We liked this TT campground for it's rustic setting, large, level sites with lots of trees/ shrubs for privacy. Quite a bit of downwd limbs & branches needing to cleared but otherwise all sites looked great. Bathrooms were clean with hot shower and good water pressure. Roads are all gravel but well graded.What we didn't like: No sewer hookups anywhere in the park, laundry room was expensive - $3.25 each for washer & dryers but no hot water at all, COLD WATER wash only for $3 25! Absolutely no other amenities open this time of year... clubhouse, store, pool, hot tub, mini golf, pickleball - all closed for the season. Really? They can't even open the clubhouse?Naturally several loops are closed for the season.Lack of sewer in sites was not a problem for us since we were only staying a week. Much longer than that and you'd need to pullout to dump at their dump station or pay a service to be pumped out.All in all a clean, quiet spot to camp close to Sunriver, Bend, skiing and tons of other outdoor activities. However, if I were paying retail, I'd probably camp down the road at LaPine State Park for 1/2 the price.

If this were the first Thousand Trails we stayed at, we would have cancelled our membership. This place was run down. Only 1/8 washers worked and there’s no hot water for laundry. The management will act like there’s nothing they can do because it’s a third party managing the washers and dryers but they absolutely can ride that company’s butt to make them come and maintain them. There’s a contract that needs to be honored.The lodge is not a lodge. It’s not open for use. Trash. The mini golf is the worst I’ve seen, just remove it. Trees have fell everywhere, there’s one guy cutting them. I would have those trees removed in a few days.Pretty telling that I didn’t get an email after we left asking how we thought they did. We get them from every other Thousand Trails, it’s clear that management at this location does care how you think they did.

Good Rv park - surrounded by forest not too far from Bend . Sites could be a little more maintained - water and power but NO sewer.Facilities are clean. There’s a pool and other recreational facilities but have not used .

EDIT: Since leaving this review, they have shut the water off for 3 days with no information on it coming back, and BOTH dump stations are now closed - My first email to corporate was met with a "We will look in to it, thanks" reply that tells me just how much Thousand Trails really cares. Basically they are trying to charge regular prices for literally no service at all - you can park your RV on BLM land and have the exact same experience that Thousand Trails Bend is offering its customers. Stay away.Ive stayed at this park for three years now, and Ive had the opportunity to see what bad management can do to a great location. I would easily give this a 5 star review in 2022. The recent swath of bad reviews are completely understandable because its almost like the manager Tim is trying to shut the park down with a complete hands off approach and cutting every single corner. Where is there money being spent? They raised the rates for monthly stays and have stopped servicing the park!Not on plowing the snow (They stopped doing that). They were supposed to hire someone months ago because their plow broke. What is the excuse for it being February with STILL no company hired to come plow your campground for you? Does corporate know that people literally cant move in and out of the park? (A sign has now been posted saying to enter at your own risk, which is comical for the people who already paid to be here over the winter)Not replacing their broken equipment so that they can manage the park (If anything is brought up, there is a "Oh that is broken" response)Not on removing dangerous trees (Dead trees are marked with pink ribbons and people still stay in the sites) for literally an entire seasonGarbage very literally just piled up so that crows/wildlife tear it apart and stays there. There are two piles of garbage next to two dumpsters that have been there for months now.The water randomly shuts off with zero warning.The staff is a skeleton crew. Its clear that the workers themselves in lower level positions WORK, the cleaning staff does their job. But the on site management and manager themselves take a complete hands-off position and I have no idea how they earn their money when there is so much needing to be done.All of the replies the manger has given in these reviews about hearing the feedback and implementing it - Thats a joke. Guy is never here at the park in the first place. Nothing is being done or has been done to improve the park the past year, it just keeps getting worse. I highly recommend staying somewhere else until the park is under new management, how they havent been replaced yet is absurd and mindblowing.

As a Lifetime Elite member who invested over $10,000, I am very disappointed with the upkeep at Thousand Trails Bend-Sunriver. The maintenance at this park is horrendous. Everything is overgrown, the weeds covering the sidewalks near the clubhouse. The horseshoe pits are neglected and look like they haven't been maintained in a long time. Overall, the park looks run-down and uncared for.While the sites themselves are spacious and fairly level, all of them only offer power and water hookups—no sewer. For a full-time RVer like myself, this is a hassle, as it means constantly needing to find a way to dump your tanks, which is not ideal for those staying longer.On top of the poor maintenance, the park seems to attract a customer base with RVs in very poor condition, which takes away from the overall experience. Booking this park, as with most Thousand Trails locations, was also difficult despite being a Lifetime member. It’s clear that Thousand Trails prioritizes selling spots to the public over accommodating the people who’ve made a significant investment in their company.If you’re considering a Lifetime Elite membership, I wouldn’t recommend it. A basic membership will get you access to these parks without the frustration of trying to get value out of an expensive membership that the company doesn’t seem to uphold with proper upkeep or respect for its members.
