The resort's location along the Guadalupe River adds to its charm, offering potential for scenic views and access to river-related activities. The availability of "trails along the Guadeloupe River" further enhances the appeal for those who enjoy outdoor recreation and exploring the natural surroundings.
The resort offers more than just RV sites; they also have cabin rentals, as highlighted by a guest who "really enjoyed our 3 night stay at the cabin." This provides flexibility for different types of travelers, whether you're in an RV or prefer the comfort of a cabin. The cabins are described as "super cute, spacious, and comfortable," making them a welcoming home away from home. Features like a "full-size fridge and stove" in the cabin cater to those who prefer to prepare their own meals, and the "outside patio was a neat touch" for enjoying the Texas weather.
Check-in at Old River Road RV Resort is reported to be "smooth," and the staff is consistently praised for their friendliness and accommodation. One reviewer described the staff as "incredibly friendly and accommodating," which can significantly enhance the overall guest experience. This positive interaction upon arrival sets a welcoming tone for your stay.
For those traveling with pets, Old River Road RV Resort appears to be a welcoming choice. One guest mentioned traveling with their dogs and appreciated the convenience of being located "right behind the dog park." This amenity is a significant advantage for pet owners, providing a dedicated space for their furry companions to exercise and socialize safely.
Transportation within the resort seems to be facilitated by "affordable golf cart rental." This option allows guests to easily navigate the property and explore the trails along the Guadalupe River at their own pace, adding a fun and convenient way to experience the resort's offerings.
While the majority of the feedback is positive, there were a couple of areas noted for potential improvement. One guest mentioned that the "bed sheets was old but clean," suggesting that while cleanliness is maintained, some furnishings might be due for an update. Additionally, internet connectivity appears to be an issue. The review stated that the "internet was pretty horrible so the TV didn't work most of the time and I was unable to work from the cabin." Furthermore, there was a discrepancy regarding paid internet, with the website suggesting it was available, but the receptionist stating they no longer offered it. This lack of reliable internet could be a significant drawback for those needing to stay connected for work or entertainment.
Check-out for one guest was described as "a bit rough," although they attributed it to the receptionist having a bad day and didn't consider it a major issue. However, it's worth noting that inconsistencies in service during departure can leave a lasting impression.
Despite the issues with internet and the minor point about the bed sheets, the overall sentiment from the reviews is positive. One guest concluded their review by saying, "Overall a great stay and we would definitely return here again when I'm not traveling for work," indicating a high level of satisfaction with the resort's other aspects. Another guest, staying in an RV, stated, "we will definitely stay here again," further reinforcing the positive experiences at Old River Road RV Resort.

Old River Road RV Resort Kerrville, TX Reviews
We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at the cabin. I traveled the weekend with our dogs and my husband joined me for the extended stay.Check in was smooth and the lady was really sweet. The cabin was super cute, spacious, and comfortable. We were right behind the dog park so that was convenient. We only heat up food and didn't cook anything but it was nice having full size fridge and stove, and the outside patio was a neat touch. Check out was a bit rough but I think the receptionist just had a bad day, no big deal.Bed sheets was old but clean so we weren't picky. Internet was pretty horrible so the TV didn't work most of the time and I was unable to work from the cabin. The website said we could pay for internet but receptionist said they no longer offer paid internet, so it was frustrating.Overall a great stay and we would definitely return here again when I'm not traveling for work.
Mar 17, 2025 · Christine CWhat a beautiful, clean rv resort. Check-in was super easy the staff here was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Affordable golf cart rental with trails along the Guadeloupe River. We stayed here in a 33 foot travel trailer and we will definitely stay here again.
May 03, 2025 · Jan CampbellPark is well kept. Staff Is very nice. Pool table took my money, Then was told it's not theirs so couldn't fix it. Hall is very spacious but kitchen was locked so we couldn't use it.
Dec 08, 2024 · Penny McCammonI'm only giving them a 2 because it's a clean place. I have stayed with them 4 times now and it's definitely not a friendly place. I have as well as others I have talked to told them about their (not hot tub) and the cold jets for a year now and the man told me this time that it needs a new control module and that would be $1100 so that's not possible.... Uhhh sir, you make that in a few hours with golf cart rental in the summer. It's a bummer that such a nice place would have such unfriendly ppl and no desire to get things fixed....
Dec 03, 2024 · Annie HerringThis park has been quite good to us. We return every couple of years and enjoy the open space. Beautiful sunsets. Bright star sky. An excellent destination.
