Hawkins RV Park Introduce
For local users in the Waynesboro, Georgia area, particularly those working at the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant or seeking a peaceful long-term RV parking solution, Hawkins RV Park, located in Waynesboro (GA 30830, USA), presents a compelling option within the "rv parks near me" category. Based on recent customer reviews, Hawkins RV Park offers a blend of convenience, spaciousness, and a friendly management team, making it a noteworthy consideration for those seeking a comfortable and quiet stay in the region.
The environment surrounding Hawkins RV Park is described as a "country setting," suggesting a more rural and tranquil atmosphere away from the immediate hustle and bustle of city life. Its location in Waynesboro places it at a comfortable distance from the traffic associated with the Vogtle plant, making it a convenient commute for workers while still offering a sense of peaceful retreat. The park is also noted to be a "short ride to local shopping," indicating that essential amenities and conveniences are easily accessible. The lots themselves are described as "nice sized" and "clean," providing ample space for RVs and even extra trailers for hauling recreational equipment or personal belongings. One reviewer mentioned seeing some residents even setting up pools on their lots, highlighting the spaciousness and flexibility offered.
The services and management at Hawkins RV Park receive high praise from reviewers. The owners are consistently described as "great," "very friendly," and "easy to get along with," suggesting a welcoming and accommodating atmosphere. Their approach contributes positively to the overall experience of staying at the park. However, it is important to note the absence of certain common RV park amenities. There are "no bath houses" provided, which, while not an issue for all RVers who have onboard facilities, may be a significant drawback for some. Additionally, the park does not offer "park WiFi" or "park cable," which are often desired for connectivity and entertainment. On the positive side, the convenience of a store across the street that sells propane is a significant advantage for RVers needing to replenish their supply.
Several features make Hawkins RV Park an attractive choice for those seeking "rv parks near me." The spacious and clean lots offer a comfortable living area with room for customization and extra storage. The park's strategic location provides a balance between proximity to the Vogtle work site and access to local shopping in Waynesboro. The quiet "country setting" appeals to those seeking a peaceful environment. The friendly and approachable owners contribute to a positive community feel. The convenience of a nearby propane source addresses a practical need for many RVers. However, it is crucial to also consider the noted drawbacks.
One significant environmental factor mentioned is the lack of sufficient shade. According to a reviewer, the absence of adequate tree cover necessitates the constant running of both RV air conditioning units to maintain a comfortable temperature, especially during warmer months. Another environmental consideration is the presence of insects, specifically "gnats and ants," which are reported to be "pretty bad." Therefore, bringing plenty of bug spray is strongly recommended for anyone planning to stay at Hawkins RV Park. A notable feature that may be important for families is the absence of a dedicated play area for children within the park itself. While children may have space to play on individual lots, there are no communal play structures or designated areas for kids.
Promotional information for Hawkins RV Park, aimed at local users searching for "rv parks near me," should emphasize its key strengths: the quiet country setting, the spacious and clean lots, the friendly and helpful owners, and the convenient location for Vogtle workers and access to Waynesboro's amenities. Highlighting the pet-friendly nature (often implied in RV parks unless stated otherwise) and the proximity to a propane source could also be beneficial. To provide a fully transparent and objective introduction, any promotional material should also acknowledge the limitations mentioned in the reviews, such as the lack of shade, the presence of insects, the absence of a dedicated children's play area, and the lack of bathhouses and park-wide internet or cable services. Transparency will build trust with potential residents.
For local users considering Hawkins RV Park, it is essential to weigh the pros and cons based on their individual needs and preferences. For those working at Vogtle or seeking a quiet, spacious, and well-managed park with easy access to local conveniences, Hawkins RV Park appears to be a strong contender. The friendly owners and the overall positive sentiment expressed by reviewers are significant advantages. However, those who prioritize shade, require bathhouse facilities, desire a dedicated play area for children, or need park-provided internet and cable should consider these limitations. The need for effective bug control is also a factor to keep in mind.
The price point is mentioned as being unbeatable, which is a significant factor for many long-term RV residents. This affordability, coupled with the spacious lots and friendly management, seems to outweigh the lack of certain amenities for many who have stayed at Hawkins RV Park. The "pros out way the cons by a mile," as stated by one reviewer, suggests a strong overall value proposition despite the minor inconveniences. Local users are encouraged to contact Hawkins RV Park directly at (706) 360-2020 or +1 706-360-2020 to inquire about current rates, availability, and any specific policies or amenities that may have been updated since the reviews were posted.
In conclusion, Hawkins RV Park offers a convenient and quiet option for those seeking "rv parks near me" in the Waynesboro, GA area, particularly for individuals working at the Vogtle plant or desiring a peaceful long-term stay. Its spacious and clean lots, friendly owners, and proximity to local amenities are significant advantages. While the lack of shade, the presence of insects, the absence of a children's play area and bathhouses, and the lack of park-wide internet and cable are drawbacks to consider, the affordability and overall positive experience reported by residents suggest a strong value for many. Local users are advised to contact the park directly for the most current information and to assess if Hawkins RV Park meets their specific needs and preferences.

Hawkins RV Park Reviews
Great place to park your RV if you are working at Vogtle. Far enough away to just be out of the traffic, and a short ride to local shopping. Nice sized, clean lots with space for extra trailer for hauling your toys, kids to play, or even a pool as I have seen a few people do. Owners are great, very friendly and easy to get along with. The only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars, very minor things and some of which is personal preference.1: Not enough shade for me, both of my AC units run constantly set at 72.2: Bring plenty of bug spray, gnats and ants are pretty bad.3: No place for kids to play other than what you provide on your own lot.4: No bath houses, which isn't important to me, but to some it is.
Jul 08, 2019 · Jasson RiddleA very nice quiet t.v. park and would recommend it to anyone. Only down falls are no park WiFi, no bath house, and no park cable. But you can't beat the price, country setting and a convenience store across the street that sells propane. The pros out way the cons by a mile.
