Dorries Mobile Home & RV Park Introduce
Are you searching for an affordable and conveniently located “RV park near me” in Valliant, Oklahoma? Consider Dorries Mobile Home & RV Park, situated in Valliant, OK 74764, USA. This park offers both RV and mobile home accommodations and has received mixed but informative reviews regarding its location, amenities, and management. You can reach them for inquiries at (580) 933-2076 or +1 580-933-2076.
One of the most significant advantages of Dorries Mobile Home & RV Park, as highlighted by a reviewer, is its prime location directly across from the mill. This is a major plus for individuals working at the mill, as it offers an incredibly short commute, with one guest mentioning it was only a 1-mile distance for them. This proximity can lead to considerable savings in time and transportation costs for those employed nearby.
The affordability of Dorries Mobile Home & RV Park is another key benefit mentioned by a guest. The weekly rate was reported to be $100, and the monthly rate $400. These rates suggest a budget-friendly option for both short-term and potentially longer-term stays, making it attractive for travelers and those seeking temporary housing for work or other reasons.
The owner of the park is described as a "Nice man" who provides helpful services such as picking up trash each morning and checking on the premises. This level of personal attention from the owner can contribute to a sense of security and care within the park. The fact that the guest felt their belongings were safe and undisturbed ("we could leave our stuff and no one messed with a thing. Safe!") is a significant positive aspect.
Dorries Mobile Home & RV Park offers essential facilities for its guests, including a "nice laundry and wash shower facility." However, one reviewer noted that these facilities are not regularly cleaned by staff, stating, "It's not cleaned so we clean our shower before using it." This suggests that while the amenities are available, guests may need to take personal responsibility for their cleanliness before use. The reviewer attributed the mess in the bathroom to other inconsiderate park occupants ("The other people in the park leave the mess and cigarette butts in the bathroom so that is a shame on theme for not being more considerate"). Despite this, the reviewer, noting the park appeared "new" and "up to date," didn't mind using cleaner themselves.
The park is described as "not busy except for shut down time" at the mill. This indicates that it generally offers a quieter atmosphere, which can be appealing to those seeking a peaceful stay. The reviewer who stayed for a week felt it was a "good place to stay" and appreciated that the owner "makes sure no trouble is here" and has "camaras for safety," further reinforcing the sense of security.
However, another review presents a contrasting perspective regarding the owner's attitude, stating, "the owner is attitude do not try to talk to them on their day off they will not respond on the day they do work I've tried I've been disrespected." This raises concerns about the consistency of the owner's demeanor and responsiveness to residents. The same reviewer also mentioned being told the park was "going to shut down soon any way due to health violation," which, if accurate, would be a significant factor for potential long-term residents to consider. This claim of a potential shutdown due to health violations warrants further investigation and verification.
The first reviewer mentioned some environmental drawbacks, noting that "the highway is loud but we use a fan" and that a "train goes though at night." These sources of noise could be a concern for light sleepers and are important factors to consider when evaluating the park's suitability for one's needs. Using a fan to mitigate highway noise was a personal solution employed by one guest.
Despite these mixed reviews, the first guest concluded that the park is "great for the job and travel type folks" due to its affordability and proximity to the mill. This suggests that for individuals prioritizing these factors, Dorries Mobile Home & RV Park could be a viable option.
Information regarding specific promotional offers is not available in the provided reviews. For local users searching for “RV parks near me” in Valliant, Oklahoma, Dorries Mobile Home & RV Park offers an affordable option with weekly and monthly rates. Its location directly across from the mill is a significant advantage for mill employees. The owner is reported to be nice and ensures a degree of safety with trash pickup and security cameras. However, potential guests should be aware of the reported highway and train noise, the need for self-cleaning of the bathroom/shower facilities, and the conflicting feedback regarding the owner's attitude and the alleged potential shutdown due to health violations. It is advisable to inquire about the current status of the park and address any concerns directly with the owner before making a decision.
In conclusion, Dorries Mobile Home & RV Park presents a budget-friendly and conveniently located option, particularly for those working at the nearby mill. While it offers essential amenities like laundry and showers and a sense of safety, potential residents should weigh these benefits against the reported noise issues, the need for self-cleaning of facilities, and the conflicting accounts of the owner's demeanor and the park's future. Direct communication with the owner is crucial to obtain the most accurate information and determine if Dorries Mobile Home & RV Park meets your specific needs and expectations.

Dorries Mobile Home & RV Park Reviews
Ok I'm going to say this first, this is right across from the mill so that is the first plus. My husband got a job here and it's a 1 mile distance for us. 100 a week or 400 a month. Nice man that owns it. Picks up our trash each morning and checks on the place. It's quiet and we could leave our stuff and no one messed with a thing. Safe! There is a nice laundry and wash shower facility. It's not cleaned so we clean our shower before using it. The couple is older but this place is new from what I can tell and up to date so I don't mind using cleaner. The other people in the park leave the mess and cigarette butts in the bathroom so that is a shame on theme for not being more considerate. It's not busy except for shut down time. We been here a week and feel it's a good place to stay. I like the place and he makes sure no trouble is here. Has camaras for safety. Our drive from home is over an hour one way so it's even a great thing for us to stay here. Affordable and only downside is the highway is loud but we use a fan. Also train goes though at night. It's great for the job and travel type folks.
