Based on recent customer reviews, this campground offers a prime riverside location with a focus on outdoor activities and a welcoming atmosphere.
One of the most prominent features of Guadalupe River Rentals RV Campground is its stunning location directly on the Guadalupe River. Guests consistently praise the "beautiful spot on the river," highlighting its appeal for relaxation and recreation. The campground provides excellent river access, making it an ideal destination for those who enjoy water-based activities such as kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing. As one long-term guest noted, they spent much of their off-time at the river access or on the river with their paddle boards, emphasizing the ease and enjoyment of riverside living here.
For those who enjoy fishing, Guadalupe River Rentals RV Campground seems to be a prime location. Reviewers mentioned seeing "a lot of visitors enjoying fishing at the river access," suggesting that the river is well-stocked and provides a rewarding fishing experience. Be sure to "bring your fishing rods" if you plan to stay here and take advantage of this popular activity.
The campground goes above and beyond by providing amenities to enhance the river experience. Kayaks are available for guests to use at "no extra cost," offering a fantastic opportunity to explore the Guadalupe River at your leisure. This complimentary amenity adds significant value to the stay and encourages guests to get out on the water. The river access area is also thoughtfully designed, being "very nicely set" and "well lit at night," ensuring both daytime enjoyment and evening strolls along the riverbank are safe and pleasant.
In addition to the river access, the campground features a "nice concreted river walk near the campground for an after dinner stroll." This paved walkway provides a convenient and scenic route for leisurely walks, allowing guests to further enjoy the riverside environment and the peaceful surroundings, especially as the day cools down.
The RV sites at Guadalupe River Rentals RV Campground are reported to have "all the hookups you could need," ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay for RV travelers. This suggests that essential utilities such as electricity, water, and sewage are readily available at each site. One long-term guest in a 40’ Class A RV confirmed that the campground could accommodate larger rigs, which is an important consideration for those with bigger RVs.
While the positive aspects of the campground are numerous, some reviewers noted that "the lots are a bit close together." This is a common characteristic of many RV parks, and while it might reduce the sense of complete privacy, Guadalupe River Rentals RV Campground seems to mitigate this by its other offerings. One guest mentioned that "the owners always tried to keep a spot open between campers when possible," indicating a considerate approach to spacing when feasible. Another reviewer pointed out that the exceptional river access and outdoor communal areas make the proximity of the lots less of an issue, as guests tend to spend their "chill time" enjoying these shared spaces.
The outdoor communal areas appear to be a significant feature. One reviewer specifically mentioned a "good spot on the river for BBQs and kayaking," and that they "made dinner out by the river it was great." Another highlighted the "outdoor kitchen and table set up" as being so nice that it encourages guests to spend much of their time there. These communal facilities foster a sense of community among campers and provide a wonderful setting for enjoying meals and socializing by the river.
For traveling healthcare workers or those planning an extended stay, Guadalupe River Rentals RV Campground seems well-suited. One couple stayed for over seven months in their 40’ Class A and noted that while neighborly activity was light for most of their stay, it did increase with the seasonal change in visitors. This suggests that the campground can accommodate long-term stays and experiences varying levels of occupancy throughout the year.
Overall, the reviews paint a picture of a well-located RV campground that prioritizes access to the Guadalupe River and fosters an outdoor-oriented experience. The availability of complimentary kayaks, the well-maintained river access, the fishing opportunities, and the scenic river walk are significant draws. While the RV sites may be somewhat close together, the emphasis on the beautiful riverside environment and communal outdoor spaces seems to more than compensate for this for many guests.
If you are looking for "RV parks near me" in Kerrville, Texas, and value direct access to the Guadalupe River, opportunities for kayaking and fishing, and a welcoming atmosphere, Guadalupe River Rentals RV Campground is an excellent choice. Its location on Riverside Drive ensures easy access, and the positive reviews highlight the enjoyable experiences of past guests. Guadalupe River Rentals RV Campground Reviews
My husband and I are traveling healthcare workers and our stay was from September 24 to April 25 in our 40’ class A. Most of our stay was light with neighborly activity. With the seasonal change, visitors did increase. The lots are a bit close together but we were able to fit our Mazda 3 on the same lot. The owners always tried to keep a spot open between campers when possible. The small lot was easily remedied by spending most of our off time at the river access or on the river with our paddle boards. Bring your fishing rods. We saw a lot of visitors enjoying fishing at the river access. The river access is very nicely set and has kayaks available at no extra cost. It is also well lit at night. There is also a nice concreted river walk near the campground for an after dinner stroll.
Apr 14, 2025 · heather williamsBeautiful spot on the river for BBqs and kayaking. My wife and I made dinner out by the river it was great. Good spot for the RV, all the hookups you could need. The spots are kinda close together, but the river access and outdoor kitchen and table set up is so nice that most of your chill time can be spent there. I will be coming here again and highly recommend it. Bring fishing pole and kayak and tubes
