Frontier RV Camp Ground Introduce
For local travelers and those passing through East Texas searching for "RV parks near me," Frontier RV Camp Ground in Timpson, Texas, presents a welcoming and budget-friendly option. Located conveniently off US-59 in Timpson, TX 75975, USA, this campground offers a clean and safe environment for RVers seeking a comfortable place to rest.
Based on recent feedback from fellow campers, Frontier RV Camp Ground stands out for its friendly owners. This personal touch can significantly enhance the overall camping experience, making visitors feel welcome and well-cared for. It's always reassuring to know that the hosts are approachable and ready to assist with any needs that may arise during your stay.
The campground is currently undergoing development, with one reviewer mentioning that it is a "new park in the works." This suggests that while the park may still be evolving, it is actively being improved and expanded, which could lead to even better facilities and amenities in the future. It's worth noting that the reviewer observed that most of the current occupants appear to be permanent residents. While this can sometimes impact the transient feel of a campground, it can also contribute to a sense of community and security.
In terms of site infrastructure, Frontier RV Camp Ground offers a mix of options. Some concrete pads are available, which are always a welcome feature for providing a level and stable parking surface. However, one reviewer pointed out that some of these pads could benefit from additional gravel or dirt grading to improve accessibility, particularly for larger vehicles like dually trucks. They recounted an experience where the soft ground around a pad necessitated the use of four-wheel drive to position their fifth wheel. Furthermore, they noted that the earth around the pad had not been reworked, creating a berm that made walking around the site somewhat challenging due to the risk of twisting an ankle.
Despite these minor infrastructural challenges, the essential utilities at Frontier RV Camp Ground received positive feedback. The availability of great utilities is a crucial aspect of any RV park, ensuring that guests have reliable access to power, water, and sewer hookups. Additionally, the reviewer specifically mentioned that the Wi-Fi service was excellent, which is increasingly important for travelers who need to stay connected for work or leisure.
Adding a unique element to the campground is the presence of a flea market on-site. This could be an interesting amenity for visitors who enjoy browsing for unique finds or local goods. The reviewer also noted an unusual sight: a large furniture burn pile. While this might not directly impact the camping experience, it's an observation that provides a glimpse into the ongoing activities at the property.
One practical challenge highlighted in the feedback was the signage for the campground. The reviewer mentioned that signage was not present at the road, making it difficult to locate the entrance. This is a crucial piece of information for prospective visitors, as clear signage is essential for easy navigation, especially for those arriving at night or unfamiliar with the area. Campers should be aware of this potential issue and perhaps use GPS coordinates or other mapping tools to aid in finding the exact location.
Overall, the initial assessment from one reviewer was that Frontier RV Camp Ground is a "great overnight campground but not for long term." This suggests that while it might have some areas needing further development for extended stays, it serves as a reliable and convenient option for travelers seeking a place to park and rest for a night or two.
The second review provides further valuable insights, particularly for those who prioritize safety and convenience. The reviewer expressed gratitude for finding this "little RV campground" after discovering that local truck stops were full and feeling unsafe at a Walmart parking lot. This highlights a key benefit of smaller, dedicated RV parks: providing a secure and more comfortable alternative to less structured overnight options.
The fact that the reviewer spotted Frontier RV Camp Ground on a map just before passing it up underscores the importance of having the correct location information readily available. Their experience of pulling into a "small, but clean & cozy campground" paints a positive picture of the park's atmosphere. They were pleased to find a concrete pad available with both 30 and 50 amp electric service, catering to different RV power needs. Although they only utilized the electric and water hookups, the presence of full hookups suggests that all sites, or at least most, are equipped to handle the complete range of RV utilities.
The price point of $25 per night was explicitly mentioned as being "right," indicating that Frontier RV Camp Ground offers good value for money. This affordability can be a significant factor for budget-conscious travelers. The reviewer also echoed the observation of long-term residents but reiterated that the park was clean and provided a sense of safety, which was their primary concern after a long day of travel.
A notable amenity for pet owners is the presence of a large grassy area, providing ample space for dogs to exercise. This is a significant plus for those traveling with furry companions, as having a dedicated area for them to run and play can greatly enhance the travel experience for both owner and pet. The reviewer, traveling in a 37-foot fifth wheel, confirmed that the concrete pad they used was sufficiently long for their camper.
In conclusion, for local users and those traveling through Timpson, Texas, Frontier RV Camp Ground offers a friendly, clean, and affordable option for overnight stays. The owners are reported to be very friendly, and essential utilities like reliable Wi-Fi are available. While the park is still under development and some site improvements may be ongoing, the presence of concrete pads (some needing minor grading), full hookups, and a pet-friendly grassy area make it an attractive choice. The affordable nightly rate of $25 adds to its appeal. However, prospective visitors should be aware that signage from the road may be lacking, requiring careful navigation. Despite this, Frontier RV Camp Ground appears to be a welcoming and safe haven for RVers seeking a comfortable stop in the Timpson area.

Frontier RV Camp Ground Reviews
Very friendly owners! New park in the works. Most appear permanent residents. A few concrete pads which need gravel or more dirt grading to make them easily accessible. Ground is soft for large dually. Had to four wheel drive the camper onto the pad. Earth around pad not reworked so a berm makes it tough to walk without twisting ankle. Utilities are great! WiFi great. Flea market on site. Large furniture burn pile was interesting. Signage for campground was not at road. Makes finding it tough. Great overnight campground but not for long term. We camped at Frontier RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Oct 30, 2023 · Don BowenSo thankful for this little RV campground. The local truck stops were full and we didn't feel safe staying overnight at Walmart. We were tired but continued heading down the road to wherever. I saw this spot on the map just before we passed it up... pulled in to a small, but clean & cozy campground. They even had a concrete pad available with 30/50 amp electric. Full hookups present, but we just used electric & water. Price is right at $25/night!! Not all the sites have concrete pads, but I'm guessing they all have full hookups. Looks like some long-term folks here, but it's clean, and we feel safe here. The hubs said "I'd rather be here than a truck stop!" There is also a large grassy area where we could let our big dog burn up some energy after being in the truck all day. We camped in a 37 ft 5th wheel and the pad was plenty long for our camper. I'd post a pic, but it's after dark now.

Thanks a bunch. We were taking bread to church and we were in a hurry, so I appreciated his patience we us. I recommend them 99.9 percent. Make it a great day.
