Encore Sunshine Holiday Daytona Introduce
When searching for "camping near me" in the Daytona Beach area, Encore Sunshine Holiday Daytona, located at 1701 US-1, Ormond Beach, FL 32174, USA, is a campground that may appear in your search results. To provide local users with a detailed and objective introduction, it's essential to consider recent feedback from those who have stayed there. The reviews present a somewhat mixed picture, highlighting both the convenience of its location and certain areas that appear to need attention. You can contact Encore Sunshine Holiday Daytona at (386) 672-3045 or +1 386-672-3045 for more information or to make inquiries.
The environment surrounding Encore Sunshine Holiday Daytona benefits from its proximity to both Daytona Beach and Flagler Beach. Ormond Beach itself offers a more laid-back coastal atmosphere compared to the bustling Daytona Beach. The campground's location on US-1 suggests accessibility. However, the reviews provide more insight into the internal environment of the campground. One reviewer mentioned encountering garbage and dog feces on their site upon arrival, indicating a potential lack of thorough site preparation between guests. Another concern raised was the presence of many long-term campers with sites described as "run down or garbage filled," which could detract from the overall aesthetic appeal of the campground. While one reviewer found the campground "fine," these comments suggest that the visual environment within the resort might be inconsistent.
In terms of services and features, the recent feedback highlights some significant issues. A major drawback reported by one guest was that the pool was out of service for their entire stay, and they noted that recent reviews indicated it had been down for months. This would be a significant disappointment for visitors hoping to enjoy this common campground amenity. Additionally, the bathrooms were described as "pretty run down and/or broken," suggesting that the upkeep of these essential facilities may be lacking. On a more positive note, one reviewer described it as a "nice Encore campground" and felt that it was "clean and felt safe," implying that basic cleanliness and security were adequate, at least in their experience. However, the discrepancies between the two reviews suggest that the quality of amenities and maintenance might be inconsistent or that different guests have varying standards. The lack of mention of specific recreational facilities beyond the pool makes it difficult to assess the full range of services offered. The presence of long-term campers might suggest the availability of extended stay options.
Considering the category "camping near me," Encore Sunshine Holiday Daytona offers a location that is convenient to popular Florida beaches like Daytona and Flagler. This could be a significant draw for those wanting to explore these coastal areas. However, the reported issues with site cleanliness upon arrival, the condition of some long-term sites, the inoperable pool (potentially for an extended period), and the state of the bathrooms are factors that potential local users should seriously consider. While one reviewer found it "fine," the other's experience suggests that there are maintenance and management issues that could impact the quality of a stay.
There is no promotional information provided in the reviews. Instead, the feedback focuses on the actual experiences of guests, both positive and negative. The recurring theme of maintenance concerns, particularly regarding the pool and bathrooms, is notable and might deter some potential visitors despite the convenient location.
For local users searching for "camping near me" in the Ormond Beach area, Encore Sunshine Holiday Daytona offers proximity to the beaches. However, the recent reviews indicate potential issues with site cleanliness upon arrival, the appearance of some long-term sites, the unavailability of the pool, and the condition of the bathrooms. While one guest found it "clean and felt safe," it would be wise to weigh these points carefully when considering this campground for your local camping needs.
In summary, Encore Sunshine Holiday Daytona in Ormond Beach, FL, is located conveniently near Daytona and Flagler Beaches. However, recent customer reviews point to concerns regarding site cleanliness upon arrival, the appearance of long-term sites, a non-functional pool (potentially for months), and run-down bathrooms. While one reviewer found it "nice," "clean," and felt safe, the other's experience suggests significant maintenance and preparation issues. Potential visitors should be aware of these reported problems. Contact them at (386) 672-3045 for the most current information.

Encore Sunshine Holiday Daytona Reviews
Upon arrival we had to clear the site of garbage and dog feces so that we could hookup without tracking anything inside. We wish someone would have checked out the site before our arrival especially since checkout is at 11 and check in isn’t until 2.Overall the campground is fine but there are certainly issues that need to be addressed. There are a lot of long term campers that have run down or garbage filled sites. Everyone should be expected to maintain a certain appearance in order to stay at a resort. The pool was down our entire stay and based on recent reviews it had been for months. The bathrooms were pretty run down and/or broken. Makes Encore look like they don’t have enough money or money management to maintain their grounds. Where is all of the money going? Camping hasn’t been getting any less expensive by any means and there are more of us out here now than ever.
