Glenn View Mobile Home Park Introduce
Located at 3580 Pacific Coast Hwy in Oxnard, California, Glenn View Mobile Home Park is a mobile home community that has undergone significant changes over the years. For individuals exploring "RV parks near me" or considering a more permanent living situation in a mobile home park, it is essential to have a comprehensive understanding of the environment and conditions of potential communities. The information available regarding Glenn View Mobile Home Park, primarily sourced from a former long-term resident's review, paints a concerning picture of its current state.
The review indicates a notable decline in the park's condition over a period spanning from 1997 to 2020. Initially described as a "semi-clean well kept park with nice neighbors," the community reportedly deteriorated into a "neighborhood that is falling apart." This suggests a significant shift in the overall environment and upkeep of the property.
One of the most critical issues highlighted in the review is the park's "horrible drainage." According to the former resident, the septic system frequently overflows during rain, resulting in a pervasive sewer odor. This not only impacts the immediate environment but also raises serious concerns about sanitation and potential health hazards. The description of "puddles of sewer and rain water all over" the poorly maintained streets further emphasizes the severity of the drainage problem and its detrimental effect on the living conditions within the park.
Beyond the infrastructure issues, the review also points to a lack of maintenance concerning the individual homes within the park. The statement "The homes are not maintained" suggests a potential for disrepair and neglect, which could affect the overall aesthetic and safety of the community. Additionally, the issue of residents parking "more cars than they should in every home" indicates a potential problem with overcrowding and limited parking availability, which can contribute to congestion and inconvenience within the park.
The review further alleges that some residents "dump their junk outside of their home" and react negatively to requests for cleanup from authorities. This behavior suggests a disregard for community standards and a potential for the accumulation of unsightly and potentially hazardous materials within the park. Such conditions can significantly detract from the quality of life and the overall appearance of the mobile home park.
A particularly concerning aspect of the review involves the issue of rent payment. The former resident states that tenants had not paid rent for several years due to the park being "marked as not suitable to live in." This situation arose from the reported poor conditions of the park. Subsequently, the park was sold to a new investment group that initiated improvements and regained permission to collect rent. However, this lasted for less than a year, as tenants reportedly used the persistent bad conditions as grounds for complaints, leading to another prohibition on rent collection.
The current situation, as described, is that "no rent is being collected," which has seemingly led to a lack of incentive for tenants to maintain their properties or care about the park's overall condition. The reviewer suggests that residents become defensive when asked to clean up their property and prefer to live in what is described as an "unhabitable trailer park." Furthermore, confrontations and threats allegedly occur if owners attempt to enforce cleanup efforts.
The former resident's overall assessment is highly negative, advising others to "Stay away from this place it is a mess." The prediction that "this park will be closed eventually and turned into something else" underscores the severity of the issues described and the potential instability of the community.
Contrasting sharply with the detailed negative account, a brief and isolated statement offers a completely different perspective: "Welcome to my neighborhood where everyone gets along." This single sentence suggests that some residents may have a positive experience or perceive the community differently. However, given the extensive and specific negative feedback provided in the rest of the review, this isolated comment may not accurately reflect the overall conditions of the park.
For individuals actively searching for "RV parks near me" or considering long-term residency in a mobile home park in Oxnard, the information available regarding Glenn View Mobile Home Park presents significant cause for concern. The reported issues with drainage, septic overflow, street maintenance, unmaintained homes, excessive parking, accumulation of junk, and the complex history of rent collection and tenant-management relations paint a picture of a community facing substantial challenges.
While the park's location at 3580 Pacific Coast Hwy in Oxnard might seem convenient, the living conditions described in the review appear to outweigh any potential locational advantages. The lack of maintenance and the alleged confrontational behavior of some residents towards cleanup efforts could create an unpleasant and potentially unhealthy living environment.
It is important to note that this introduction is based solely on the information provided in a single, albeit detailed, review. While this review offers valuable insights into the experiences of at least one long-term resident, it may not represent the views or experiences of all current residents. However, the specificity and the severity of the issues raised warrant serious consideration for anyone contemplating living in Glenn View Mobile Home Park.
Given the significant concerns raised, prospective residents are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution and conduct thorough due diligence before considering Glenn View Mobile Home Park as a potential living option. This due diligence should include, at a minimum, visiting the park in person, observing the conditions firsthand (especially after rainfall to assess drainage issues), and attempting to speak with multiple current residents to gain a broader range of perspectives. It would also be prudent to inquire with local authorities or regulatory agencies about the park's current status and any outstanding violations or complaints.
In conclusion, based on the available information, Glenn View Mobile Home Park appears to be a community facing significant challenges related to maintenance, infrastructure, and community dynamics. The negative experiences reported by a former long-term resident highlight serious concerns about the living conditions and overall environment of the park. While one brief comment suggests a positive neighborly atmosphere, the overwhelming evidence from the detailed review indicates otherwise. For those searching for "RV parks near me" or considering a move to a mobile home park in Oxnard, Glenn View Mobile Home Park warrants careful scrutiny and thorough investigation before any commitment is made.

Glenn View Mobile Home Park Reviews
I lived in this mobile home park from 1997 to 2020. The Park went from being a semi-clean well kept park with nice neighbors to a neighborhood that is falling apart. The park has horrible drainage and whenever it rains the septic system overflows and it smells like sewer. The street is badly maintained so you see nothing but puddles of sewer and rain water all over. The homes are not maintained and people park more cars than they should in every home. They dump their junk outside of their home and are upset if they are ever told by the state that they need to clean up.They tenants have not paid rent for years since the park was marked as not suitable to live in. The last 5 years we lived there we paid no rent, not even water or electricity. The park was sold to another investment group who started fixing things and got permission to collect rent again. This only lasted for less than a year since the tenants used the bad conditions as a reason to complain and again they were prohibited from collecting rent. Now that no rent is being collected the tenants could care less if anything gets fixed. They will get upset if told to clean up their property and prefer to live in an unhabitable trailer park. If the owners try to tell the tenants to clean up they will confront them and threaten them.My theory is this park will be closed eventually and turned into something else. The tenants are asking for it and you will see them finally complain ones the time comes. For years people rented out their mobile home even though sub-leasing was not allowed. Stay away from this place it is a mess.
