Elks Mobile Home Park Introduce
Welcome to Elks Mobile Home Park, a community situated at 1989 Mill Rd, Chocowinity, NC 27817, USA. As a destination for those searching under "RV Parks Near Me," Elks Mobile Home Park primarily functions as a mobile home community, offering residences that cater to a more permanent or long-term stay, rather than transient RV camping, though it may occasionally accommodate RVs or manufactured homes for extended periods. For inquiries, you can reach the park via phone at (252) 946-9993 or mobile at +1 252-946-9993.
Elks Mobile Home Park is located in Chocowinity, a town in Eastern North Carolina that offers a blend of rural charm and accessibility to nearby amenities. The park itself is primarily a developed area for manufactured homes, characterized by individual lots that provide residents with their own space. While specific details on communal green spaces or recreational facilities within the park are limited, the broader Chocowinity area provides access to outdoor activities and local attractions. The setting is typical of a manufactured home park, focusing on established residences within a community framework. Residents generally enjoy a sense of neighborhood, as indicated by reviews highlighting spacious lots compared to some other local campgrounds.
As a mobile home park, Elks Mobile Home Park offers plots for manufactured homes, which typically include connections for essential utilities. While the specific utilities provided directly by the park are not exhaustively detailed, it is standard for such communities to offer water, sewer, and electrical hookups. The availability of these services is fundamental to accommodating mobile homes for long-term residency. Management may assist new residents in settling in, as suggested by a positive customer review mentioning assistance with backing into a spot. This indicates a level of on-site support for residents, particularly during the initial setup phase. However, it's also worth noting that some resident responsibilities, such as lawn care, appear to fall to the individual, with an option for the park to provide this service for a fee.
Reviews from past residents offer a mixed perspective on Elks Mobile Home Park. On the positive side, one resident highly recommends the park, praising the kindness of a staff member named Dennis who assisted them. They also noted the "right price" and the advantage of having "more room" compared to a previous local campground, suggesting a good value proposition and comfortable living space for mobile home residents. This indicates that for some, the park offers a welcoming atmosphere and adequate space for their needs.
However, other feedback highlights potential areas for consideration. Some reviews mention "cheap broke down trailers" and issues with maintenance, stating that park management "would fix things sometimes," implying inconsistencies in repair services. Concerns were also raised about the age and condition of some trailers, being described as "hot, old." Furthermore, the policy regarding lawn care is explicitly mentioned: residents are responsible for cutting their own grass, with a $65 fee if the park undertakes this service. This provides clarity on certain resident responsibilities and associated costs.
Another significant point raised in a review is the strictness of the park's policies, with a comment stating they "will kick you out at the drop of a dime." This suggests that the park enforces its rules rigorously, and prospective residents should be sure to understand and adhere to all community guidelines to ensure a harmonious living experience. These varying perspectives underscore the importance of direct communication with park management and a thorough understanding of the terms and conditions before committing to residency.
Given its classification as a mobile home park, Elks Mobile Home Park primarily targets individuals and families seeking affordable, long-term housing solutions in the Chocowinity area. While it may appear in searches for "RV Parks Near Me," its core offering is manufactured home lots rather than transient RV sites for short-term camping. The park's appeal likely lies in its relative affordability and the potential for spacious lots, as noted in positive feedback. It is an option for those looking to establish a more permanent residence in a manufactured home within a community setting. Prospective residents should inquire directly about available lots, home conditions, and all park rules and fees. The park's contact information, (252) 946-9993 or +1 252-946-9993, is the best channel for obtaining the most current and specific details on availability, pricing, and community guidelines.
In summary, Elks Mobile Home Park offers a structured community for manufactured home living in Chocowinity, NC. It provides a more permanent residential option with individual plots. While it caters to those seeking long-term stays, potential residents should weigh both the positive feedback regarding friendly assistance and spacious lots against the concerns raised about trailer conditions and strict policy enforcement. Understanding these aspects will help individuals determine if Elks Mobile Home Park aligns with their housing needs and expectations in the "RV Parks Near Me" or manufactured home categories.

Elks Mobile Home Park Reviews
This man, Dennis, is very kind. He helped us back into our spot. The price is right. We have more room than we previously had at another local campground. I highly recommend.
Apr 09, 2025 · Stephanie Browncheap broke down trailers. They will kick you out at the drop of a dime. They would fix things somes. but there trailers were hot, old. you cut your own grass if you don't it $65 for them to do it.
Aug 24, 2018 · Tulip JohnsonTrailer are full of roaches. They don't die they multiply. These roaches greet you at the door saying hello. The roaches own the trailers. They the ones holding the trailers up. They really don't like fixing anything here.
Apr 29, 2019 · Tika SmithMy girl friends mother and grandmother live there. The "maintenance man" (sam) is a womanizing idiot who wont come over to fix anything but will come over to flirt with my girl friends mom and literally tickle her from behind even when she's said "no". We went over to visit today and we say his son on his moped watching the house and when he saw us see him he rode away very quickly until we went back in and then I saw him do the same thing hiding behind some trees.
Feb 08, 2019 · Aaron PhillipsNice trailers but my only problem is i have a back ground with larcenies and they would rather have people out there with murder and rape charges. And they rather have people out there thay does drugs and builds meth labs than a person with larcenies how well does thats sound
