Hammond Mobile Home Park Introduce
Hammond Mobile Home Park, situated at 42149 Greg Dr in Hammond, Louisiana, is a residential community intended for mobile homes. While the platform category is "RV parks near me," the name clearly indicates that its primary function is to serve as a long-term residential park for manufactured homes. There is no information provided regarding short-term RV stays, and considering the recent negative feedback from residents, the suitability for long-term RV parking would also be questionable. This introduction aims to provide local users with a detailed and objective overview of Hammond Mobile Home Park based on the available customer reviews, highlighting the concerns raised by current residents regarding its environment, services, and overall quality of living.
Environment and Location:
Located on Greg Drive in Hammond, Louisiana, Hammond Mobile Home Park is situated within Tangipahoa Parish. Hammond is a city in southeastern Louisiana, known for its university presence and local community. The immediate environment of the mobile home park, based on resident feedback, appears to be deteriorating. One reviewer described the roads as "horrible," indicating significant issues with the park's infrastructure. This suggests that the physical environment within the park may not be well-maintained, potentially affecting accessibility and the overall aesthetic appeal for residents and visitors.
The surrounding area of Greg Drive in Hammond would typically offer access to local amenities and services. However, the negative conditions within the park itself, as described by residents, seem to overshadow the potential benefits of the location. The review mentioning "loud noise" suggests a potentially disruptive environment within the park, which could detract from the quality of life for residents seeking a peaceful living situation.
One long-term resident provided a historical perspective, noting that when they initially moved into the park under previous ownership, it was "very well kept" with regular maintenance of roads, sewer systems, and grounds. This stark contrast to the current conditions, attributed to new ownership, paints a concerning picture of the park's present environment. The mention of "unsafe conditions for children" is particularly alarming and suggests potential hazards within the community.
Services and Amenities (or Lack Thereof):
Based on the recent customer reviews, the services and amenities at Hammond Mobile Home Park appear to be severely lacking and have deteriorated under new ownership. Specific issues raised by residents include:
- Road Conditions: Multiple reviewers explicitly mention that the roads within the park are in terrible condition and "falling apart," potentially causing damage to vehicles and creating accessibility issues.
- Water Potability: A critical concern is the report of residents having to "boil drinking water for weeks" with no notification regarding the restoration of a safe potable water system. This indicates a significant failure in providing a basic essential service and a lack of communication from the management.
- Waste Management: Residents report inconsistent garbage pickup, with delays of "weeks" at times, leading to potential sanitation issues and unpleasant odors, as one reviewer noted the occasional "smell the trash."
- Sewer Issues: The most alarming service failure is the report of "raw sewage running onto the ground from certain mobile homes," indicating severe problems with the sewer system and posing significant health and environmental risks.
- Maintenance Standards: The previous owner ensured regular maintenance, which is no longer the case under the new management, contributing to the overall decline of the park's infrastructure and living conditions.
- Noise Disturbance: An increase in "noise disturbance levels" suggests a lack of enforcement of community rules regarding noise, impacting the peace and quiet of residents.
- Lack of Standards: The absence of standards for new mobile homes being set up for new tenants could lead to inconsistencies and potentially unsafe installations.
The collective feedback strongly suggests a severe decline in the provision of essential services and maintenance within Hammond Mobile Home Park under its new ownership. These issues raise serious concerns about the health, safety, and overall quality of life for residents.
Features of Hammond Mobile Home Park:
Based on the overwhelmingly negative recent reviews, it is difficult to identify positive features of Hammond Mobile Home Park under its current management. The historical account of a well-kept community under previous ownership serves as a stark contrast to the current state. Any potential features that might typically be associated with a mobile home park, such as a sense of community or affordable long-term housing, are severely undermined by the reported conditions.
The current features, as described by residents, unfortunately include:
- Deteriorating Infrastructure: Horrible roads and a failing sewer system are significant negative features impacting the livability of the park.
- Unreliable Basic Services: Inconsistent garbage pickup and concerns about the potable water supply are major drawbacks.
- Lack of Management Responsiveness: The reported attitude of the new owner ("If someone does not like living here, then move") indicates a lack of concern for resident well-being and a failure to address critical issues.
- Unsafe Conditions: The raw sewage on the ground and the potential safety hazards for children are extremely concerning features.
- Increased Noise Levels: A disruptive living environment due to increased noise is a negative feature for residents seeking peace and quiet.
In light of the strong negative feedback, any potential positive features that might have existed under previous ownership appear to have been negated by the current conditions and management approach.
Promotional Information:
Given the severe negative feedback from current residents, it is highly unlikely that Hammond Mobile Home Park would be actively promoting itself. The provided information does not include any promotional offers or incentives. In fact, the strong recommendations from residents advise against moving into the park under its current conditions and management.
Local users searching for "RV parks near me" or mobile home parks in Hammond, Louisiana, should be extremely cautious about considering Hammond Mobile Home Park based on the publicly available recent reviews. The reported issues with infrastructure, basic services, safety, and management raise significant red flags.
Conclusion for Local Users:
Hammond Mobile Home Park, located on Greg Drive in Hammond, Louisiana, is presented in a highly negative light based on recent customer reviews. Residents describe a significant decline in the park's conditions and management under new ownership. The reported issues include horrible roads, concerns about the potable water supply, inconsistent garbage pickup, raw sewage on the ground, increased noise levels, and a lack of maintenance and responsiveness from the management.
For local users seeking a mobile home park or potentially long-term RV parking in Hammond, Louisiana, Hammond Mobile Home Park, in its current state as described by residents, is strongly not recommended. The unsafe living conditions, lack of essential service maintenance, and the dismissive attitude of the owner, as reported, make this an undesirable place to reside. Prospective residents should thoroughly investigate alternative mobile home parks or RV parks in the Hammond area and heed the warnings from current residents of Hammond Mobile Home Park.

Feb 12, 2024 · Idalia PinedaWhen initially move into this Mobile Home park, it was controlled and owned an Owner that ensured that this community was very well kept. The roads, sewer, grounds, etc were maintained regularly. If a problem came up, the Owner addressed it immediately. Now, a new Owner has taken control of this Mobil Home Park and it has become an undesirable place to live. The roads are falling apart, we have been boiling drinking water for weeks with no notification as to whether the potable water system is restored, the noise disturbance levels has increased, there are no standards to new mobile homes being setup for new tenants, raw sewage is running onto the ground from certain mobile homes, among many other deficiencies. There are unsafe conditions for children. Furthermore, it has been confirmed that the Owner's position on these matters is as follow: "If someone does not like living here, then move". What an attitude. Therefore, I highly recommend that no one moves into this park.