Nov 26, 2024 · MC GoodrichNice Encore campground near Daytona and Flagler Beach. Yeah, it's not exclusive 5 star resort it's a campground. Clean and felt safe.
Apr 21, 2025 · Randy ReedBy far the worst Encore experience yet, and there have been some very questionable RV parks in past stays with Encore. Didn’t even stay-canceled reservation. Made my reservation months in advance for a 7 day stay, 30amp full-hookup. Arrived, staff was pleasant to start with, and gave me my spot. Drove to the site, all while remembering the large sign as I came in saying “not responsible for power surges or lightning.” Yup, not a problem, I always use a surge protector. So, arrive at the site, plug in surge protector and immediately get an error stating a ground fault. Walked back to the front office, advised them of the situation, they said they would send a maintenance person out immediately; which they did. Nice gentleman checked the power and confirmed that there was a common wire that went to ground. I stated that I wasn’t able to hook up due to my surge protector reading a fault. He said yeah, the park is pretty old and there’s nothing he can really do about it. Now I walk back to the office for a second time to explain the situation, very calmly, and ask for another site. One of the ladies then states we don’t have any more sites, you’ll have to call Thousand Trails. That was it, no thinking out of the box, no can we assist you, it was just basically you’re shit out of luck. I asked to speak to the manager and a few other ladies in the office started working trying to blend different sites together to get a full seven days straight. They came up with another site which the Manager drove me to, and it was not much wider than my trailer and slightly shorter than the length of my 33’, in between two run down permanent mobile homes, an absolute atrocious site. The Manager said we could go back to the office and keep working on another site for me. All along I’m remaining calm, trying to understand how these things happen and waiting for another assignment. After being given a third site, I walked to that number and found that it was occupied. I decided this time to call the front office and calmly let them know the situation. They informed me that they were sending two people out immediately, which I can only assume they were going to evict the person, mind you it’s around 3pm. I remained on the phone and I was going to ask another question when I was rudely and abruptly hung up on. At that point, I knew I had had enough and that this was just gonna be a nightmare park. I calmly walked into the manager‘s office, explained the situation & he was baffled that any of his staff would’ve hung up on me. I requested the permission to sit in his parking lot while I got on my computer and tried to find an RV park that had an open site, on a Sunday afternoon, just as Daytona bike weekend was ending; which he kindly approved. I hope you read this to the end and take head, I am sure Encore will just give a computer generated response saying thank you for your comment, we will do better. The park knows the electrical issues, it HAS to be common knowledge, I’m certain I’m not the first person to run into this situation. Well, I hope this actually reaches a real person and they actually do, do better.Additional: If you find yourself sitting in their parking lot on a Sunday afternoon, trying to find an rv spot. I highly suggest BULOW RV park, about 10 minutes up 95. Wonderful, clean, spacious park. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but it’s an Encore park.
Mar 13, 2025 · John AThis is a great location, not too far away from Daytona but enough out of the way to not be downtown. Can easily take the 1 to downtown or get on the 95 and hit up Bucc-ee’s. Would come back to stay again.
Feb 27, 2025 · Brianna Pottschmidt (Bri)Encore RV Resorts, please do better, and campers beware. We are without water on average twice a week here and given BS reasons each time, crappy water quality, pool out for almost 3 months and still paying the same monthly ($844 + $175 on average for power). Sad dog park-mostly dirt- I don't take my dog there due to contamination risk (worms, parasites), 1 foot tall ant mounds in children's playground (office said residents are responsible for pest control in the common areas. My 2 year old and I almost got eaten alive yesterday by a mound we tripped on), crappy washers/dryers behind campground office- company's (Commerical Laundries, Inc.) customer service is literally non-existent- dryers have burned several of my kid's blankets and clothing, outdated clubhouse (Hub) crappy, bumpy, not maintained road near fence line by our lot & many others'. The tree company that came to trim the pine trees and cut the downed trees last week after Hurricane Milton, literally cut 1 small branch over our RV and left. The "landscapers" just blow leaves and acorns onto our lot instead of cutting the overgrown grass. I could go on and on.We are the most laid back family- we never complain, but this place has seriously gone down hill quick in the past 3 months. Side note- we absolutely love our neighbors and dog friends- that's all that's keeping us here.Dawn, Missy, and Wayne from the front office are awesome employees and individuals in general and are not responsible for any of this mess. It's out of their control. It's on corporate. Pure negligence & greed.
