoned houses" and dangerous overhanging trees. The neighborhood had a reputation for drug activity, and on-site management was virtually non-existent. This paints a picture of a community facing significant challenges.
However, the review emphatically states that "Since the new owners and the new management has taken over there has been a vast improvement." Key improvements mentioned include:
- Roads: "All the roads are now drivable and have been completely repaved not just patched." This directly addresses a major infrastructure concern and suggests a commitment to resident safety and comfort, which is crucial for navigating with an RV as well.
- Safety and Aesthetics: "The dangerous trees have been removed and/or trimmed back. Before new management the neighborhood did have a reputation of having a lot of drug dealers living here. Since the new management those people have been removed." This indicates a focus on safety and improving the overall living environment.
- Amenities: "The clubhouse hadn't been used or opened in years, I have seen the inside of it now that the new owners have taken over and it is beautiful and will finally be able to be used by the residents again. ... Also for the first time since I moved here this summer we will be able to actually use the pool!" The revitalization of community amenities like the clubhouse and pool significantly enhances the quality of life for all residents, including those in RVs.
- Management: "Now we have on-site management and maintenance and whenever you call they answer right away or if they can't they get right back to you immediately. Definitely a great improvement from when I first moved here." Responsive and on-site management is a significant benefit for any long-term resident, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly and efficiently. The reviewers specifically mention Mandy, Ken, and Nathan as being "fantastic" and "so nice" and readily available to help.
- Community Engagement: "Another great thing that the new manager does on the holidays she leaves a greeting card at each resident's door. ... She also decorates the office and the office grounds for each holiday and for Halloween and Christmas we actually had a contest for who had the best decorations. She really goes out to do things for the neighborhood and the community to make it a good place to live." These personal touches indicate a management team that is invested in fostering a positive and engaging community spirit.

Cypress Village Mobile Home Community Reviews
We have been here for about 6 years. Since the new owners took over things have become A LOT better. The pool and clubhouse are clean and usable, the roads are good to drive, and I'm not scared to walk my dogs or embarrassed to say I live here anymore. Also Mandy, Ken & Nathan are fantastic. If I need anything they are there at the drop of a hat and so nice about it. They've definitely made living in a trailer community great.
Jul 11, 2024 · Audrey DavisI've lived here since 2018. When we first moved here the streets were terrible. Dodging the pot holes was like an obstacle course. It was so bad the pizza places wouldn't deliver to our house, we had to meet them at the office. There were burned out and abandoned houses all throughout the neighborhood and trees that overhung houses causing a danger whenever we had a severe storm. I myself personally fought former management for 6 months to get them to trim back the trees hanging over my house. There were also a lot of undesirables that lived here. Since the new owners and the new management has taken over there has been a vast improvement. All the roads are now drivable and have been completely repaved not just patched. The dangerous trees have been removed and/or trimmed back. Before new management the neighborhood did have a reputation of having a lot of drug dealers living here. Since the new management those people have been removed. The clubhouse hadn't been used or opened in years, I have seen the inside of it now that the new owners have taken over and it is beautiful and will finally be able to be used by the residents again. There was never anybody on site if you needed anything The former property management lived in another state and you could very rarely get a response. Now we have on-site management and maintenance and whenever you call they answer right away or if they can't they get right back to you immediately. Definitely a great improvement from when I first moved here. Also for the first time since I moved here this summer we will be able to actually use the pool! Another great thing that the new manager does on the holidays she leaves a greeting card at each resident's door. It may not seem like it but that says and means a lot. She also decorates the office and the office grounds for each holiday and for Halloween and Christmas we actually had a contest for who had the best decorations. She really goes out to do things for the neighborhood and the community to make it a good place to live.
Feb 22, 2024 · Dana CarpenterI have lived here for almost a year and have had nothing but the best experience since moving from Shreveport area. Many years ago this tailer park was beat down and not safe for anyone to live in. The streets were full of giant pot holes and trashy trailers everywhere with piles of trash with some sketchy people living there at the time. Now it is a community park were it looks nice and neat fixed streets, nice trailers , and nice people. I have nothing but good things to say about this park and could go on forever about it. Iook forward to living here for a long time. Definitely should come look into living here.
Jun 26, 2024 · Nicholas GipsonMy family moved here in 2012. The park has honestly never look better. It has become a clean, safe, respectable community. The roads are repaired, there's a park, and the pool and clubhouse should be ready this summer. It's also nice having a staff that lives local, when you need assistance it's always available.
Feb 02, 2024 · Mrs. Chavez LopezI’ve lived here over 10 years. Great community and love what the new owners have done with road repairs and clean up of the park.
