Made in the Shade RV Park and Campground Reviews
My husband and I are first-time RVer's and decided solely by chance to try Made in the Shade as our first destination. We could not have been more pleased staying at this family-friendly park. The managers, Terry and Lisa, were incredibly down to earth and friendly. Terry helped us get set up, answered our questions, and eased our anxieties as we started to adjust to our new lifestyle. The park itself is quiet and peaceful. The laundry room is clean with easy to use machines that take credit card payments. There is a lovely community firepit, a dog park, and a small playground. They are working continually to make improvements and there were big changes just in the month we were there. I was surprised that the wifi worked so well being in a remote area. I work from home and encountered few problems with connection. You have to travel a bit for entertainment, although I'm told there is a great place to fish less than 10 miles from the park. If you're looking for a place to really unplug and relax that is affordable, you couldn't do better than Made in the Shade.
Mar 03, 2025 · Lisa WhalenAs a former occupant at Made in The Shade, I loved it there. However, I had to leave sooner than planned, 2 weeks before the end of the month. I asked her for a 2 week refund and was told by the well off (not on Social Security Disability like myself) owner NO! Claim it was against policy. However, 2 other patrons of a different ethnic persuasion than myself were refunded their money when they moved before the end of the month and they were told that she was sorry to see them leave. Erin the owner also didn't refund my electric deposit. What made the place so nice was because of the hard work and dedication of Ben the manager who ran a tight ship. He made me, a single woman feel safe, he looked out for disabled vets, he looked out for everyone. It was more than an RV Park because of Ben,it was a community. It was sad to hear Ben was terminated shortly after I left. Which is unfortunate. The owner's clever marketing information would give people considering to stay there the impression that it's a place owned by people who genuinely care about people and that is sadly far from the truth.
Feb 23, 2025 · Sherita MackI stayed here from March-July with my 3 school age children. It was so peaceful. We stayed while transitioning to our new house. All of the shade trees give us a sense of privacy and certainly helped with the Georgia summer heat. Would recommend!! We were comfortable leaving our 500.00 pellet grill, space X starlink internet and anything else we had if value. I never had to worry about our safety or our things. When we first arrived we were greeted by the staff, and they quickly did not hesitate to jump in and help us get set up
Jul 29, 2024 · Brenda TuellMade in the shade RV park….. a great place to live/ visit at one time. A place where we all enjoyed. until the new management team came and everything changed. They don’t care about their customers . Now there are so many rules. break a rule get reprimanded or evicted. they drive around watching everyone. . now, no decks, tents, or buildings allowed. there is no making a “ home” there. then there is all the dirt. It’s everywhere. The water tastes awful . leaves brown stains in showers, brown slime on pet dishes. Then there is the sewer smell. the sewers need attention but the owners are in denial. There is no handicap assessable facilities. Overall the owners and management are uncaring with no empathy for anyone. This place is basically a horrible place to live/ stay and the lots are overpriced.
Apr 05, 2025 · Laurel Henderson"Perfect Stay for Travel Nurses!"As a travel nurse, finding a safe, quiet, and comfortable place to stay is essential—and Made in the Shade RV Park was the perfect home away from home! The park is clean and well-maintained, with spacious sites, full hookups, and great amenities like a laundry room, bathhouse, and community fire pit.The location is ideal—just a short drive to Augusta hospitals but far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet after long shifts. The management is incredibly friendly and accommodating, and they truly appreciate healthcare workers. Plus, they offer a 5% discount for travel nurses and military veterans, which is a wonderful bonus! If you're a healthcare traveler or veteran looking for a welcoming and affordable RV park, Made in the Shade is the perfect spot. Highly recommend!
