DO NOT CAMP HERE!I made the mistake of camping here for Vogtle V1R25First off, the lady that owns the place lives in Florida. There is no maintenance there and calling her is futile unless it's rent time. She states on her website that there is free wiFi. There is none. The "laundry facilities" is a shack with garbage all over the floor, some recliner in the center of the shack and some coin operated washers and dryers that don't look like they have worked in years. The entire place is essentially a field. I was there for a month and the grass only got cut once. There is no upkeep at all. The entire property is one giant ant hill. I had ants everywhere throughout my trailer. Just countless ant mounds no matter where you walk on the property. Now let's talk about the thief who owns the place. Her website states that it's $600 a month for a 30amp hookup. My trailer is 30amp. I called here when I arrived and gave her my credit card info. BIG MISTAKE! A week later, she charged me $700 for the spot. She would not reply to messages about refunding my $100. She is nothing More than a thief ripping off hardworking contractors. I had to stop my credit card for fear that she would charge even more. DO NOT give that woman your credit card number! There are much nicer places, that are very well-kept, even closer to the plant for $400 a month. She is simply a conman. I don't know how people like that sleep at night. - Michael Finnegan

Vogtle RV Park Introduce

For local users and those working at or visiting the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant near Waynesboro, Georgia, who are searching for "rv parks near me," Vogtle RV Park, located at 6581 River Rd, Waynesboro, GA 30830, USA, presents a geographically convenient option. However, it is crucial to note that the available customer reviews offer starkly contrasting experiences, which potential visitors should carefully consider when making their decision.

The environment of Vogtle RV Park is described very differently by the two available reviewers. One reviewer who stayed for a month while working at Vogtle V1R25 portrays the entire place as "essentially a field" with grass only being cut once during their month-long stay. They also reported a significant issue with "countless ant mounds" throughout the property, leading to ants being "everywhere" in their trailer. This paints a picture of a poorly maintained outdoor environment. In stark contrast, the other reviewer, who mentioned their dad looking at several places for workers at the nuclear plant, described Vogtle RV Park as the "best" option, noting it was "very nice clean." This discrepancy suggests a potentially significant difference in the experiences of different visitors or perhaps changes in the park's condition or management over time. Local users should be aware of these conflicting reports regarding the park's environment and cleanliness.

The services and facilities at Vogtle RV Park also receive conflicting feedback. The first reviewer was highly critical, stating that the advertised "free WiFi" was non-existent. They described the "laundry facilities" as a dilapidated "shack with garbage all over the floor," featuring old and seemingly non-functional coin-operated washers and dryers and a recliner in the middle of the room. This paints a picture of severely inadequate and unmaintained amenities. Conversely, the second reviewer specifically mentioned a "fairly priced laundry room that works well" and "Excellent WiFi!" This again presents a direct contradiction in the reported quality and availability of essential services. The first reviewer's account also indicates a lack of on-site maintenance, claiming that the owner lives in Florida and is unresponsive to maintenance requests. Potential long-term residents, especially those working at the Vogtle plant, should seek clarification on the current state of the laundry facilities and the availability of reliable WiFi, as well as the responsiveness of management to maintenance issues.

Key features of Vogtle RV Park, based on the limited and conflicting reviews, are its location near the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, which makes it a convenient option for contractors and workers at the site. The first reviewer mentioned staying there for "Vogtle V1R25," indicating its use by plant workers. The advertised monthly rate for a 30amp hookup was $600 according to the first reviewer's account of the website, although they were charged $700. The second reviewer mentioned "fairly priced housing" for plant workers, suggesting that the cost might be reasonable for some. However, the significant discrepancy in the reported cleanliness, amenities (especially WiFi and laundry), and the billing practices raises serious concerns. The first reviewer's experience of being overcharged and the alleged unresponsiveness of the owner to address the discrepancy is a critical point of caution for potential visitors. They explicitly warn against giving credit card information over the phone due to the alleged dishonest practices of the owner.

Currently, there is no explicit promotional information available for Vogtle RV Park in the provided reviews. The first reviewer's mention of a $600 monthly rate for a 30amp hookup (as advertised on the website) could be considered the standard pricing at the time of their stay, but their experience of being charged more and the lack of resolution is a significant deterrent. The second reviewer's comment about "fairly priced housing" is subjective and lacks specific pricing details. Local users and those working at the Vogtle plant would need to contact the park directly to inquire about current rates, availability, and any potential discounts for long-term stays or plant workers. However, given the serious allegations of overcharging and dishonest practices in one of the reviews, it would be prudent to exercise extreme caution when discussing payment and providing financial information.

For local users seeking "rv parks near me" in the Waynesboro area, the proximity of Vogtle RV Park to the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant might be a primary factor for those working at the facility. However, the drastically different experiences reported by the two reviewers necessitate a very careful and thorough investigation before considering a stay. The negative review raises significant red flags regarding the park's maintenance, advertised amenities (WiFi and laundry), and, most concerningly, the billing practices and integrity of the owner. The positive review, while encouraging, lacks specific details about the RV sites themselves and the timeframe of the stay, making it difficult to reconcile with the strongly negative account. Potential residents should attempt to find more recent and corroborating reviews from other sources to gain a more balanced and reliable understanding of the current conditions and management of Vogtle RV Park.

Given the serious allegations in the negative review, local users and those associated with the Vogtle plant are strongly advised to seek alternative RV parks in the vicinity. The first reviewer specifically mentions that "There are much nicer places, that are very well-kept, even closer to the plant for $400 a month," suggesting that comparable or better options exist at a lower price point. Before considering Vogtle RV Park, potential visitors should research these alternative campgrounds, read recent reviews, and ideally visit the locations in person to assess the environment, amenities, and management practices. The significant discrepancies in the provided feedback make it impossible to recommend Vogtle RV Park without a strong caveat about the potential for a negative experience.

In conclusion, Vogtle RV Park's location near the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant in Waynesboro, Georgia, might be convenient for some. However, the extremely negative review detailing poor maintenance, non-existent advertised amenities, and alleged dishonest billing practices stands in stark contrast to the brief positive comment about "nice clean and fairly priced housing." This severe conflict in feedback necessitates extreme caution for any local users or plant workers considering Vogtle RV Park. It is strongly recommended to seek out and thoroughly investigate alternative RV parks in the area and to avoid providing credit card information over the phone to the management of Vogtle RV Park based on the serious allegations of overcharging. Potential visitors should prioritize well-maintained parks with transparent and honest management practices to ensure a safe and satisfactory camping or temporary housing experience near the Vogtle plant.
